Hundreds of ships is a TINY amount of ships for a space fairing civilization. During the Napoleonic wars Briton had about 950 combat ships with 113 being ships of the line. During this time they where deployed all around the world not just in one combat sector. This is something people always fail to understand the resources from even a solar system would require so many ships to manage.
In Star award, the Galactic Empire had around 25000 Imperial class Star Destroyers. They were not even close to enough - by at least an order of magnitude - to actually exert control over its enormous territory. Hundreds is laughable.

Aliens have a collective hive mind. Humans don't, we fight with each other, we don't always agree on one thing, but we do agree on one thing, NEVER MESS WITH HUMANITY, WE WILL BITE BACK.
There’s no way to know if they’d have a hive mind but it’s very likely that that’s be the type of civilization that could actually achieve interstellar travel
If I were to guess, either terran command structure is having issues, even lost a number of high ranking personnel, the rank of captain here has more authority than a captain usually would, (Especially since he has command of a secret and extremely powerful fleet), or the powers that be for earth simply gave this captain the authority to do as he deemed fit. (Or simply commanded him to do it.) Though he could be acting on his own accord. And the terran government simply shrugged.
@@mill2712remember the division, maybe terran command has something similar and this captain is a member of such group or institution. Being able to act without being slowed down by red tape BS politics would be a good thing to have especially when dealing with some annoying council.
@soundcloudpandapandawa2997 That's a possibility. Flag officers do tend to have to adhere to a lot more political issues and bureaucracy than their subordinates. There's also the possibility that the admiralty are simply commanding away from the frontline. Giving him orders from headquarters or giving him complete autonomy in his course of action.
Humans considered primitive by current standards... Sigma fleet built centuries before this point when humans were first exploring... Sigma fleet has advanced technology centuries ahead of anything the council has seen... wtf is this?
Just because the ships were built long ago doesn't mean that humans stopped playing with them. But yes, it seems strange that every weapon is far too powerful.
I definitely consider it a plot hole. They could have filled the plot hole quite easily by saying that humans during the centuries of their containment were secretly experimenting and advancing in weapons technology surpassing even other races of the galactic council blah blah blah blah blah.
Love the artwork at around 21:00, the alien drinking green liquid. I don’t care how augmented it is by whatever, there’s an artist somewhere who should know it’s a great job. 🤘🏻❤️🤘🏻
This seems to be an ongoing theme but these things need maintenance... plus technology always advances... mothballed ships will invariably be outdated after so many years.
And sometimes seemingly outdated ships are recommissioned for missions that they would be more effective for than more modern systems. Just remember that the US Navy used the WW2 era Iowa class battleships as late as the 1990s despite them being built in the early 1940s. To quote terminator. "Old. Not obsolete"
@@chaselaurence8783 I never said they would not be useful but the author hyped how advanced they are after being mothballed for so many years... they can't be that advanced after so many years and that tech knowledge should have gotten used in other applications, refined and gotten even better... I would buy it if the human race was much more advanced than the rest of the galaxy but in that case the galaxy should have noticed and this would be a non-issue.
It does. That’s why Ukrainians are fighting with modern firearms… and also Maxim guns and bolt action rifles. Because if it can do the job, it can do the job.
Let me get this straight. Humanity wants to go to war using ships that hadn’t seen battle for centuries yet contain technology centuries ahead of the offending aliens. Riiiiiight. 🧐
How was humanity being "oppressed" if they were supposedly centuries ahead in space tech? And why allow it to go on for so long before using the magical fleet?
Would aliens even experience human emotions due to their environment conditions. what if aliens experience emotions that human beings are fundamentally unable to.
Tepper covered this rather well in After Long Silence; the aliens there (there were two species) were primarily gigantic crystalline beings who really didn't comprehend human emotions--for obvious reasons.
Oustanding! Enjoyed the created moment listening the story. I filled in all my own assumptions as to what had happened prior to the story. Nice ending. Any more stories?
"Unknown and didn't even have time to get a visual". But they knew exactly what they look like and how they move. And, because they really really really wanted to destroy the patrol ship used plasma cannons, hyper sonic missiles, and directed energy weapons on it. They also didn't know who's fleet it was but they knew who's fleet it was. These are ridiculous mistakes that show up in every AI generated story. Mistakes a simple read through and some corrections would fix.
I'm still stuck on humans considered primitive by galactic standards. Humans built secret fleet centuries ago when they first began exploring. Secret fleet is centuries more advanced than anything the galactic council has ever seen. Wut?
@@GhostOfMilliesHatfrfr, if humans had that fleet in the first place they would have told the council to shove it quick fast and in a hurry when they tried to confine them to the Sol system
@@glasswhispererperhaps this was before the earth rulers bowed to wokeness and took a knee to all aliens in a bid for peace even though secretly they were technologically superior. 🤔
A few mistakes in a story and people say ITS AI ITS AI knowing full well human beings make the same mistakes as well. Need I remind you we made Dickbutt so I don't want to hear we don't make mistakes this bad bs.
I think this would be great as a first season to a tv show. Then if humanity were invited to be members of the galactic council, you would introduce another alien race that’s an actual threat. Council and humanity then work together to defeat the threat. Both humanity and aliens realise the value of working together. Wouldn’t even have to be an outside enemy, could simply be an existential crisis. Like a supermassive black hole that is moving towards the galaxy.

