    The wait to see if Weepe has truly been completely broken or just playing the long con for a new backstabbing against the Trust is gonna be excruciating. As well the destiny of pretty much everyone, GOD, this show is amazing in so many levels.

      I am certain that Weepe is planning to kill Imelda horribly. The question is when, why, and how? Does he want to become the most valourous individual in the trust himself, or does he want to blow it all up?

    the sheer weight of this episode is incredible. the man with the strongest sense of direction left aimless yet hopeful. the woman who has ran her whole life is now running towards her greatest threat. the one who betrayed every friendship has now wielded the power of Trust. can't wait for the next season you guys!

    The dramatic irony.
    Lark believes she is going to save Sherman, though unbeknownst to her he needs no saving having already betrayed her. Phineas is doing his job as ad seclar by bringing Lark to the Trust, though he has renounced that role in defiance of a system that enslaved him and unaware that she is the reason for his downfall. Weepe, a living bio chemical weapon, who bleeds terror, has ordered a crusade against someone who is coming straight to him. They think they know so much, but are on a collision course with realising how little they know. And we can only wait for the seemingly inevitable to happen.

      Not to mention Sherman betraying Lark to get back to her daughter, one of the very few people who cares (or perhaps cared, we'll have to wait to know what she thinks of all this) about her. Poor Tzila, man, she's really gonna need that battalion of mothers

    WOW. banger season finale.
    i love Moc Weepe's thematic physical change shown by him having a facade of opaque skin displaying (Valor)White-ish color while hiding tearror (Caenum)black blood reflecting his manipulation to the Trust system by looking valorous on the outside but despicably heinous on the inside.
    after Imelda's intervention he is now a horrifying mix of translucent (Valor)white disgustingly showing the (Caenum)black liquid pulsing inside him. Being a Trust member with high Valor count, his new physical body kinda reflects the way things actually work in the machinations of the Trust, especially with Imelda having him on a leash.

    When I first heard this episode I had a vague idea of what new Weepe looked like, but in my head it was more subtle, like he had more definition in his skin, seeing the proper art and the glassfrog situation he's in, this is way creepier. Actually incredible.
    I wonder if he'd wear a mask and gloves like Imhotep from the Mummy or if hes too narcissistic for that and just likes to shock people now?

    the messiah imagery for Weepe as he reveals all the information the Trust needed is so insane, not a few weeks before he was the one reaping the benefits without a care in the institution and now he's portrayed as the savior. Brilliant fall from "glory"

  • @jazzknh1105

    Honestly, Weepe didn't look too bad, but that might be because the art is so pretty. What was scary was listening to how he spoke. The charisma is gone and it almost sounds like he's drunk the Trust Kool-Aid for real. Really looking forward to the rest of this!

    Oh my god so good but also… another cliffhanger… ugh! Lark being the hero we want but so much adversity.
    Phineas so warped in his thinking… he’s going to have to grow up… fast.

    • @CephandrianJES
      @CephandrianJES 8 месяцев назад +15

      We’ll see if he really is a zealot. He could be angling for that big *big* promotion, seizing power as is best for Moc Weepe. He definitely wants revenge on Imelda, nothing we’ve seen of his new personality makes me think he will forgive Imelda, only that he will bide his time.

    • @bujtorm
      @bujtorm 8 месяцев назад +5

      @@CephandrianJES Weepe wants money. And as Nassim Taleb said, "Trust those who are greedy for money a thousand times more than those who are greedy for credentials"
      He's not a zealot. He's too pragmatic to ever become a zealot.
      I have a strong suspicion that Imelda's gonna get shafted, and Moc will make absolutely sure, when the time comes, and he's holding all the cards, that Imelda Goldfinch will know exactly whom, why, and how did her in.

    I love the symbolic move of the Trust now having the darkness of the Fold invited and brought right into their midst, in a form where the ability to ignore it and not see that truth they ignore, that Caenum, is stripped away with literal transparent flesh revealing the Fold and the darkness at their core. Can't wait for that particular symbolism to play out in its full dramatic irony.

    So the guy Lark killed was properly not a great guy, even though he is recorded as the most vallouress ever in the trust, right? She was apparently barely a teenager when she killed him, and it is not a stretch to think a guy with that much power, might use it to do something bad. My theory is her motive was either revenge, self defense. Maybe an accident or it could also be, she took the fall for someone else, but I am more partial to revenge or self defense or a combination of both.

