I love the trd crawz. I have a video coming up with me catching fish with on a ned head. But I found a small pond, very clear. Our waters here in mid south and south Ga are barely 2-1/2 foot visibility. I don’t fish the Ned enough to know if they will hit it in stained water or tannic waters. But I’ll be using it more this new year. I love zman. Wish they would make a 7”and a 10” curly tail worm.
I fish the ned rig for smallmouth in my local river with a 1/15 ewg jighead. The river has a very strong current. The way i fish it the rig never hits the bottom. I mostly wade but ill just cast into high percentage areas let it drift. I catch tons of smallmouth with this presentation.
EXACTLY what I was going to say! Glad you warned folks NOT to mix Plastisol (common plastic baits) with the Z-Man Elaztec baits -- I've HAD the gooey mess! Luckily only a few baits were involved. I heard on another video that the Buzbe boxes CAN handle the Z-Man baits. Haven't tried it yet. I also just keep them in the bags (which they recommend). Good to hear I can stuff those bags with various colors! Keep up the great work, Mr. Bass! Roger, The Smiling BassHole
But is not the same thing as a sinko have to mucho salt and don't float. TRD is not just a worm cut. It has not much salt in them to float right. The only one to use and work right how you want it too. If the worm has no salt it will float great better than salty worms.
For somebody that suppose to be showing how to fish a Ned rig and then can't even put the bait on the hook correctly, doesn't give me much confidence that they have a clue what they are talking about!!!!! LOL
I fish the zman lures I love the straight of the zman lures I have all of them the Ned rig lures I use at the lakes rivers ponds here New Mexico las cruces but in 4 weekends I fish with family and friends we did the let it drop to the bottom and we lost 34 zman lures in weeds and rocks we did not catch not one fish zman lures cost a lot just to loss so we might go back to live worms tony zuniga 3665balboa ct las cruces 88012 we fish from the banks we do not have a boat
I live in New Mexico and if the lake has big rocks like couchati lake you will lose a lot of rigs. I' go with the Yum brand is cheeper stuff and works great for me and my family. And use a small amount of lead weight on the head. Even in Tingley Beach in Albuquerque has big rocks I've lost a lot of stuff in that lake. But I say buy cheep because your just going to lose it in the blue.
Love the Ned rig. Thanks for the extra info Mr. Bass!!
No problem 👍
