I have never heard a story like this one... the impact it made on me... congrats Nameless Narrators, you 3 moved me in ways i never knew were possible.
It's established early that soldiers in this universe wear shiny bullshit armor. At the last possible second it's revealed that this is because guns are lasers and shiny armor reflects them. Amazing details.
I like how Saskia seemed to pretty much Usurp the Main Character status in this story. Yes, Lark was there and important, Phineas had his journey, but she ended up at the center.
Saskia is like the Catalyst that makes things happen, Weep is in a position to snitch on a bunch of Trust escapees, cuz Saskia. Phineas aids Lark and Tzila, cuz Saskia told him to. The valour/kynham facility blows up, cuz Saskia pulled the handle. Mockweep feels remorse, cuz Saskia (Midst Saskia) reminded him of how he was not a monster at first and became one. The ppl of Staionary Hill rallied against Mockweep's assault on the cabin, because of Saskia, she may not have been the focus of every episode, yet she feels like the main character of this story in how so many events were because of her/ caught in her "orbit" (her personality not actual orbit.) P.S. I really wish the narrators could have been writing the new S.W. t.v. shows...
There's so many little things I wanna comment on. The narrator's voices overlapping as they described the tearrors, "It's love!" had me cackling, all the callbacks to the Stationarians and their tearrors, Meryl Concord getting the final blow, even the logo for the episode and the final line mirroring that of the very first episode. What a masterpiece.
It’s been a journey, and while I’m sad it ends, I don’t think there could have been a better conclusion to such a wild story. I will certainly be diving into the fold again soon to enjoy the journey all over again.
I started tearing up when the townsfolk came to the rescue. Thank you for such a fantastic, compelling, and unique story from start to finish. This one will surely stay with me for a long time.
Listened on Spotify but came here to leave a comment. Absolutely amazing. I'm gonna need a couple days to truly organize my feelings, but yeah. This story was amazing from start to finish, everyone did such a great job. I'm gonna miss it a lot. Nothing is perfect, but this comes close.10/!0. idk I don't have the words to express everything but I hope everyone gets a chance to listen to this and I hope for a bright future for everyone involved.
Dear Third Person, As you vanish into The Fold, I hope it takes you wherever you deserve, rewarding you for bringing us such an amazing experience. Thank you for sharing Midst with us. Yours trully, A Forever Midst Lover.
The rock version of Lark's theme slaps. Also smiled at the closed captions [A bad sound] and [Another bad sound] impeccably placed when (more) bad shit about to go down.
It is over. The most amazing media I have ever seen/heard/watched is over. The final episode is such an amazing blend of everything that makes the show amazing. I hope that we get to hear from you all again. I think that it would be a real shame if that quiet far spot in the desert stays quiet forever
Yeah, that got a queasy laugh out of me. Surprised they didn't pull that line out for Atticus, but I suppose the best lines unfurl themselves in the fullness of time. Like flowers, or blinding heads.
@moonyeclipsey There's a variety of grape jelly made in Massachusetts that's called "Concord grape jelly," after the town where the cultivar was first grown. If you've ever seen American cartoons where jelly is always a dark purple, that's what they're depicting.
What an amazing story. I love the neat wrap around to the first episode's opening. A perfect mix of all of the genres that make this story so unique. The horrific sadness of what Weepe had become and how Lark put him down in a way that was almost gentle was so heart breaking. And our good boy paladins get to disappear into the horizon and Lark became a fold-bound fable in the making and everyone's sweet, plucky twelve and a half year old daughter got her family back. Thank you so much to everyone involved in this wondrous project. I'm even more of a Critical Role fan, and now a devoted Midst fan.
This was an absolute experience. The story, world building, music, the artwork in every single episode.. everything was masterful, from the beginning until the end. Fantastic work, all of you, it was an honour.
What a pleasure to be won over and surprised by Midst week after week! I fell in love with the world, the characters, and the story, and what a great ending! The illustrations have been gorgeous, awesome work by all the artists, and I don't think enough is said about how good the sound design and the music is! The Baron's theme in particular just rocks. Thank you for such an awesome show!
