I literally crying thinking of Tim having Brandon Mcdonald tattooed from ear to chin looking like Post Malone. Rule number one is he has to keep that one side shaved to show off the art work and his love for Brandon❤
Great vid, Brandon. "Baby Drunk" is a real thing.... Congrats on the little one. Mathews Lift is a great bow. The bow holds unbelievably. A target style bow on a hunting platform. And, I was never a Mathews guy - Hoyt and Prime were my preferred bow, but I could not argue when I shot the 29.5. If I was taller, I would have gone with the 33, but the 29.5 feels like a 31 or even a 32. Thanks for vid!
Ahhh the old baby drunk aka baby haze, baby delirium. It goes by quick then you almost miss it. Good to see you back making more archery content man, you're one of my favorite RUclips personalities. Congrats on your kid and on your growing success.
Let’s go Brandon!😂 Tim better keep the videos coming. I have been shooting a Halon 32 since 2017 and I don’t use any stabilizers. It’s so accurate now I just don’t want to add them and it’s perfectly balanced with the quiver permanently mounted. I am getting a bow this year and it will either be the Lift, for the Core SR.
We have a Mathews LIFT 33 in for long term testing and this made me curious to weigh the setup. Raptor Peep, Ultraview UV Slider, Hamskea Epsilon, 15" Mathews Target front bar with 2oz., Mathews Bridgelock back bar mount, 10" Mathews Hunting back bar with 5oz., Shot sense and side plates installed, EXO limb legs installed: we came in at 7.10 lbs. Considering this 33" ATA bow has a riser length of 33.5", that weight is unreal! Love this video - keep up the great work. Subbed!
@@brandonmcdonald6121 agreed - lighter "center of mass" bows + stabilizers will make bows easier to handle and more stable. We have a bow in our hands right now with nearly identical risers and ATA specs to the LIFT...and it is even lighter!
you should give a bee stinger 15" counterslide mounted on the back bar hole I did it and won't go back to front and back bar setup for hunting its balanced compact and makes a great backpack mount
I had a dog pee right on the string of one of my Bows where you would draw it to your face and literally just smell old dog pee. I will take old cigar smoke any day!
Regarding stability, I haven't looked into measurements that closely...but I wouldn't be surprised if the riser on the lift 33 is longer than the RX* ultra, despite being 1.5 inches shorter ATA. I'm still deciding what sight to put on my lift. One day I think I'm going to get an HHA, the next day its Black Gold, then Dialed, then UV. All these decisions!
It’s perfectly fine I have been watching MFJJ he never changes the fingers out if it works for him it will work for the rest of us he is a pro those fingers cost more then the press
It’s kind of nuts. The Archery world is obviously small, but the amount of bow presses they sell for home use compared to most other industries is infinitesimally small. Gotta make that money!
Just saying I am a 50 year old blue collar worker bow hunting is my passion i know what it is like starting from the bottom just over the past few years I have been able to get flag ship stuff we are worried about getting people in to the sport why can’t we make the stuff more affordable
The rest has actually been making some noise after I adjust it. Not sure what’s going on. My rule is, get it perfect and then something will break so you get to start over!
So have you had any cable guard clearance issues being 13/16” off the riser? I am running lower profile Bohning Heat vanes and BARELY clear. A 3 fletch .23 or .27 arrow diameter would be impossible with my setup 🧐
If you wanted to run max hunters I think you sure might. Cock vane closer to 2 o’clock. I still really like max stealths in a 4 fletch. No issue there.
Let’s see TC with an ice cream cone tattoo on his face, Brandon McDonald written in the cone and 50k in the scoops. Maybe a throw a Mohawk on the top for MFJJ.
For anyone who has owned both, where would my money be better spent, new lift 33 or a used v3x33 for half the price? I have rest, sight and stabs so accessories don't factor into it as much.
I’ve been thinking about this question a lot. I think the lift is about 10% better than the V3 X. 10% is a ton in bow terms, but it’s still only 10% better.
Whatever matches the scope housing you are using and the position of the scope if it’s on a dovetail. The further out the scope is from the riser the smaller the peep is going to be. If you have light shining around the outside of your housing through your peep, your mind is about to be blown at how much more accurate you are going to be with the correct size peep.
Mathews and a lot of bow techs say you shouldn't press a beyond parallel limb bow like a Mathews in a regular press. Of course, there are special adapters for the Last Chance presses, but they're $300. I have never had an issue pressing a modern Mathews or similar bow in a regular Last Chance bow press. Make sure everything is lined up go slow.
The answer to that may come down to general bow fit. How tall are you, and do you prefer a larger string angle at full draw? If you are spending a good deal of time shooting further distances and 3D, it is going to be hard to argue with the stability of the larger riser of the 33. Then again, you might find a really good fit with the 29.5 given your draw length (keep in mind, the LIFT 29.5 has a riser that is as long as many 33 ATA hunting bows anyway!). I would suggest that you try to demo each one, and have the shop really help you identify your peep height for ~40 yards and determine which feels best when holding at full draw 😄
Apex ain’t wrong. If I could shoot the 29.5 I would because the more compact size would be nice for blinds and trees. But, 98% of what I do is have fun in the yard. 33 is great.
Yo! See you at league. Assuming this is the same “stained arrow”. Your peep should virtually eclipse the housing of the bow. There should be no light around the housing

Whoever gets the 50k will be Master Po, he who does not shall of course be Grasshopper. Some kind of dramatic scene of one of you lording your supremacy and forcing the other to pick up a burning pot with your wrists that has some kind of relative semblance making the mark. You know what I’m sayin?

Even with the legs it’s just over 7lbs. That’s awesome. I’ve been pushing 9lbs on certain Bows. Makes a big difference

That’s hilarious….@ the 1:00 mark I said to myself. “Sounds like Brandon’s been up all night”. Then instantly you talk about lack of sleep.
Hahaha. When I stayed editing I was half tempted to post it unedited. I was giving Joe Biden a run for his money.
My youngest woke up every 2 hours for almost 2 years. “Baby drunk” is real my friend
We’ve been really lucky and he actually sleeps pretty well at night. I’d say every three or four nights it’s not the best!
I served with a male U.S. Marine in Afghan that had a Tramp Stamp. It made him a tougher Marine… I can promise you that.

Tim Connor from Terminator?

What Scott said. I’m just really careful about the placement when I put it in and about how far I press it.
