As soon as you mention the towel, I checked my favorite travel towel I bought long ago (more than 7 Years) I don’t even remember which city it was, but definitely one which has a samurai town, It was sold at souvenir shop. And guess what, it IS imabari towel, all this time I didn’t know 😂😂 I just bought it because I love the pattern, I think I got a face towel but quite long like an onsen towel with pink morning glory as a pattern, it’s soooo cute. I use it as a body towel till now whenever I travel bcoz I always travel as compact as I can and normal towel usually use a lot of space. BUT even tho the size is small and quite thin, it unbelievably absorbent and bcoz it quite thin it dries quickly too. Still quite fluffy till now even tho I abused it thru the years 😂😂 love it❤ definitely want to buy it again! Japanese knife still one of my top list but for whatever reason I still didn’t buy it … PS: I dunno if I should thank you or cry on the corner cuz after this, my wishlist def increase…lol
What a great story thank you so much for sharing! I really enjoyed reading your comment! 😊😊😊 the quality of the towel is so good isn’t it! They last for such a long time. Haha I’m so glad to hear 😂 keep these items on your wishlist and take your time to feel/ see them before you decide whether or not to purchase when you’re next in Japan! 🥰
@@gorillasinheels waaa never knew I’d get pinned!!thank you! You’re so kind replying the comments! But yea, I’m considering buying Bruno at thrift store, some said that used appliances in Japan still have good condition. And about Japanese knife, is it worth it buying a budget knife for a long term use? I once almost buy a Santoku (I think it was santoku) knife at tsukiji for ¥3000, I doubt the quality bcoz usually it range around ¥15000, right? But it was sold at tsukiji so at least it still in good quality…I dunno (didn’t have the chance to try it) Oh! And your list of recommendations really helpful for someone who actually have been to Japan several time or at least once, a lot of video recommendation was meant to be for first timer, so thank you again!
😊😊 I bought my Bruno secondhand as well and it works perfectly! Santoku are very good all purpose knives. I understand the quality of the knives can be determined by how long it holds it’s sharpness and how easy it is to sharpen. I can’t wait to return to Japan already there’s so much to see and learn about! ☺️☺️
Wow! I appreciate how much background information you put into your videos, makes me want to get these items even more... Can't wait to snap up a bunch of the Imabari towels in particular. You're slowly becoming my favourite lifestyle vlogger, more videos please!
Great video. Very helpful suggestions. I'll definitely try to find some hand made knives when I travel to Japan later this year. I think they can make great gifts as well.
I purchased a tiger flask which you can only use for keeping cold drinks cold. It was not very cheap but this is one of the best products I ever bought. It functions so well, sometimes I cannot believe how it is possible to keep drinks cool for so long.
Without seeing the video yet, i knew what towel that is! Used to live in japan and that is my go to gift to friends n family. U can get something as small (thus affordable!) as a handkerchief, not just towels so really a good variety of stuff to choose.
thank you for sharing!!!!! i definitely will find the towel for my next japan trip very soon. cant wait! in fact i have been looking for an info on which Japanese towel is good and you shared it! thank you!!!!!!!! May i know the brand of your Japanese knife please. Thanks again
You’re very welcome! 🥰 I hope you like the towels and enjoy using them for a long time to come! There are alot of different makers but go to tower knives shop and they will be able to recommend something based on your needs & price points. We got the ones made by Tanaka ☺️☺️
I loved this. I really welcome enthusiastic recommendations from, well, anybody and everybody. Plus, I love hearing about what other people buy and love when they're on holiday. Thank you! You're the third person who's recommended an imabari towel so we bought one from Standard Products near Muji and are yet to test it out. We were searching for a bigger bath towel but they seemed to only sell a smaller size so it will be interesting to see how it works out. Thanks for your great channel. (PS: Your husband wandering into Mikimoto not knowing what he wanted to buy, only that he wanted to buy you something, is adorable. Lucky lady!)
Thank you so much for leaving this message! Test the small ones out first and see if you like them! The big towels are definitely worth it if you can find them 😊😊😊 they soak up the water really quickly and are so light weight. (P.S yes it was a really sweet gesture 🥰)
Unfortunately I don’t recall the name anymore! The shops stock different kinds of boards and walking around & seeing what’s available helps. I also find that they have different items available each time I visit.
Great video heading to Osaka next week 😂 can you tell me the brand of sunglasses? I hear Matsuda brand is well made. Are you familiar with this brand. Thank You
I have the Bruno as well and got so inspired to make my own takoyaki after returning from Japan lol. Not Osaka quality but still pretty good! Most ingredients we can find from Donki. Super interested in the knives you were talking about as well. Def bookmarking this!
Haha yes it’s such a fun activity as well. Do check the knives out when you’re next in Japan! Thanks for dropping by and hope to see more of your videos soon! 😊😊
Hi !!! Am in Japan till 15th, first time...can you pls let me know on urgent basis where to buy men office bag n it ranges from how many yens. Also pls pls write the prices of the things mentioned above. Thanks

Hello! Great video recommendations! With regards to the spectacles brand that you mentioned, do they have sunglasses and are their products made specially for Asians who might have a low to non-existent nose bridge? Lol I have a pretty flat nose bridge so I find it hard to find sunglasses that sit on my nose bridge without sliding down every few minutes. Hoping to find a great pair that I would wear all the time. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks!
Thank you for watching and dropping by! My husband has the same issue finding glasses that fit on his nose but he says the ones that he has bought from Japan are perfect. You can always try different frames in store and once you decide on a pair, the store assistant will help you to adjust so that they fit you perfectly ☺️
Thank you so much 😊😊 I’ve not tried Nishikawa pillows before, they look good though. I’ve been using tempur pillows 😊 let me know if you do try them out!

What about slimming legging pants? Are they cheaper in Japan?
I haven’t tried them. The price point really depends on quality/ where it’s made etc.
