xX Valtiel Xx Yep. The thing is- the „Stormtroopers can’t do shit“ stereotype hasn’t even been started by the main movies. In Ep.4, they Stormtroopers intentionally let the protagonists escape to find the rebel base. In Ep.5, the Stormtroopers absolutely mop the floor with the rebel forces in open combat. In Ep.6 it’s much the same, until they are overwhelmed by superior numbers (also keep in mind that Ewoks are literally mini-Wookies, they can mash in your head with their staffs and maces), terrain advantage and sheer luck. In the expanded univerSe they’re much the same: Ruthless, expertly trained and skilled elite forces crushing any resistance they meet (unless they’re up against main characters). The internet made them a meme, and somehow that fucking joke counts more than the actual evidence of their superior skill.
"Whoever, or whatever he is, Palpatine possessed enormous vision, and his plans for the galaxy may still be in motion." I gotta send all my friends this video.
I know this would never happen, but I want a series based on the Imperial's viewpoint; not the cliche "Oh No we're the bad guys, let's switch sides!" kind of story, but the story of an imperial admiral who believes the empire can bring order to the galaxy, a Tie Fighter who wanted to be a great hero for the empire, and stormtrooper who wanted revenge & justice on the rebels who kill a love one of his. In other words, people who truly believe the empire can do good and are willing to fight for it.
Even better (albeit tragic and painful to watch), a Stormtrooper who's wife and kids were killed by Rebels. And after he retires, he remains bitter against the New Republic.
@@tinobemellowThere was an ISB agent in the Empire's End book series that lost his family in a New Republic bombing of an Imperial prison installation and attacked a New Republic pilot over it in Maz Kanata's castle.
It's not just a belief, the Empire actually brought order, security, jobs, thriving economy and trade to the galaxy. It was also a pan-galactic empire where all species was included, so not racist, it also tried to reduce to the bare minimum the victims of its campaigns, while other forces like the Jedi, despite self-proclaimed "keepers of peace" really had a passion for violence and murdering. Not to mention meddling in the democratic process by determine for and by themselves what a "democracy" should be and how it must run. The Empire, unlikely the former corrupt Republic, gave power to regional regions and sectors to self-rule themselves in the name of the Emperor. So no more waitings the Galactic Senate would fix their problems. I never saw a decentralized Empire in my life. This is the only available example. Surely the imperials was less patient with rebels and terrorists, but again, we talk about rebels and terrorists, not peaceful citizens. One can argue that the life of normal citizens was more hard with the Empire, but at the same time we have to remember that thanks to the redustribution of wealth, much more people in the Galaxy had the chance to obtain a decent life... and that imply that others, formely rich communities, had to ceed part of their wealth for a greater good. Isn't that democracy? Isn't that Justice? The Empire wasn't the bad guys. Maybe the Emperor, a dark sith lord but, even in that case, we have to admit that it was by his orders if the Empire was able to obtain such progressive goals. The Republic instead left the galaxy in such state of retrograde state, with even slavery left untouched in some places of the galaxy, only because they believed that the opinion of such discutible persons should be considered and respected. That's not democracy, that's corruption. I see the same values of the old fascist Italy in such Empire and I can't stop myself to think if that regime wasn't worthy of something after all. But again, the current Republic is way better. We have yield some of the heritages kf the regime while refusing others and we have mixed them into our new Republic. One day a new Caesar will rise and lead the Republic to the new Empire. A just Empire. An Empire that will repair at the wrongs suffered and tribute justice for all our people that was left in the dust by those corrupt "western" republics that talk so much about democracy while leaving this world to the mercé of tyrants and warlords only to protect their pitiful, mediocre and sad interests, ignoring by that, the needs of billions of people. Also that is one truly disturbing universe and unleashing the mighty Replicators on it would be mercy to all.
Please note that in the Legends Universe, the Galactic Empire had a much more enduring legacy than the canon one that ended at Exegol. There was officially a 2nd Galactic Empire in legends, that which was ruled by the Fel dynasty of Imperial hardliners, and it may be taken that as many as 3 more also existed: the Dark Empire, in its heyday, was semi-Galactic; the Galactic Alliance under Commandant Jacen Solo/ Darth Caedus might as well have been a de facto empire, and really the Fel dynasty's Empire ended with Darth Caedus' coup, which brought about a galaxy-wide Sith empire.
Citizens of the civilized galaxy, on this day we mark a transition. For a thousand years, the Republic stood as the crowning achievement of civilized beings. But there were those who would set us against one another, and we took up arms to defend our way of life against the Separatists. In so doing, we never suspected that the greatest threat came from within. The Jedi, and some within our own Senate, had conspired to create the shadow of Separatism using one of their own as the enemy's leader. They had hoped to grind the Republic into ruin. But the hatred in their hearts could not be hidden forever. At last, there came a day when our enemies showed their true natures. The Jedi hoped to unleash their destructive power against the Republic by assassinating the head of government and usurping control of the clone army. But the aims of would-be tyrants were valiantly opposed by those without elitist, dangerous powers. Our loyal clone troopers contained the insurrection within the Jedi Temple and quelled uprisings on a thousand worlds. The remaining Jedi will be hunted down and defeated! Any collaborators will suffer the same fate. These have been trying times, but we have passed the test. The attempt on my life has left me scarred and deformed, but I assure you my resolve has never been stronger. The war is over. The Separatists have been defeated, and the Jedi rebellion has been foiled. We stand on the threshold of a new beginning. In order to ensure our security and continuing stability, the Republic will be reorganized into the first Galactic Empire, for a safe and secure society, which I assure you will last for ten thousand years. An Empire that will continue to be ruled by this august body and a sovereign ruler chosen for life. An Empire ruled by the majority, ruled by a new constitution! By bringing the entire galaxy under one law, one language, and the enlightened guidance of one individual, the corruption that plagued the Republic in its later years will never take root. Regional governors will eliminate the bureaucracy that allowed the Separatist movement to grow unchecked. A strong and growing military will ensure the rule of law. Under the Empire's New Order, our most cherished beliefs will be safeguarded. We will defend our ideals by force of arms. We will give no ground to our enemies and will stand together against attacks from within or without. Let the enemies of the Empire take heed: those who challenge Imperial resolve will be crushed. We have taken on a task that will be difficult, but the people of the Empire are ready for the challenge. Because of our efforts, the galaxy has traded war for peace and anarchy for stability. Billions of beings now look forward to a secure future. The Empire will grow as more planets feel the call, from the Rim to the wilds of unknown space. Imperial citizens must do their part. Join our grand star fleet. Become the eyes of the Empire by reporting suspected insurrectionists. Travel to the corners of the galaxy to spread the principles of the New Order to barbarians. Build monuments and technical wonders that will speak of our glory for generations to come. The clone troopers, now proudly wearing the name of Imperial stormtroopers, have tackled the dangerous work of fighting our enemies on the front lines. Many have died in their devotion to the Empire. Imperial citizens would do well to remember their example. The New Order of peace has triumphed over the shadowy secrecy of shameful magicians. The direction of our course is clear. I will lead the Empire to glories beyond imagining. We have been tested, but we have emerged stronger. We move forward as one people: the Imperial citizens of the first Galactic Empire. We will prevail. Ten thousand years of peace begins today!

