This is awesome, I wrote something similar last night about what you are referring Robert. I’m writing a book and I will love to see if you want to see it. Thank you
Robert needs to be protected at all costs!!! He understands the human condition like no one else. His books should be required reading...I enjoyed all of this conversation❤
Eckhart Tolle likes to use the word spaciousness instead of emptiness. I really love this idea because it creates a different picture. Emptiness is more associated with something missing or a void that should be filled. Spaciousness indicates that there is something to explore.
After reading the human laws, 48 laws of power & the art of seduction. I have learned that in order to spot signs of any kind of negativity or toxicity in others, you need to first recognize everything about how humans think, interact, feel etc and the start to learning these things is by recognizing your own self. Self awareness is key to understanding human nature and to understand others. Thanks Robert Greene, I have learned so much about myself from your books, podcasts and conferences. My favorite author ✨
I hear you, dealing with toxic people can really take a toll on your well-being. It's important to set boundaries and surround yourself with positive influences. Remember, you deserve to be around people who lift you up and make you feel valued.
I feel that this is a very idealistic view. People need to engage with all sorts of people and situations to grow in character and develop maturity through life experiences. The word “toxic” is thrown around a lot these days. I personally find love and growth in experiences of all types even negative people teach me things and I value that.
@@missyflutter5562 I agree that it is a life lesson but it is often hard for individuals to come out of the “toxic” influence which is unhealthy for them. Some people don’t even come out of it.

I felt so less alone when he said we ALL have negativity, like I just thought I was maybe broken because I feel like I focus on negative things that I can’t control that have happened in the world or things that could happen. And I’m in an endless loop of realizing I need to stop doing this to myself and so I am a very quiet person with this stuff so I don’t drag others down with me. I enjoy my alone time a lot as well! It’s probably selfish so I can stew over things that bother me. I see how maybe I’m robbing myself of some joy. I have also felt like anytime I’ve been openly happy or wanted to express joy I have found it is not a welcomed energy or someone will say something and I would allow it to affect me because I used to hold others words/opinions in such high regard, but really they’re just full of their own negativity and it was spilling over…this was done by others when I was much younger and didn’t have much control over who I had surrounding me. This definitely led to me shutting down and avoiding larger groups, I definitely prefer and feel the value of one on one time with people. It feels healthier and balanced and able to leave people and myself hopefully happier. Work in progress.

