    If you use some transfer paper, you can trace what you drew or printed, put it under the hoop, and then rip it off the back when you're done stitching, it won't affect the patch. Also if you want an iron on patch, you can get heat adhesive:)

      hey there, first of all thanks for watching. Glad you've enjoyed the video :)
      I am applying glue on the edges to stop than from fraying. Without glue your edges could dissolve whilst stitching the outline. You don't have to apply glue, but from my experience it helps a lot :)

    love this video! how many thread counts does your fabric have though? there are many types and i don't know how many counts is suitable for making patches.

      thank you :) i've used some fabric scraps i had lying around. it was a kind of none woven fabric you would usually use as lining. so i don't know, sorry. it should work with most fabrics anyway. but just try some different ones and see which one works best :)

    Hey, instead of doing this on some fabric, cutting out and sewing onto some cloth, can I just sew it directly where I want it to be? Will it look any worse?

      hey, sure you can do that as well. it won't look any worse. just make sure the fabric you're embroidering is thick enough ;)

    Ah, this video was uploaded two years ago, but perhaps someone will reply. Do I have to use fabric glue? I don't have any, and I can't just go and buy it at the moment.

      CyanicAndroid If it’s something that’s going in the washing machine, then yes. If it’s not fabric glue, it will dissolve in the washer. Hope it helps x

      Andrew Saito well you'll need something to tighten your fabric and hold it in place. if you can find something else that can do that sure, but if advise you to use a hoop :)

    What size embroidery hoop did you use?

      i think mine was about 20cm in diameter. it's the only one i have, but you can use smaller ones as well depending on the size of your patch :)
