the end of this episode links so perfectly to the end of last episode- with Saskia saying 'it's okay, you go on without me' both to Sherman (last episode) and the Breach team (this episode). I had to go back and check the scenes against each other. god that's good storytelling with the link up. I am in unimaginable pain.
Well, I knew Phineas, Lark and Weepe would eventually be in the same place at the same time, but I'd never guess it would be in the fractured, Mika-torn remains of the trust's main vault. But after everything that happened, it was only fitting.
Well. Here's the question: Was Saskia outside the party getting used to being "one body"? Or was she just focusing on the mission currently going on and eliminating distractions? I have to imagine she's alright, she and Tsila are the only truly "good" and clean people on this show. I have to wonder what's between her and Weepe. She certainly didn't think much of him other than being angry at his betrayal...but he seemed ready to risk everything to stop the men from killing her.
From what I've observed, I think Sasskia outside the party was trying to anchor herself in the moment, seeing clearly at that time that her body in the capital was moments from being blown to smithereens. In the same way there was the moment of "let's get this party started, shall we? Oh, oops, did I say that here, or there?". Sasskia has a wistful moment of sitting down, grasping the dire nature of the moment, isolates her Midst body to not ruin the party for people right away. I think she didn't know if her other body would die instantly, or what, if anything, would change. She abandons her nature of observing everything in periphery, and takes the time to soak in the Visage of everyone around her, and put an anchor in this moment, to remember where both of her were when she killed the trust. When she says "It's fine. You go-ahead without me." I don't think she was talking to Sherman at all. I think circumstances just made it make sense on both sides. In a way, I think Midst Sasskia probably thought she was about to die, too, and didn't want Tsila or Sherman to be there when it happened. I've been adoring every story, every succulent flavor, and every twist evoked by the narrators, and this is easily one of my favorite fictional episodic anything I've ever had the pleasure of following up to date. Can't wait to see what happens next!! 😁💜💛
I put Lark in the same category. Unfriendly, sure. But nobody has had her back, except maybe Tsila and Saskia, not for real, since the Trust murdered her mother.
I'm pretty sure when Sherman tries to get Saskia inside, she says "Its okay. you go on without me". I'm assuming he came out right before she became one self
The whiplash from last episode and this one is palpable and the last word from the episode will echo in my head for the next week! Thanks as always you wonderful narrators!!
As soon as they started explaining the plan, I KNEW it wasn't gonna work out. Number one rule of heists in fiction IS that if the plan is explained, it WILL go wrong. Also only saying "Boom" when the explosions went off ironically gave them so much more oomf. O_o
I imagine the narrators knew Imelda was at the door so they figured might as well explain it, although low key I think Milton Fleit Senior could have blown their entire plan solo just by being a badass old bank manager with a panic button.
I just binged the entire back log over the last 2 days and this is a hell of a cliffhanger. I was enthralled with the narration and my own mind’s eye picture show going on. The singular “Boom”… damn i gotta wait for the next episode? 😭😭😭
The way that this works as a culmination of so many character arcs at once is brilliant. Midst was always a fantastic piece of art, but i dont think ive been this hyped for the culmination of a story in years 😊🥰😃
This episode was such a culmination of everything!!!! It's crazy!!!! This was incredible!!!! Ugh, this episode felt like it was 2 hours long but also not nearly long enough!!
So many twists and turns on this entire episode. But finally getting a chance to see that our number one a-hole Gets the true amount of fear that we’ve been waiting for. I hope next week is the conclusion episode of everything that comes into fruition.
At first I was hoping the beads contained fold, not explosives, but that would have been so much worse the way this played out. Then again, Weepe is right there...
I kinda expect Saskia would have to sacrifice one of her bodies since she got the second one. If there is a rifle on the wall it should fire sooner or later, it's the rule of a genre.
Oh that's messed up. [spoilers] Saskia is literally in two places at once, but she isn't two people. Both of her are Saskia. She experiences both of herselves. In theory, an explosion would be a quick and nearly painless death as the damage overwhelms your short-lived nervous system's ability to process the damage, but what if there was a second you elsewhere processing the same feelings? Best case scenario, one Saskia dies too quickly to send any negative feedback to the other, sort of like a radio going silent. Worst case scenario, the other Saskia gets all of the pain without any of the damage and psychically experiences the pain of a fiery explosive death. Doubling down since we don't know the full extent of the connection between the two Saskias (Fold and Unlight, this stuff is basically magic for something that isn't technically magic, unless it IS magic), it's theoretically possible that the living Saskia would even feel the experiences of the dead Saskia, meaning that even after the explosion she'd still feel any burning sensations or damage to the nerves of her counterpart. I can't imagine something like that being shrugged off, it'd likely kill her as well, if not just leaving her comatose. Anyway, the narrators aren't monsters. Let's assume until told otherwise that the explosion results in the radio silence timeline.
The art of the Central Vault looks great! I'm sure nothing bad will happen to it. Oh no, Saskia said the thing, now I'm worried. I really appreciate seeing a follow up to Loxlee approaching Phineas at the gala and offering valor! It was such a fascinating moment that only got more so with time. Oh no why did the narrators explain the plan!? Ahhh... guess they knew who was at the bottom of the elevator, might as well explain the plan then. Argh this episode!!!!
My heart stopped so many times during this episode. What a thrilling, perfectly anxiety inducing thrill ride. I'm so glad I'm able to binge the rest of the season because I can't imagine waiting for what comes next...much as it scares me...
Phenomenal Bravo 👏👏👏👏 I found this series a a few days ago... Was gripped into it from first episode season 1 "listening through at every spare opportunity!" Caught up Sunday ...Been waiting for release of this episode today. Never fails , each episode is fantastic , cannot wait for next one 🫶🤩

