HEAVY FELT... ok that makes more sense. I've been using crafting felt (light 15 cent stuff from hobby lobby), although the patches come out fine, was always wondering why others patches came out a bit more heavy duty feeling. alright, i'll give that stuff a try IF I can find it.. because hobby lobby don't carry it :P
You're a good teacher. There is a patch that I really wanna do but my satin stitch needs help.
same ngl
I'm going to try and make ichika from pjsk with the method tysm!
Omg, all this by hand, amazing.
Great instructions! And your choice in colors on your projects!!! *chefs kiss*
Thanks so much! 😊
This was such a well done instructional video! I really like how to the point you are but also share useful advice at every step.
Please put out more patch embroidery videos!
These patches are amazing and your tutorial here is really helpful. I'm jumping in!
Hard felt looks really fun for embroidery, I'll have to try it!
This was a great video! Thank you for sharing your techniques
I am going to try using some thick felt for my next patch! The whip stitch always takes sooo much time.
So clean 😮💨😮💨 extremely well done!
This was an amazing tutorial! Thank you so much
Glad it was helpful!
I never thought to use felt for making patches, what an awesome idea! One thing I would like to ask, how thick is the felt you’re using in this video?
I'm not sure of the exact thickness, but I used Kunin's premium felt from Joann Fabrics which is labeled "heavy weight"
Can you make another video for beginners I’m sorry 😢 love your content sis!!!!!
Thank you so much! I'm working on a few tutorials now and will hopefully be posting them in the next month or so
Awesome work!!!
Ughhh my new favorite channel. I’ve been wondering if it’s okay to use mod lodge on the back of work!
Thank you so much! I've been using mod podge on the back of embroideries for years and have never had any issues
awesome. HOW long did it take you?
Fantastic work!
Thank you so much!
Can you please add link of where to get the thick felt
Silly question, how thick is the felt you use?
I've just finished my first patch using linen, but had some issues with the edging pulling the weave apart so want to give felt a go for my next project 😅
I'm not sure of the exact thickness but the kind I use is normally sold as premium or heavy duty felt and it generally holds up really well to heavy stitching
@@oyechulo thanks 😊 Think I've managed to find some, going to give it a go and see how it turns out 😁
Awesome work. Thanks for making this tutorial
omg, you are talented❤
Love it - thanks for posting!
did you use a back stitch when creating the black outline around the character? also, great tutorial!!! it really helped me out :)
I did! I almost always use a back stitch when outlining
How many strands do you use when filling spaces?
I almost always use 2 strands when filling. Sometimes I will use 1 if the details are smaller.
could you put the felt on an embroidery hoop. Thanks
Absolutely! Thicker felt is a bit harder to get into the hoop, but it's definitely doable
How do I find that type of felt?🙂
I usually buy mine from Joann Fabrics or Michaels
Love and I mean love this patches. Are you hirable!? I really want this for my daughter and a few other hunter x hunter characters. Please let me know how I can contact you if so.
Thank you so much! My commissions are currently closed while I finish up a big project, but I'm hoping to open them back up again in late Spring. I generally take orders through IG dms (@oyecrafts) but will most likely also add a commission option to my Etsy store soon.
Hunter X Hunter is awesome.
Agreed!
