You have to remember some of these people have aged and mellowed. I grew up on 60 and 70s music, they were all drug addicts but today, they're clean grandpas playing with the kids and grandkids. Most people do mellow out as they age, if they live through their youth!
A big example of this was James Hetfield recently doing a song online during the pandemic. His hair great and his little reading glasses on his nose! It was so cute! Lol
Sebastian Bach was struck first by a bottle thrown by a heckler in the crowd, he threw the bottle back but missed the heckler and struck the woman accidentally. Doesn't excuse his negligence but explains the incident better.
@Tearlach Murray Either that or society should at least pretend to try and want to change the accepted abuse that goes on in prisons since most will join the outside world again at some point.
The band effectively broke up and had been having issues for a long time beforehand. The rest of the band started a new band, Wovenwar, and released two albums while Tim was in prison. If I recall correctly, the drummer, Jordan, was a co-founder and gave up his rights as co-founder when Tim was in prison. The fact that they all reunited in 2018 is astonishing.
Yeah it took a lot for them to come round. That band is actually a really good example of being a Christian. Making mistakes, finding redemption and forgiveness and the strength to forgive... it’s actually a real good true story.
Boy George is such a wonderful person! He has become sober for years and has bounced back! I met him on tour not that long ago and he was so polite and witty!
We all used too eat breakfast at “ Harry’s cafe “ in Greek street after clubbing all night , Boy George , Duran Duran , Spandau , all the early eighties bands used too eat there , everyone was cool and happening there , apart from Sting who was a bit up his own bum .😊 anybody remember Wednesday nights at “ Le Beat Route “ drinks 25 pence each all night !
@@MrserMrser of course not but George was on drugs at that time. Of course the video didnt mention it. George is sober now and should stay away from drugs!