I'm just sitting here, tearing up a bit after the last words, looking up at the night sky, thinking about everything. Thank you guys. Truly, it was an amazing journey.
man, thank you so so so much. what a wonderful story with even more wonderful narrators. please return soon with another if you have another. MIDST forever.
The ride has been incredible. Thank you all for being such wondrous storytellers. Can't wait to see what our theee reliable unreliable narrators do next.
What a finale. What an adventure. What a podcast. Midst is truly one of the greatest things I have ever had the pleasure to follow on the interanet. I am going to miss it so much but man what an amazing ending. Now I wonder what you guys will cook up next. Im sure it will also be amazing.
I am so sad that it has to end and yet so thankful I stumbled over Midst by way of CritRole. Thank you for your brilliance and the first time in years my fantasy had the chance to fire on all cylinders week after week. I LOVE this universe and I hope your genius gets recognized big time, whatever you are up to next.
What am amazing journey! I'm sad there won't be more eps to look forward to every week, but I love how this is a complete and deeply satisfying story. I'll be looking forward to whatever the next project is!
First time ever leaving a comment on RUclips in all my years of using the service, to say this: BRAVO! What an incredible work of art, collaborative and celebratory from the get-go. It felt like listening to a tale from the Three Fates of another realm, all their threads interwoven together. Can’t wait for Moonward!!!
What an absolutely fantastic ending. I had my reservations when I started listening to this podcast in the beginning. What was it going to be like? How would they do it with three different people telling the same story? To be honest my expectations were not very high. I figured I'd give it a listen. You know half a dozen episodes and if I like it keep listening and if I don't then I just go back to regularly scheduled program so to speak. I found myself completely enthralled with it. The characters, the storytelling everything. Haven't heard anything like this before. Not sure if we will again. But it was wonderful and thank you very much for telling the story
This story has opened my eyes to the sheer amount of creativity possible in worldbuilding and storytelling. This has been the wildest of rides and was always the highlights of my Wednesdays. I'm so happy this story got to see it's ending and look forward to future Midst related content because hot damn, consider me a livelong fan.
I am gobsmacked. This wad a wild ride of a series! From the masterful storytelling of the three mystery narrators to the incredibly draw art pieces, this was a beautiful experience. Thank you so much ❤🎉❤🎉
this was a masterpiece. Thank you third person, for gifting us with this story. It was wild, crazy, heartfelt, stressful, and beautiful. I eagerly look forward to whatever y'all decide to do next!
Thank you Third Person. Such an amazing world you let us glimpse into. You all did brilliant jobs on the artwork, sound design, voice acting and most of all storytelling. I really am grateful, thank you
This is an absolutely beautiful and profound story and a masterpiece work. Every aspect of it is completely amazing. Thank you, Third Person, for all the laughs, fears, tears, and everything in between. I am so grateful to have been able to witness this and await whatever you do next with anticipation.
Now that its done I can confidently say this is far and away the best podcast I've listened to, and the art has been consistently incredible. Thank you all so much for creating this amazing work! I love Lark, I love Pineas and Sphar, I love Saskia and Saskia and Tzila and Sherman and even Weepe. Truly I cannot compliment it highly enough, I've recommended it to a few friends and going to recommend it to more.
There's been a handful of times in the series where I got choked up, but I think the most unexpected for me was all the stationarians callbacks and willingness to fight. Maybe it only got me because I knew it was the end, idk. Either, what a brilliant work start to finish. Thanks for the laughs, thanks for the tears. Can't wait to see what un(fold)s next.
That part really got me too. Just seeing how much they came together as a community and rebuilt over the course of the series was really beautiful to me
Gosh I feel like I need a wrap up episode with Third Petson answering all the questions xjsbxbd😢 but maybe some things are better left unanswered it was an uncredibke ride❤