I am so lucky I work from home, hearing this episode while working and shouting to myself not good in public lmao! I kept shouting "shit! Shit!shit!" Lol
Simple, easy, death-free plan. Our Narrators are as unreliable as ever. Amazing episode BTW, this is some of the best storytelling i've ever witnessed. Well done you guys and girl❤. Aaaaaand: "Boom"
Loved the drama! Sorry if I missed anything, but why did the plan hinge on Milton Flight's acquiescence to introduce the beads into the system? That seems like a real thorn in this plan even if it had gone exactly as intended.
please let Saskia be ok please let Saskia be ok please let Saskia be ok (what a SPECTACULAR episode!!! What a story!!! There's not a single episode that's even mediocre, but it also just keeps getting better!!! WOW)
It sure looks like that. I remember in the episode of the whole moth psychodelic dream, Phineas's face light up and he smiled while thinking about Spahr... now it can also be just deeply admiration and brotherly love perhaps... but it sure is coded like semi-romantic
@@captainker Might be, depending on the age difference; it may be more of a "older brother" type of admiration, since they dont look too far apart in age. But admiration and romantic feelings can be mixed up by someone who's been really sheltered like Phineas. Sparh definetly doesn't look at him in any romantic way, he does feels responsable for him.
@@captainker I don’t know, that “light bending gravity can’t-take-my-eyes-off-of-you” description of what Spahr looks like to Phineas was quite intense and doesn’t sound fitting for a father figure relationship to me.

Not sure if it’s because I just read Order of the Phoenix again, but this gives me a lot of Umbridge and Ministry of Magic vibes! Coincidentally (but maybe not), Imelda is the name of Umbridges actress!
SPOILERS 30:24 And of course it is the Caenum that blows first. Of course it is. All the miniscule, little sins that the Trust has turned to coin for the barter, a knife aimed at the brain of the system.
Arrrgh! Light! Fortunately, only have to wait a couple more days to find out what happened to Weepe & Imelda. I really hope they got blown to bits but I also think that Weepe would somehow survive.
"a stunning blonde dreamy-eyed assistant", why did I think this was Phineas? 😂
Rofl. It checks out, outside of context. Now i want to see Sasskia as a badass armoured soldier-hero.
That's what I thought at first, too.
Same 😂
You aren’t alone haha
Me too!

Also at the begining... we she say let the party started at both place by accident.
i am catching up just yet but the way that last episode ended just broke me knowing the ¨double play¨ of saskia
The brilliance of the narrators to quietly say "boom" was just amazing.
Well, I knew Phineas, Lark and Weepe would eventually be in the same place at the same time, but I'd never guess it would be in the fractured, Mika-torn remains of the trust's main vault. But after everything that happened, it was only fitting.
Just like a game of Jod, it all comes together in the end.
As we all know, obviously
It wouldn't be a heist story without something going wrong in spectacular, explosive style.
Utterly Gobsmacked. Someone call 911. Lifeline, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up.
I would, but i am likewise stuck on the floor, sorry.
Ive never been more enraptured by 40 minutes in my life. Bravo, i cant wait for the next episode

Ohh I love how the ending aligns perfectly with last episode's.
...And am now terrified of what's gonna happen to the Midst half of Saskia.
Between last weeks episode of campaign 3, and this weeks episode of midst, it is a good time to be a fan of this youtube page.

Welcome to the Fold, man. I’d recommend the tumblr, too.
I haven’t been on tumblr in years! Might have to
The slowed theme coming in as the Mexican standoff of our 3 protagonists finally meeting together in the same place sent chills down my spine
Almost managed to.... Breach... their security without a hitch.
Edit: well... hopefully Midst Saskia survives what just happened to Highest Saskia.
I think last weeks ending scene was her recalling her death, over and over. Brutal
The way that this works as a culmination of so many character arcs at once is brilliant. Midst was always a fantastic piece of art, but i dont think ive been this hyped for the culmination of a story in years 😊🥰😃
In which the party, undeniably and unequivocally, gets started
The week wait couldn’t be anymore painful. This is my favorite episode yet 。゚(゚´ω`゚)゚。❤
This episode was such a culmination of everything!!!! It's crazy!!!! This was incredible!!!! Ugh, this episode felt like it was 2 hours long but also not nearly long enough!!
What does it say that, not 30 seconds after Imelda revealed herself, that I was screaming "Jump her! Gank her now before she ruins everything!"?
This was quite the explosive climax of the plot threads connecting and characters meeting each other finally.
i don't know what it is about Midst, but you had me yelling at the end!!!
oh, my god. This has to be the best episode in the series so far. What everything has been building up to for the entire series.
That stark, abrupt noise for when Lark and Phineas grab at Imelda was 🤌

iirc the valor beads are made of micah so it would have gone bad in the process of making the beads
We’re gonna miss ya, double Saskia 😔
I really hate the Trust but damn if they don't have a killer sense of architecture and design.
Albert Speer was a pretty good architect, too…
Phineas Thatch... is falling...
It'll be fun they said. We're singing folk songs, they said.
I kinda expect Saskia would have to sacrifice one of her bodies since she got the second one. If there is a rifle on the wall it should fire sooner or later, it's the rule of a genre.
Boom?!? What an ending!!! I'll be on the edge of my seat until the next episode
These episodes are so good. Thank you again for sharing your art.
This is the episode to listen to with good headphones. My god it was awesome.
My rule is: the first time I hear an episode, it’s *always* with headphones. After that, anything goes.
