Man, that first 150yd shot. How awesome would it have been if the arrow sliced through the ratchet strap and you just saw the whole target go down. Came pretty dang close!
Nice shooting, try the bohning heat vanes, 2.5long, like .4 tall, around 6.2grains, I love em, 3deg helical for broad heads, 1 degree for target and longer range. And that is with victory standard gamer 350spines...

@@brandonmcdonald6121 yup you did it again……. Inspirations galore. Just got back inside from setting up my Rx-8 ultra for distance. Only got to 100. Thanks again for the shove!
I was really excited to get the uv slider, but when I was waiting for a backorder shipment, I started reading their warranty stuff. I can't justify $600 for a sight with a warranty that's voided if you shoot it in extreme heat/cold, rain, snow, sleet, or wind. I hunt in almost all weather conditions... But freaking WIND voids it?! Also, if you just target shoot and never plan to hunt, not having a DEC approved archery safety course completed when you purchase this sight voids the warranty too :(
I’d be curious to know if anyone has had any issues getting stuff replaced. I wonder if they’re doing that in case of potential abuse my customers. I know that for our home building business we drastically limit the warranty that we offer people but as long as the folks aren’t complete a holes, we will typically go way over and above for them.
@brandonmcdonald6121 What got me started down that rabbit hole was a forum I was reading where a guy said his light quit working after hunting in the rain and they would replace or work on it. I thought there was no way a company would do that if they were trying to build a loyal customer base... but anything is possible! Who knows, maybe the guy beat it up badly and didn't want to take responsibility. BUT I would love to see someone with some pull actually ask them about that portion of the warranty and do a video breaking it all down. It's valuable info for such an expensive sight. Anyway, I really appreciate the reply! Thanks, Brandon. Good luck with your race against Tim!
I had to watch this again so cool I'm shooting right now but inside at 12-14 yds BUT IT'S warm and dry and have some tuns crancked The distance dosen't look that far at 140 and out? I know it's the camera OR IS IT??????
Love how you always got the stogie ripping. Whats your favorite, or go to cigar? Im a Padron guy myself. Cant go wrong…Padron 2/3000 series natural. But i love em all. Oliva G is a reallly great all around smoke. Especially with a coffee
I was smoking a pedron 4000 natural this very evening. I actually prefer the Meduro I think. But for the $$ I haven’t beat it yet. I had a 25th anniversary the other day. $30 and it was the best cigar I’ve ever had… not good news for the bank account!
@@brandonmcdonald6121 thats awesome lol yeah all the Padron anniversary series are some incredible smokes. Actually cheaper in the grand scheme of things comparatively, for what kind of cigar and consistency youre getting. If you like those try an Oliva G, V, and Melanio if you havent already.
80# bow and RIP XV arrow with the smaller UV3 scope and super small vanes, and you might have a pin for it... or pretty close and you. can use the technique of pin stacking
Brandon did you make that target holder with the mat and frame? If so can you do a video on it? I’ve been wanting to build my own for long distance with some really thick wrestling mats I have and a frame similar to the one you have holding your matrix target
Yeah, I made that one. I dot. Think I did a video on this one but it’s pretty simple. 4x4s for the sides, 2x6s everywhere else then screw the Mats to the back. The key is to screw just the top of the mat if it will hold that way it has give to it. It’ll stop things easier.
I need to borrow the garmin again and put it down at the target. They lose a crazy amount of penetration power past 67 yards. So at 150, it’s probably not a good plan to shoot an elephant!
**Attention Team McDonald in the Brandon vs Tim race to 50k: if you are like me and subscribed to both these fine fellas consider unsubscribing from Tim’s channel, just until Tim gets the tattoo. Love you Tim ❤
I don’t recommend the cameras that I use since I also use them for other purposes. But what you’re seeing in this video is the Canon C 70 with the 70-200 lens on it.
I’ve done that too but not on this setup. I’ve got a 6 degree helical on these and I think it’s just too much. They start to fall apart maybe halfway down.
Im rocking those same VAP SS 4mm arrows. 29.5” draw….what insert and vanes are you running to get that weight. Im right around same weight but with a little but shorter of an arrow
I really like this one. Can’t remember the name but they have a blue camo or this green. It’s not their normal pattern. It looks even better when I don’t have a pocket full of batteries making me look like I have a bigger gut than I’ve already got!
I feel like you might already have Tim's name tattooed across your lower back, (not that there's anything wrong with that), but I'm rooting for you anyways,
1.5k up.. just a simple clerical error 😊
Dammit!!!!
😂💀
I see my man Brandon killing these long range shots… sup with you and MFJJ and a 200 yard group son
That was really good shooting dude. With the quiver on too 🙌🏼
Hell no 😂
You're excitement over popping balloons made this worthwhile on itself
You guys make these 100 yard shots look so easy it makes me reassess my archery skills…