Absolutely phenomenal and mind boggling story. I hope everyone at Third Person has a wonderful life. Thank you for sharing your story with us. Fantastic! Truly my favorite.
Thank you for everything you wonderfully unreliable narrators!!! I feel that this series truly helped me through a tough time in my life with deaths in the family and changes overall. Truly greatful for a compelling and powerful story to draw me into another world. I look forward to whatever comes next from the three of you glorious souls. May your successes be as enduring as Landlord.
An amazing conclusion to an amazing tale. While the time has come to say Goodbye, for now. I hope it is not Farewell and you will have another tale to share in the future! Thanks for all of your work and effort to share this tale with us!!!
Wow, what a ride this whole audio drama has been! I'm both happy and sad that it's over. Though most of all I'm content to have been on this ride. Thank you for all that you have put into it.
Congratulations on a masterpiece. I’m gutted it has ended but my heart is full that you shared this story with us and I can’t wait to see what you do next. Thank you!
I'm so sad that it's over, but what an incredible journey it's been. I hope you guys have more amazing stories to share with us! I'm gonna be thinking about this one for long time.
34:08 "[Because] it's given up on finding any other way to be." That is quite possibly the most tragically beautiful line of the entire series. Although the Tearror Effects MadLibs Sentence Tag was pretty danged impressive. Thanks, you three. Loved every minute of it all 🙂❤️. Congratulations 🎉🎆✨!
Absolutely Amazing from the beginning to end! Thank You for sharing this world with us! I have been going back and relistening to the seasons and soaking in all the Easter eggs and character lore seeded throughout! Currently my go to listening choice as I drift my brain to sleep mode. Can't wait to hear what's next for you three!
I would like to thank our amazing unreliable but not evil narrators. It was thanks to you three that this amazing story happened, and that i and others got to enjoy your guy's hard work. You three manage to pull me into a story with sound alone and that is truly a special skill. Thank you.
Thank you guys so much for this incredible thing you’ve made. Some of the actually coolest writing I’ve ever seen, from Weep’s rant at Emelda and Spar, to the concept of the trust, to the parallel Saskia episodes! This has been an incredible journey in an amazing world with an insane cast of characters. Never stop telling stories, and I’ll be right here to listen!
This has become one of my favorite stories! Everything from the story, narration, music, etc, etc, has been brilliant! Thank you for an amazing three seasons and I look forward to more stories from this group
What an amazing final episode! Lark's farewell to Tzila was deeply moving. Loved the line about Concord turning to jelly. I'll miss this show so much. Please come up with a new one soon!
I have to see this animated 😮 All of it, everything, I'll be listening again soon. I really hope you all decide to do another project in the future. I absolutely loved every single minute. Thank you, so much 🩷💛💙
Thank you! This was an incredible journey. Although i did not really like the ending i must say that the story as a whole and your way of presenting it was amazing. wish you best of luck and hope to listen to you guys again in the future. :)
this story never failed to leave me in suspense and waiting for the next episode its a shame its story is done now but damn your storytelling has been unmatched thank you midst crew
This is the most amazing project I have ever experienced I can barely explain all of the amazing things I love about the way the storytelling works or the descriptions used or the narrators’ emotional projection or the music and subtle sfx
Oh man what a wild ride. That was such amazingly brilliant beautiful thrilling yet sad and bitter end to this journey. It had me on a absolute brutal emotional rollercoaster. Twisting, turning, weaving, bobbing, dipping, looping, and smashing through every range of emotions again & again. You guys made the most fantastical story I've heard in a while. [Not excluding or putting down the CR Crew. We still love you guys too.] I can't wait to hear what new tale you bring us next. I know I'll be foaming at the mouth in intisipation until then. ❤😂😢😮
Giselle has no mercy. Only frogs.
My favorite quote.
Most cowboys fade into the sunset. This cowgirl fades into the dawn.
Thank you all so much. It won't ever be enough, but thank you. Thank you.
I have never heard a story like this one... the impact it made on me... congrats Nameless Narrators, you 3 moved me in ways i never knew were possible.