It's a shame all 9 of those bullets missed, if that's what he's doing with his time on Earth. And, fucking forget about Kayne West, already!
I met Sebastian Bach from Skid Row when I was 12, and he was a total sweetheart. Gave me a hug and autographs, and couldn't have been any nicer. 23 years later, the guy I was dating worked in the music industry and had worked with Bach on tour for a couple of years. All those years later, and Bach was still one of the sweetest musicians I've ever met (and I've met some big names, like Metallica, Dave Matthews, Tori Amos, Bret Michaels, George Clinton, etc).
My sister and my niece met boy George when they were with Cyndi lauper and he was just great with them, very friendly and spoke with them for a long time.
A New Horizon most Canadian people are nice, the narrator of this video obviously a douche bag who brings shit up from their graveyard pasts and throws it back in their face!
I met him a few years ago. He is a nice enough guy just out to have fun. Too bad some of the people he surrounds himself with are dicks... and a bit slow. One of them almost got us all in trouble. Long story short... if you are in a small town and have cool hair and clothes cause you are a rock musician going to a show, it makes NO difference to the crowd you are not part of the band that is booked who is in the same room and just pissed off the local town overly friendly guy. You get them all the time he came up to me first and was all like "welcome to my town" then once he found out I was not playing that night he zeroed in on their table at the local restaurant (which I had no clue they would be at until I sat down). Lots of bikers, ink etc. I was concerned for ALL our safety upon exiting and even wondering if it would be safe to order food. After several minutes of observing the locals reactions to the incident (one being a very tattooed middle aged biker couple who left about 5 min apart after staring at their table quite awhile)... I politely made an attempt to bring it to their attention that things may go south and we should all leave as a group as numbers are safer plus I was familiar with the area etc and the same entourage member began talking shit to me also. Baz, he was ok but he really needs to find smarter, better friends! Fortunately I was not the only one concerned because the venue staff showed up at the restaurant and escorted them back because they thought it was a good idea. No escort for me and my hot wife though :( As always, I was alright. LOL
I met Bach a couple times and got to hang with him for a while one of those times. One of the absolute coolest most down to earth people I've ever met.
Somebody said that as a joke once, and all the degenerates picked up and it's like echo chamber now. He is a complete moron, and possibly biggest poser in history of a genre that is known for producing posers.
no there's not; you are a clown! Read the Bible, it tells you who is going to hell. Perhaps there should be a special Hell for people who mock other people for anything at all. maybe we should just be nice to people, and speak good of them in general, instead of playing favorites? Hmmmmm?
I have no use for people like that. Life's too short to waste my time and thoughts on them. I don't hate them nor do I like them. What they do doesn't effect me. It's horrible what they did but I can't change it. But there's always karma.
Back in the 80's my sister's friend worked in Guest Relations at the Rosemont - a big concert venue outside of Chicago. Her job was to keep the artists happy - making sure food, beverages, dressing rooms, etc. was all to the artist's liking and to contract specs. She met so many famous people; it was cool to listen to her tell the backstage happenings. She said that by far the coolest artist she met was David Bowie. She also said the biggest A$$whole was.... Barry Manilow!!! She said at one point he literally said something like, "Don't even look at me! Do you even know who you are talking to!!!" what a diva.
I'm getting tired of these list sites bagging on the ONE really bad incident with Boy George. I'm not excusing his behavior, what he did was bad, BUT... he did his time for it, apologized, and turned his life around. Everyone deserves a second chance, right??? Personally, I'd give just about anything to meet Boy George. I've loved him and his music since the 80's.
Oddly enough, I met Kanye West when I was a flight attendant a few years back...He was on two of my flights, one domestic and one international heading to Rome. I have to say, he was actually very chill and yes reserved, but polite. I was surprised, but thinking back you have to remember that a lot of these people's on stage persona ( I don't know about anyone else on this list ) is not at all the same in real life.
"this musician didn't take out the trash this one time when his mother asked him to during his childhood. definitely don't want to run into him on the streets."
It's a tossup as to whether one is worse than the other. Hitting someone with chains while they are defenseless shows a lot more intent than wrapping a car around a tree, or whatever. On the other hand, death. And then Vince Neil has a long history, so maybe that. I'm back and forth on this, but the dead guy's family surely isn't.
I would love to meet Boy George! I don't care what anyone says! He has always been one of my favorite people. A true artist, through and through. Peace.
Darin Campbell my best mate at school had an older brother who was a radio DJ on the same station as Boy George. Apparently he was a first class helmet while he worked there. I don’t know if everyone thought that way about him or if he and my mates bro had a personal issue with each other.
Why kill him so fast and easy? I prefer giving him a slow agonizing death, like burning him slowly with a hot metal bar, slowly skin him and pour salt and lemon juice into open wounds, or put some honey and sugar on him and tie him down next to a Dorylus ant nest.
I've met Tim Lambesis on multiple occasions, the guitarist Nick of As I Lay Dying is a family friend of mine and I can assure you a couple things. First, the band was absolutely devastated by what happened and every single one of them sided with Tim's wife and some even testified against him in court if I remember correctly. I know Nick was devastated for years after. The band only got back together after literally years of Tim proving that he'd changed and going to extreme lengths to redeem himself. Believe me, being a step and a half removed from the situation it was super difficult for any of the band members or their families to forgive him, but after years of reconciliation from Tim they finally did. Also, I haven't seen Tim or Nick in years, but I can assure you, Nick is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, so bringing him into this in a shady way is crappy, and even though Tim did one of the most horrible things ever, that doesn't mean that we shouldn't forgive him if those whose lives were ruined by the situation chose to forgive him. (And plus, besides being crazy then, he really was a super nice dude.)
I've met Nick and know Tim pretty well. This is accurate. Tim fucked up, got caught, received a fair trial, was sentenced, and served his debt to society. I've forgiven him along with many others. Before all this unpleasantness, Tim helped me out quite a bit.
what about his poor wife how do you think it scarred her. by the grace of God he got an undercover cop instead of a real hitman. he was going to have her killed for wanting a divorce. only served a few months. ya he's a nice guy alright.
Strangely enough, I met Boy George, during a phase in the late 90's when he had a shaven head and wore a khaftan. I was getting an autograph for a friend who was unable to be at the gig, which was at a local disco club. Apart from the way he dressed, he seemed perfectly normal and friendly, it was like having a chat with a hairdresser. Who could have known what would happen a few years later...
I met Tim Lambesis in November. One of the absolute most down to earth people I have ever met. He turned his life around after it all happened. He gave me words of encouragement, hope, and knowledge on life. Im really thankful I got to meet him and his words still continue to help me with my mental health
As I Lay Dying never supported Tim while he was on trial and serving his sentence. The rest of the band formed Wovenwar and did 2 albums. When Tim was released he waiting until he was off parole before reaching out to his band mates and the rest is history. The story is on their RUclips channel.
@@mikep5330 stryper was basically banned from metal stations for being Christian. Televenagalists hated them too. Skillet is rarely on radio, but hey 3 billion spotify views, 12 million units sold. Me too in a way. I was on holiday in Sydney and went to small cafe for a time out. George was there. He was doing a show at Mardi Gras. I said hi and he was very relaxed and chilled. We had quite a long chat about travel (I am from the pacific), different forms of spirituality and minority rights. I liked him
Late 90's, Clapton used to be a frequent guest at a very nice and peaceful hotel in Big Sur, CA. One night, I was in the backoffice space and heard a VERY RUDE guest yelling and cursing at sweet Simona, the clerk that was on duty. So I poke my head out to see if I could lend a hand. And there was good ole Eric, showing up without a reservation, only to find a full hotel and not accepting that they didn't have a room for him... It was a very sad show to say the least.
@@chocomanger6873 Is that an excuse or a reason? The way you tell the difference is by what they do after they say it. If they change it was a reason. If it was merely an excuse, they won't change at all.
Nathan McClellan or that when people are on drugs they most likely don’t know what they doing and that’s why it’s a good excuse, because it makes sense especially for a rock star
That incident with Sebastian Bach with his band at a Bar, clearly he was already intoxicated. In Ontario, only establishments with BYOW (Bring Your Own Wine) Program will allow their patrons/ guests to take their bottle of Distilled Spirits after being re-corked by a Bartender and only if the guest is not intoxicated. The laws regarding the selling or serving of Alcohol in Ontario are made and regulated by the AGCO/ Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. If Sebastian Bach was allowed to take his wine out of the establishment, the Bar can lose their Liquor Sales Licence and the Bartender or Food Server can be fined or imprisoned if Sebastian took the wine, drove home and was involved in a car accident. People who work on Front of House (Bartenders, Food Servers and Managers) must uphold DUTY OF CARE towards their guests. Meaning, they cannot serve guests to INTOXICATION.
Most folks brought on themselves. It's like feeling sorry for someone that fights bulls for a living the. Dies by being gorged by a bull. Most not all but most get what's coming to them by the choices they make.
Met and hung out with Sebastian Bach in roughly 2014. Saw his temper when the venue screwed things up. He has a set list of music that plays before the show, so that he and the band can accurately track how long before they're due on stage. The venue was repeatedly reminded to play the tracks in order, but continued shuffling the playlist. He was pissed! As a performer myself, I can understand the frustration. After the show, I talked with him about it. He was so apologetic. He felt awful that a fan had to see him that upset. I explained my position as a musician, myself, and we laughed it off. Truly one of the kindest, most genuine rock stars and people I've ever met. You wanna talk rock stars to avoid..... Lynyrd Skynyrd (those guys are dicks, truly), Joe Bonamassa (unless you want to hear him tell you how great he is), George Thorogood is iffy.... I've met him 5 times, and 3 of them, he was super cool, we talked for a long time, the other 2.... Very full of himself, and very... "Make me feel good or I'll have you thrown out of the show" type attitude
Andrew Smith, I know this is off the 'rockstar' list, but I heard (from a roadie) that Dwight Yokum was a prick as well. He would tell the openers that they were only allowed to perform in a small corner of the stage, because the whole stage was his.
Clapton has admitted in a detailed interview on 60 Minutes where he admitted to living in a drug addled stupor for several decades, and has apologised for his behaviour. You would imagine BB King and other great players would not have a bar of him if he still behaved that way.