  • @gorogs
    @gorogs 8 месяцев назад +20

    What a frigging ending. Didn't expect any less, but I'm still so impressed.
    The Tzila-Saskia reunion was honestly Midst's most heartwarming moment so far. Weepe has truly become a monster, and I'm not talking about his new look. Lark and Phineas both trying to do the right thing for once, and yet they're both set to be thoroughly tested. Lark, cause the person she's trying to save has already betrayed her, and Phineas cause, if he shows up in the capital with the Un's most wanted criminal, he could possibly exchange her to get everything he ever wanted on a golden platter of Valor. I'm on the edge of my frigging seat!!!
    I LOVE Lark and Phineas's dynamic, because they're both extremely flawed, yet their most prominent positive attributes are what the other is missing. Lark can't connect with others and Phineas has no backbone. I know it's unlikely but I'd love if, on their way to the Un, they sort of rub off on each other just a tiny bit. Could save them both from ending up like Weepe.
    Man, I love Midst. Can't wait for season 3

    So I called that the 'monster' was Weepe from the beginning. But I didn't expect his appearance. I thought that A) He was just gonna be exactly the same and the monster bit was metaphorical, due to his actions. Or B) He was gonna be much, MUCH worse. Like a slithering mass of tentacles or something. As it is he's not so bad. Just a little more see-through than before. 😛

      the fold wave that struck midst wasn't the mica interacting with fold, it was a stone being dropped into a pool. That wave was a ripple, so my question is if mica over time causes even further causal instability in fold, what will a moon sized shard create and whats its range of effect, and(ty for reminding me the dark is called fold) so many questions more,

      @@alphtheor.879 For further knowledge on the scientific side of Tearrors as a response to more intense forms of light, I'd seriously recommend the Appendixes. If you're just staying with the YT crowd, you're only getting a small part of the story. As mica stays in contact with fold, the mica quickly deteriorates and excites the fold. The mica itself will expend its energy into the fold, though the nature of the Tearror itself is something of much debate both in and out of the cosmos. That being said, there are reoccurring patterns in fold as it relates to the intensity of mica. The more mica, the longer it takes to disintegrate, and the more dangerous the Tearror. You'd be amazed at how instantaneous the disintegration occurs... it's honestly quite terrifying.

    After this ending, I'm thinking The trust might regret making Lark, public enemy N 1.
    There is a lot of tension, in the upper light between the upper trust and everyone else. Saskia and the escapes are an perfect example things are not as pristine as they look. This kind of situation normally call for a Hero of the masses. If public enemy no1 appears joined by the old adcecla, which has decided the trust has lost its way, at the sane time his boss is a public enquiry. This could get hairy

    Your continued silence on the genocide on Palestine, a country that you have taken inspiration from for your 3rd campaign has led me to unsubscribe. And for those who say don't bring politics into this. They have publically given support to BLM and Ukraine. But have done nothing to call out the zionist occupation. Which makes sense since the enterntainment industry is chock full of zionists and since both Laura Bailey and Ashley Johnson have worked with Neil Druckmen writer of the Last of Us games and show, who is a loud and proud zionist who said he put his anger toward palestinians into his work. Remember: "To stay quiet is as political an act as speaking out." -Arundhati Roy

    Spoiler (for the end of this episode)
    "...the female now known as... Lark"
    (I think he would have clarified that Lark is her new name... plus it sounds so much more "Weepe", to say it like that)

    Weepe has been calculating the long play..
    His deeds will have him become ‘most valorous’ (most holy) in the trust.
    However - even if You can change the opacity of the outer skin, inside it is Still Moc Weepe..
    So I totally expect him to take all that valor
    And - sell out the trust - when his valor is worth the maximum amount.

    Great ending to an excellent season. Love seeing how all three main characters have changed and now things are all converging - excited for season 3!
    Also, is Xen's throat okay doing Moc Weepe's new voice lol? It makes everything he says much more threatening but I'm a bit sad because Weepe's original voice was one of my favorite things

I don't think they could have a relationship as "equals", at least not with how the story has developed until now. But Midst is constant twists and turns, so who knows?