Only partway through but oh my god the Blinding from episode one being a chekhovs gun for now is INSANE
I cheered when that thing showed up. What a callback.

Jesus. I don’t know if I have heard a better story in a long time, a better execution, satisfying and surprising and beautiful
I started tearing up when the townsfolk came to the rescue. Thank you for such a fantastic, compelling, and unique story from start to finish. This one will surely stay with me for a long time.
Same!
Through the magic of storytelling, we can see the Blindings when no one in universe really can. And they are magnificent.
58:20 "And now, not even us."
Thank you Third Person for this amazing ride!
I absolutely loved it! Especially how Weepe and Saskia's song was incorporated into the score.
Absolutely incredible. Hands down the best work of fiction I have ever witnessed. Amazing job, Third Person, and farewell.
Words cannot express how much I loved this series!
God speed, Third Person; I can't wait to see what you make next
"It's love!"
"NO!"
🤣

Landlord is such a good dog
The bestest boy
What started with Lark, Zeela, Landlord, and a divination pouch also ended the same! Thanks for the ride.
😮 why yes.. yes it did 😊 lovely!
"Welcome to the afterlife! Cause of death?" "Frogs." "Excuse me?"
Dear Third Person,
As you vanish into The Fold, I hope it takes you wherever you deserve, rewarding you for bringing us such an amazing experience.
Thank you for sharing Midst with us.

There is nothing this far out in the desert. Thank you.
Oh my god I just got it. Concord to Jelly. That’s so sickeningly funny
Hahahahaha I didn't put it together til I read this comment. Thanks for that!!
Yeah, that got a queasy laugh out of me. Surprised they didn't pull that line out for Atticus, but I suppose the best lines unfurl themselves in the fullness of time. Like flowers, or blinding heads.
i still don’t get it 😭

Lark opens fire
Roll for terrors of the warp
Straight to terrors, eh? Why not throw the phenomena table in for fun
Glad we reached the climax, sad the story is over. Thank you Third Person for this amazing story!
The description of the laser blast into the Foldmersible, with the blending of one description into another was brilliant. Very well done.
What an incredibly satisfying story from beginning to end. Every payoff was meaningful and worth it. THANK YOU
"You can't tell us what to do"
Why would I THIS IS SO FUCKING GOOD

You can actually get that if you join the fold, though I expect a similar episode with sam and marisha may release in a week.

Thank you!
There is nothing this far out in the desert. Nothing... except for one small cabin (?) of sorts.
I'm so sad that it's over, but what an incredible journey it's been. I hope you guys have more amazing stories to share with us! I'm gonna be thinking about this one for long time.

This was sooo good. I laughed so much, your comedic timing and sense of humor is incredible. Great Ending to a great story! Thank you!
Absolutely Amazing from the beginning to end! Thank You for sharing this world with us! Thank you guys so much for this incredible thing you’ve made. This has been an incredible journey in an amazing world with an insane cast of characters. Never stop telling stories, and I’ll be right here to listen!
Well done! Thank you for this story.
This has become one of my favorite stories! Everything from the story, narration, music, etc, etc, has been brilliant! Thank you for an amazing three seasons and I look forward to more stories from this group

This series has been incredible. Thank you Third Person for this journey and I hope we'll get to see more from you in the future.
I love when a story has a good ending
What an amazing final episode! Lark's farewell to Tzila was deeply moving. Loved the line about Concord turning to jelly. I'll miss this show so much. Please come up with a new one soon!
A fantastic end to a fantastic story.
I can’t wait to see/listen to what y’all do next!
I have to see this animated 😮