I hope everybody subs him up 🤙

I've tried so many vanes but always coming back to heat. 4 fletch, 2.5° right helical on bitz for broadheads.
Every time I watch your videos, this Utah boy wants to own some property in Tennessee.
LMFAO!!! " I have a life and a baby!!" take that timmy!!

ice cold 🥶🥶🥶
The Babe Ruth of balloons! Haha

So ready for TAC...
Come to Wisconsin and shoot the last permanent archery golf course. North Fond du Lac archery club.
That sounds like a good time to me!
Awesome work. It’s hard to make time for everything. Keep it up!
Enjoyed making this one. Shooting long distance is one of my favorite things to do.

Great shooting! No way I'd shoot arrows as expensive as VAP SS at TAC. I'd go with a 3DHV Sport with glue in points.
I’m breaking out the 3dhvs tomorrow to see how much farther I can get them to go
Nice shooting! Will you being go to tac in GA this year since its not in Tennessee?
Not sure now that they moved it. Adds more travel for me. I could drive in and out each day for Tn, but I bet the shoot will be better at the new spot
I just signed up for the killington Vt TAC. Im so excited. But i got ALOT of practicing to do until then. I mean alot. 😅😅Are you going Brandon?

I'm running Hybrid 23's on RIP XV shafts for TAC. Stupidly light and budget friendly.
Only baby Tim has is his face when he shaves :) I love Tim and your contest to 50K - Switch to victory 3DHV arrows its a vinner for long range
He was using 3DHV arrows before at TAC.
I would shave about 40 grains off that arrow or farther and flatter shooting
I’ve got some 3dhvs I may try and see how much more I could get out of them.
Great shooting Brandon. You may have to consider selling your baby to defeat Tim. You shoot that Mathews Lift really good man!
This might be necessary. I’ll talk to the wife!
What do have have for FOC with the SS arrows? Good shooting by the way!
175 total our front for these. I’m probably pretty low maybe around 12 on these is my guess.
I got 155 yd out of my dialed Arxos triple pin using pins
At least Tim c tramp stamp saves you 10% if you have to have it. What size peep you using? Lens?
No lens. I think this one’s a 1/8” but it could be 3/16. I’d have to get the calipers out
Q2i fusion x-2 in a 4fletch will give you the clearance and steering you need. That’s what I would use
I think I’m going to try the small tac vanes. 4 fletch so I can group tune them.

.010 pin and it does pretty much cover at that distance.
And here I am struggling to hit my matrix at 50 most days.
Shut yo mouth. I seen your groups!
Brandon, I keep hearing of people getting Fletch contact with the Roller Guard on the LIFT…Any issues?
I’ve been shooting two sets of arrows that are pretty short so I haven’t had that issue. Maybe I should say, yet.

Some damn good groups at distance man. Nice shooting. Tim needs 10k in archery equipment to do the same 😂
Off the top ropes wow!!!😂
Have you found a good cigar clip/holder for your binocular pack while you’re shooting?
I seriously want one for the bow 😀
Your vanes are hitting the bottom of your scope housing that’s why your arrows are wobbling. Nice shooting though.