today part 2 will be released, it's all our own and it will answer the questions in the story :)
👌😎👍Very totally cool and very nicely greatly well told indeed Sir!
This was an awesome story!! When they were celebrating in the shops hangar, the description legit had me a little emotional lol. We need more of this story.
The full story is available on our channel :)
I'm proud of the writer ! Actually said lept instead of leaped.
And there is also the horse whisper. Hoarse
Leapt
Aliens have a collective hive mind. Humans don't, we fight with each other, we don't always agree on one thing, but we do agree on one thing, NEVER MESS WITH HUMANITY, WE WILL BITE BACK.
There’s no way to know if they’d have a hive mind but it’s very likely that that’s be the type of civilization that could actually achieve interstellar travel
Anyone else feel like we were stuffed on earth like it's our prison?
Very cool story. Would watch a movie with this plot!
Best new video I have watched in quite a while. Great work and keep them coming.
Definitely enjoyed this short story. I could see this animated as part of an episodic show of shorts kinda like Love, Death and Robots.
I don't understand how a Captain is making all of theses important decisions for Earth. Why does a Captain's palm open the door?
ego and arrogance?
The only one privy to a Myth. Under the radar. Important but not too much.
(Or simply commanded him to do it.)
Though he could be acting on his own accord. And the terran government simply shrugged.
@@mill2712remember the division, maybe terran command has something similar and this captain is a member of such group or institution. Being able to act without being slowed down by red tape BS politics would be a good thing to have especially when dealing with some annoying council.
@soundcloudpandapandawa2997
That's a possibility.
Powered by the Indomitable Human Spirit, that's what
I hope that's a joke otherwise that's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.
You see, a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.......
I'm 6ft4 and built like a damn TANK with a fury to match. I remain unrivalled. "Indomitable" is my middle name.
This has Sins of a solar empire feel to it.
Emperor: "Good deed must be rewarded."
"Samir, you are breaking the warship. We will not finish the battle." 😂
Great story mate. Do you actually have an ongoing series as these short stories are great
you can find it on our channel :) we are working for new stories :)
Amazing story!! I could listen to more of this. Thank you
Great story line. I like how you started in the middle of the story. A little wordy in areas but overall it’s pretty cool.
The new episode is online. All the details are there. thank you :)
Alien: shoots innocent child.
Humanity: Bankai... Zanka no tachi.... North.
The new episode is online. All the details are there.
Yama jiiiii
All the sudden my lips are cracking
My god, I’m commenting after listening to the first 4:18, and the amount of absolute bad assery is godamn monumental. These are REAL MEN.
My grandad served on HMS indomitable during ww2.
Regards and greetings :)
You're grandpa fought to enslave every country under globalism!!
Love the artwork at around 21:00, the alien drinking green liquid. I don’t care how augmented it is by whatever, there’s an artist somewhere who should know it’s a great job. 🤘🏻❤️🤘🏻
I loved it! Ruff around the edges but so much potential! With good narration and a tiniest bit of proofread you will go places
This seems to be an ongoing theme but these things need maintenance... plus technology always advances... mothballed ships will invariably be outdated after so many years.
of course technology is advancing :)
Ex: Russia is using weapons from WW2.
This has happened countless times throughout human history, it's realistic.
Riiiiiight. 🧐
a secret technology and these ships are equipped with it :)
in other words Emgee... AI Generated nonsense...
Apparently no one has read 40k
I guess someone never heard of mass effect...
Warhammer logic.
In Skyrim, an entire city will march on you for a chicken.
Such a beautiful story line. Worth every bit of my time. ❤
Greetings, we shared the full version of the story, if you wish, you can also look at it :)
Since I cannot read a book while working, this fits the bill. Nice.
you can find our other videos on our channel :)