As a kid, I always hated my narcissistic father because of the constant abuse and death of my mother. I also hated myself and, with my lack of awareness, attributed some of his narcissm to the books I'd see him read, such as the 48 Laws of Power. I'm 22 now and own all of Robert Greene's books as well as have searched the internet for the past two years for every possible interview with him. Of course, there's many others who I've read and watched, but no one has had as much of a positive impact on my life than Robert Greene. Special thanks to Robert Greene and Jay Shetty for their amazing words, voices, and presence. Thank you both for sharing this beautiful piece of content! Blessed to be here.
Thanks to these two gentlemen for sharing with us. It’s crazy that nobody talks about how they are trying to censor books like Health and Beauty Mastery for exposing the industry lies.
What an amazing human is Robert Greene! I enjoy every word, every integration between you both. This was beautiful. I wish I could talk to people like Jay & Robert with this sense of substance. Bless your hearts. Thank you Jay for inviting Robert.
I love when you have Robert Greene on! Both of you have been so influential in my spiritual journey to finding myself. Can’t wait for you to have him on again! Thank you Jay!
Can't believe that last bit made me cry a little. Learning to forgive myself for not being perfect really resonated with me. I'm so grateful I found this Author and his amazing brain, thoughts and authenticity. 🥺
Love Mr. Green’s genuine nature. Love how he said good and bad things will always happen and it’s not about us - don’t take it personally. And thanks for the book recommendations. Thank you ❤
Thank you Mr. Greene for your presence, authenticity, love, and honesty are honey to my soul… thank you for coming into my life at the perfect time! May God bless you beyond measure! 🙏❤️👏🏽🥰
I can admit based on his list I have a lot of room to develop my character. I humbly admit to being defensive often! But currently starting therapy. I hope anyone reading this finds peace & accepts the work that needs to be done on themselves to live a better life.
2 Giants in authentic human life! Jay, all your conversations and interviews are magnificent! This, with Robert Greene is stellar!! Raw human truth! Shame on our school systems n societies for promoting our modern generic culture. I want to read ALL of the books mentioned, including Nietzsche‘s biography ! Thank you both @robertgreeneofficial for your love n encouragement for authenticity of the individual 🙏🏼 these thoughts are liberating and spark a childlike curiosity for which I need not be ashamed 🙏🏼💕 Love & Light ☀️✨
If it's not simple to explain, you do not fully understand it. The books, concepts, while frustrating during the process, will become complete when they become simple to the author. I. think this is what I heard. Thank you gentlemen. I have found your discussion highly relatable, validating, and motivating.
I have listened to this at least twice. So much here resonates with my soul. There’s a long list but this conversation definitely reminds me that what is most personal is most universal. Loved the open vulnerability and humility. A real soul soother this one.
My heart is breaking hearing robert saying about how his work is what fills him up. I know exactly what he means, it saved us... it fills up that hole. I'm so greatful for this podcast
This is such an amazing episode, I really hope everyone takes something and has a question they've been asking themselves answered. I've also wanted to be a writer since a young age, talked myself out if it and finally wrote and published my first poetry book at the age of 31!!! Take the leap guys!
This is what I missed from Jay’s podcast. What an incredible episode. It has been all some kind of marketing recently. I love this. Keep them coming Jay!
I've always wondered about the man behind the books, and it turns out Robert Greene is so lovely, so curious and fascinating, and so real in his vulnerability. This is such a lovely interview.
So many things spoke to me during this episode. To mention just one "Music captures the spirit of a time." from Robert Greene. I love that! Thank you both for a wonderful conversation!
Glad you have Robert Greene back on the podcast & have touched on something too personal to me about the circles I have in my life about negativity & the negative people to have around! I connect deeply with negative people in family! Thanks for inspiring my progression to doing better Jay! Keep up the consistency for the rest of this year 😊
omg! I love Robert Greene, just a few days ago I could finally complete his books collection. Great work. He gave me back my love for reading and I'll be forever greatful for that.
Wow, how humble and vulnerable Robert is, I was surprised by what he said at the end about being very hard on himself. thank you jay for this interview 💫😊
Thank you for having Greene on. I’m in Idaho and have read all of Greene’s books but I constantly reread The Laws of Human Nature. There is always something I missed and I find it so useful in my life. This book gives me comfort and inspiration. Very excited to read your new book
Thank you for sharing your honesty, creativity and vulnerability, Mr. Robert Greene! The "learning to forgive myself more" thought of yours resonates me a lot. Today, I just learned the idea of "Love Heals and Self-acceptance Mantras". ❤
You guys were talking about meaning and purpose. I came up with a saying years ago, as a teenager. It goes like this: The meaning of life is whatever meaning you give it. The purpose of life is to enjoy it. The secret to life is don't take it so seriously. Knowing this is worthless. Understanding this is useless. Living it is priceless. I think that might resonate with what you are both talking about. Edit: I'm definitely going to check out Robert's books, (I already have yours, Jay) and I'm curious to check out the reconstructed ancient Greek music. If I ever get the chance I'd also love to visit Bhutan. Sounds amazing. No billboards, magazines, bus stos ads or any of that. Sign me up!
A lovely and thoughtful conversation. Robert is one of a handful of notable people I'd love to meet one day. Listening to him makes me wish he did all the narration for his audiobooks. His measured and deliberate way of speaking really makes you lean in to what he's saying.
The daily laws | 13th Oct 2021 one of the best books one could ever read. Its healing, awakening, realization and full of hope and strength to it. Thanks for Robert, I wish him a good health and family.
Robert green is such a beautiful way of living he is changing my life and my mindset for a better. I deal very well with depression knowing his information he gathered through his life and his analysis of other people’s life
Such an amazing episode!! I hope that Mr. Greene will receive the peace to not be so hard on himself! Being honest in this day and age is hard enough… He is already doing a good job just by deciding to be aware of his choices AND be considerate of others 😢. Once again, this was amazing Jay💯
"inner sky" this is the word that creates curiosity in me, I always feel that there is the sky in me but I didn't try to discover it but now this is the time to do a researches on my inner sky. Thank you Rober Green for sharing us this incredible thoughts and experiences and thank you Jay for your butiful shows. Much love and respects.