Love him ♥ Edit 2020: I met him again in June 2019 at his DJ gig in Sydney (I flew in from Brisbane), I thanked him for messaging me on Twitter asking if I was ok while I was in hospital earlier that year. He also sang "she's always wearing green" lol! Also I met Billy Idol and Steve Stevens in January this year (my last concert too before all the covshit hit), they both signed my Mony Mony and Dirty Diana 45's and while they were signing, the security guards were asking me to hurry up even though I was the last one at the meet and greet, I got nervous and kept apologising, Billy put his hand on my shoulder and said "it's alright love" and I immediately felt at ease and thanked him and Steve for signing my records, they were both really sweet and down to earth! Also the reason why people have shit meetings with celebs sometimes is because they're human like us and they also have shit days themselves and don't want anyone to bother them... or the rare case of the celeb just being a shitty person in general lol! Anyways I'm glad 2020 is almost over and I hope concerts can resume back to normal by next year :)

The band effectively broke up and had been having issues for a long time beforehand. The rest of the band started a new band, Wovenwar, and released two albums while Tim was in prison. LOL

Met and hung out with Sebastian Bach in roughly 2014. Saw his temper when the venue screwed things up. @@getmypastamasta8670 Yes, the whole band was at a Tower Record store opening in Korea, signing autographs etc..when me and my buddy walked up and said "hey guys" in English, they looked up and yelled " Americans"! and started shaking our hands and everything. there were tons of Koreans there, you'd of thought they were the Beetles! We hung around outside till the event was over, and the store had locked the doors for a bit. Suddenly some lady came to the door and pointed at us and let us inside and said "the band wants to see you guys" we walked up some stairs and they were just sitting there, offered us a beer and we just talked for a while. Then they had to leave, and asked us to help, they went to one door to distract the Koreans, then a couple limos pulled up out front, and we ushered them into the cars and helped keep the Koreans from mobbing them. it was just awesome..always think of that day when i hear their songs and smile.
Akjeff64 when was this?!
@@getmypastamasta8670 this was in 1995, Korea was a one year tour, so spent all of 95 there, not sure of the month tho..

For some reason $1000 sounds low. I have no basis to compare that to, but that sounds like he shopped at the discount bin at Creep-O-Depot.

Kanye West is someone who, when brains and talent were being handed out, decided to forgo the talent for some really cool jewlery to wear and show his ultra coolness!
you're ignorant...
He also decided to forego the brains, for an extra helping of narcissism.
Meanwhile your favorite artist doesn't have the consistency of Kanye's discography.

Everyone at one time or another has said something or done something that other people would consider reprehensible, it doesn't mean they're assholes.
However, there are a small subset of human beings that truly are assholes, 24-7-365. Some of these people are entertainers, some are managers and one is my manager.