Audio books ftw
How was humanity being "oppressed" if they were supposedly centuries ahead in space tech? And why allow it to go on for so long before using the magical fleet?
I would think humans were pacifist in this story but always focused on having tech to defeat enemies if they were pushed
Think about USA, or German or Russia, even north Korea has nukes.
They were not allowed to travel
This story makes zero logical sense from the start.
The same way the Harkonnens "opressed" the Fremen in Dune but were obliterated along with the Sardaukar when the time came.
88 This story was certainly one that involved all the elements of a signature Sci-Fi saga.
Did you like the story?
@@InterstellarInsights.0 yes I liked the story.
What's the deal with the "88" ?
@@stephenanderson7686 because I see it as a space theme.
@@InterstellarInsights.0 it looks a lot like heil hitler... The neo nazis use the number 88 to signify heil hitler in their tattoos.
There is no way that this situation was boiling for years (let alone centuries) before an event like this occured.
Very good story line. So, is there a part two in our future?
The edited version is online as Part 2 :)
Great story this would make a great series of books
part 2 will address all of the unknowns :)
88: This was a good story. I could see it being used as a storyline for a game.
Would aliens even experience human emotions due to their environment conditions.
what if aliens experience emotions that human beings are fundamentally unable to.
I'll think about it.
Tepper covered this rather well in After Long Silence; the aliens there (there were two species) were primarily gigantic crystalline beings who really didn't comprehend human emotions--for obvious reasons.
Good story! Really liked it.
Thank you
Exquisitely told stories, entertaining every moment!
What book series is this? It is really cool!
It's ours! New episode coming soon.
@@InterstellarInsights.0 that is so awesome! It was fun hearing it 😁.

what a great story, i was truly enjoying the story line and suddenly it ended. i would gladly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good listen
thanks you can check our other stories or the continuation of this story.
wait wait wait you cannot just start the story without explaining what a CHILD is doing in a galactic council chamber!
The new episode is online. All the details are there.
Oustanding! Enjoyed the created moment listening the story. I filled in all my own assumptions as to what had happened prior to the story. Nice ending. Any more stories?
you can access the stories on our channel 4 new stories every day :)
Now that's was a very enjoyable listening experience. 👏

"Unknown and didn't even have time to get a visual".
But they knew exactly what they look like and how they move. And, because they really really really wanted to destroy the patrol ship used plasma
cannons, hyper sonic missiles, and directed energy weapons on it.
Name?
Hello all, I must say a truly nice story. Kept me going to the end. Ty.
thank you. the video explaining the unknowns of the story will come today.
i liked both of your stories both the long version and the short on and they were both winners. keep up the good work
EPIC!!!! I really enjoyed this one!!!
Like a supermassive black hole that is moving towards the galaxy.
today there will be a story where unanswered questions are answered. part 2 :)
good story but i kept getting bothered by typos that made it feel like a machine was doing the writing and there were audio mistakes galore . the more i think about all the stories form this channel they....feel well the voice feels hollow and dead compared to when a real person reads.
GC: “What the Sigma? This is totally not skibidi. Frfr ong.”
a full version will be coming soon.
Ahhh! Time well spent! That was great. 🎉😊
Wow Sigma Fleet huh... Amazing AF
This could be made into a movie 😊
part 2 will address all of the unknowns :)
Humanity First! Humanity Forever!
Really enjoyed this story. Thank you . Well done
What a smack down! Excellent!
This isn't the first video that tries to represent humanity as an eldrich terror. What's up with that?
We are
We are an Eldritch terror to 99% of other life on earth.

Think about what the human race can imagine and make with the right materials...
Yeah, WE are horror.
It is an interesting concept TBH.