I'm so surprised by how much I resonated with this man, the ubringing, the difficulty to forgive oneself especially because of the ubringing of not being good enough, likeable, growing up with shame. The similar weaknesses and chellenges, and a couple of other things that I can't recall. Wow, what a refreshing episode!
It was a treasure to see this episode! Much love to Robert Green, such timely treasures contained in his every utterance. So grateful that he chose the path of sharing! Also interesting to hear of his less serious, silly side. More health and wellness be unto him!
1:00:00 Huge fun of Robert and Jay, two of my favourite people on set. I was super excited to hear Robert mention learning the African language, and especially to hear him mention my beloved country #Ghana studying my mother touge langue #Akan. I can't wait for the next book.

I so enjoyed your discussion together. These are the kinds of discussions I have with myself, so it's great to hear you verbalising the things I dwell on
Introspective and inspirational!! Robert Green balances his 50 laws of power with 1 universal Law..Ļove, peace and a fascination for meaning aiding the hunan condition..Good Show Shetti 👍
Fascinating podcast with Greene! Love content that drifts away from his books. Opening the conversation up in different directions gives us more insight to him as a person
I'm more comfortable in small circles as far as real friendships. But at the same time I enjoy being around smart and positive people. They help me stay motivated in a sense because of so many achievements. I'm a loner and I like my own space, but I also being around friends that I connect with. Its hard to trust many, and to open yourself up makes you vulnerable. I've had some fair weather friends and I've had very few solid good friends. Making new friends is a real challenge nowadays.
This is such a great conversation. I appreciate you both allowing yourselves to be vulnerable by sharing your truth and Truth. I love the idea of seeking new ideas from old books. Thank you both! 🙏🏽
I’ve read the 48 laws of power in the past, and I just finished reading think like a monk. I love this interview it did a very great job interpreting life and human behaviors from both perspectives
I always learn so much from Robert Green. He would definitely be one of the three people I would love to have a dinner party with. I have been putting off learning to play the piano and because of you I will start today.
"People's perception of your can be how you actually believe about yourself." Robert Greene. Wow, this is profound!! (And, yes, Jay, I have subscribed. I'm beginning a new, good, habit!)
I consider myself as a negative person and I am very aware about that. I hope that through these conversations will help me on how to lessen the negativity in me. Self-awareness is true before how we react about everything. Don't just use your emotion alone. It can ruin you.
Hello, I’m from Bhutan 🇧🇹 and thank you for mentioning about it. Well I sometimes think we as a Bhutanese including myself doesn’t value much how rich of a culture we have especially youths and cherish it. Like our King always say, youth is the future but then we are so influenced by the western culture that such beautiful culture are diminishing. However thanks to all the people who constantly put in work to keep it alive. At the same time I believe it is also very important to adapt to what’s going around in your neighbourhood and around the world. I mean the advancement of technology and various other things, it’s inevitable to avoid. Not because it is mandatory but then to understand and I can say to protect ourselves. That is why with our Kings leadership we are trying out a new thing which is called the Mindfulness city. It will include various economic hub with advanced technologies but also incorporating the nature and all living things around it. (Not destroying much of the forest but rather building around it) And if it’s successful the plan is to expand around the country. Think of it as the “WAKANDA” city in the Black Panther. ( And of course when jay was mentioning about not having malls, restaurants and machines it’s partly true. We do have this but not like other countries but rather small due to less intake of FDI. However in most part of our country it’s true what jay said, there is very less of it and people are fine with it. Also we do have military but small. And about the mountains and all yes it’s true we believe almost all part of the country is sacred and blessed by great spiritual leaders of ancient times. We pray and offer to the lakes, mountains, tress and all kinds of natural things. It’s the least we can do and in a way expect blessings from the deities we believe that live in them) Thank you 🙏 😊
@@selvijohn3896 well I mean human desire is such a thing that we become blind at seeing beautiful natural things and built artificial stuff to call it beauty. We always want more and therefore become destructive.

I've traveled the world for years trying to get as much of this different perspective that would put me out of my own belief system, but I stopped about 10 years ago because of burn out and because everything started to feel generic. This had a huge affect on me and I slowly diluted back into an old belief system/perspective. Listening to this two great people conversation (specially the last part) has taken the nostalgia out of my memories and brought back the spark that motivated me to expose myself as I explored myself from the outside in. ❤️ It! Thank you! ,🙏🙇
What a lovely moment! It’s so refreshing and deep at the same time. Just love the way those two are interacting. Probably the first interview of Robert Greene where I see him so interested and stimulated by his host. So cute 🥰
I think being a modern philosopher (what these guys both are, as opposed to "self help gurus"), the advice is simply shared wisdom. Wisdom comes from love: they love life and what it comprises of in the human experience. I still think that they do have the flaws and "dark" moments, and maybe even more "deeply" (consciously) because they have the courage to explore and entertain it. They need to be so human to report the truth relating to that. I love fellow thinkers, thank you for being yourselves and sharing.
Thank you for having me back on the podcast Jay.

His parting words of self forgiveness cut deep. What a gem of a human ❤
Such a beautiful soul.
Thank you ❤
When I see this guy spitting facts, it’s gets me in a mode of thinking about how infinite or how much of a contradiction life is
Thank you Mr.
I felt the same.
The way you handle stress in your life shows, how strong or weak character you have!
Thank you both @robertgreeneofficial for your love n encouragement for authenticity of the individual 🙏🏼 these thoughts are liberating and spark a childlike curiosity for which I need not be ashamed 🙏🏼💕
Love & Light ☀️✨
If it's not simple to explain, you do not fully understand it. The books, concepts, while frustrating during the process, will become complete when they become simple to the author. I. think this is what I heard. Thank you gentlemen. I have found your discussion highly relatable, validating, and motivating.
I have listened to this at least twice. So much here resonates with my soul. There’s a long list but this conversation definitely reminds me that what is most personal is most universal. Loved the open vulnerability and humility. A real soul soother this one.
Thanks!
My heart is breaking hearing robert saying about how his work is what fills him up. I know exactly what he means, it saved us... it fills up that hole. I'm so greatful for this podcast

I love and appreciate Dr. Greene.
God bless his soul, his words and his energy for sharing and spreading all this greatness with each and one of us.
❤i appreciate you tooooooo
This is such an amazing episode, I really hope everyone takes something and has a question they've been asking themselves answered. I've also wanted to be a writer since a young age, talked myself out if it and finally wrote and published my first poetry book at the age of 31!!! Take the leap guys!
Thanks
This is what I missed from Jay’s podcast. What an incredible episode. It has been all some kind of marketing recently. I love this. Keep them coming Jay!
I've always wondered about the man behind the books, and it turns out Robert Greene is so lovely, so curious and fascinating, and so real in his vulnerability. This is such a lovely interview.
So many things spoke to me during this episode. To mention just one "Music captures the spirit of a time." from Robert Greene. I love that! Thank you both for a wonderful conversation!
Yes their comments on music touched me spirit
Glad you have Robert Greene back on the podcast & have touched on something too personal to me about the circles I have in my life about negativity & the negative people to have around! I connect deeply with negative people in family! Thanks for inspiring my progression to doing better Jay! Keep up the consistency for the rest of this year 😊
Thank you for watching!
omg! I love Robert Greene, just a few days ago I could finally complete his books collection. Great work. He gave me back my love for reading and I'll be forever greatful for that.

@@tamerattadesse6928 sorry, what?
Wow, how humble and vulnerable Robert is, I was surprised by what he said at the end about being very hard on himself. thank you jay for this interview 💫😊
Thank you Robert for your self sharing. So helpful! It’s hard to turn off thoughts!
It goes like this:
The meaning of life is whatever meaning you give it.
This man is so real. I feel reflection of humility there. Love his wise thoughts.
this man is really brilliant. He knows what to show to his viewers.I guaranteed that most of them are here to improve their listening and speaking 😅😅❤❤.
Respect button for this man ❤❤
He’s my favorite thinker and writer, so I wish him think on Quran and read it carefully.
Why all these people say what they think , is it for fun or what’s the out come of what they sayings …. The truth is we don’t know… thanks for sharing what’s run in their mind …
What the destination of your dreams…. . .. ?

Jay, you’re my spiritual friend🫂 I start every morning with you and your amazing guests. Your work is guiding me through the most unstable time of my life and helping me stay calm and optimistic. Thank you for that🫶🏼
A matured, honest conversation between two deep thinkers - Human Nature and its acceptance and realization vs Rising above the complex nature through spiritual pursuits! Just amazing souls exchanging ideas!
Oh my goodness. Such a gift, I love thinking past my boundries. So many ways I could be such a better source to humanity that I didnt think of. I am in awe. You say what I feel and see in such simple words for deeper understanding. I am so gratful for this moment.
i am not a podcast person but i cant believe i ended up listening it till end. As a whole it was very interesting .NOW I LL Start listening to podcasts ... i think its a good hobby
Haida Gwaii is a small remote island with NO fast food or drive throughs. Northern British Columbia, beautiful scenery, kindest community!! Simple, quiet living ✨✨
With most respect, thank you both. Thought about what you said, like when pain happens, we leverage it to become medicine or poison 🪶
What a learning day for me! I felt empathy in every subject. Thank you for sharing your struggles. Extraordinary talk. 💫
It was a treasure to see this episode! Much love to Robert Green, such timely treasures contained in his every utterance. So grateful that he chose the path of sharing! Also interesting to hear of his less serious, silly side. More health and wellness be unto him!

Huge fun of Robert and Jay, two of my favourite people on set.
I was super excited to hear Robert mention learning the African language, and especially to hear him mention my beloved country #Ghana studying my mother touge langue #Akan.
I can't wait for the next book.
Man I really like Robert Greene's thoughts, and Jay thoughts too. Its so brilliant and resonate to me a lot
Thank you Jay for bringing Robert Greene on the show. This podcast has made me expand my thoughts and just excited me to jump into the ocean a little deeper to see what i find for myself.Thank you Jay and Robert
❤❤ Both of you can help billions of people for the reason you are simply gifted for doing good and not evil. ❤❤ Two beautiful heards. ❤❤

You are always where you are supposed to be at any given moment, and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to listen to this amazing talk. I am inspired by both of you guys humility and honesty in your human experience and want to learn more! Thanks
I so enjoyed your discussion together. These are the kinds of discussions I have with myself, so it's great to hear you verbalising the things I dwell on
Me too
Introspective and inspirational!! Robert Green balances his 50 laws of power with 1 universal Law..Ļove, peace and a fascination for meaning aiding the hunan condition..Good Show Shetti 👍
Mr.Robert is truly one of the finest writers, and his work consistently stands out. It would be wonderful to see him featured in this podcast video…🙏💐
Fascinating podcast with Greene! Love content that drifts away from his books. Opening the conversation up in different directions gives us more insight to him as a person
So many great stories on this channel. It touches me deeply and brings warm tears of gratitude to my eyes and heart. I love this!
This podcast spoke to me on every level! Thank you Robert Greene and Jay Shetty.
I’ll never miss a Robert Greene video. If the world was just, Mr Greene would be my mentor😢
It’s the least we can do and in a way expect blessings from the deities we believe that live in them)
Thank you 🙏 😊
Whole earth was garden of Eden ..precious gift from GOD 🙏.humans did wt best' they could obviously.self destruction😭
Did u study in RTC?
@@xiaoiue3391 hahah yes. Is that you Sagar?
@@selvijohn3896 well I mean human desire is such a thing that we become blind at seeing beautiful natural things and built artificial stuff to call it beauty.
We always want more and therefore become destructive.
@@SonamTobden-or7bg yes lol. I only know one Sonam tobden who is interested in such wisdom and wrote long explainations so it kinda occured to me that it had to be you, MF.
Robert is amazing, almost healing to my soul his words ❤
I love this man, he has changed my life for the absolute better
Bhutan is one of the happiest country and carbon negative country. My king and my country ❤❤❤
Thank you for talking about my country