I love this content because it tells the story from the opposing perspective. It allows the consumer to see both sides of the conflict which engages the mind more readily and makes for a more interesting experience.
The Grand Republic was a galactic institution dedicated on ensuring peace force its citizens and had aaid from the ancient jedi order. The Galactic Empire was the most ambitious and powerful organization ever seen in galactic galactic history with weaponry capableof destroying entire worlds with ease. The New Republic relegated the majority of their forces to a single system and was vanquished by a single blast from Starkiller base. The First Order aspired to rule the galaxy just like its predecessor and yet, with an even greater arsenal, they failed to defeat a puny band of misfits.
The fight the rebels had against the empire was sound in logic and planning- especially in the lore, fighting a war of attrition with hit and run while having their bases highly mobile. The base on Hoth was designed around being completely evacuated of all manpower and personnel within a few hours. The eventual defeat of the empire came from a thousands cuts with the Death Star loss’s being the two fatal stabs that started the downfall after being galvanized by the destruction of Alderaan. The “resistance” has nothing of note in terms of planning or execution, nor does their operating procedures make any sense. They have only plot armor to make them seem like the rebels but in every way worse against an enemy portrayed as the extreme evil- worse than the empire, without any backstory to speak of. My opinion, the fight between the rebels and the empire is the best way wars should be fought against a massive superior enemy- not that suicide attacks the resistance did.
@@assult878 I agree that episodes 4-6 did a much better job of displaying how the rebel alliance executed the Star Wars equivalent of guerilla warfare and not just having them win by default because of plot.

I wonder how the tie fighter’s performance would’ve been improved if they simply installed some external cameras to increase the pilot’s field of view. It’s one of the main disadvantages of most, if not, all tie variants.
I think it would have helped a whole lot to the pilots giving them lots of awareness. Considering they do not have on board sensors for other starfighters it would have been a major advantage over any other Voidcraft. Hence they could simply look where the enemy was wich as you are well aware is helpful, and this would also make the pilots be able to use more of the TIE advantages TL:DR You're a genius

xX Valtiel Xx Yep.

Never underestimate the Emperor for everything goes according to his plans and only his plan as show throughout the entire Skywalker Saga!
1:45 "The first... Galactic... Empire..." gave me chills, fantastic video
Read Thrawn trilogy by Timothy Zahn.
Ok

Apologies. The coup against Roan Fel was by Darth Krayt, not Caedus.
Watching this while drinking whiskey out a imperial glass. Very nice
Then Return of the Jedi happened.

The New Republic didn't get destroyed, just the then senate representatives who were all convened in that system.

Hence they could simply look where the enemy was wich as you are well aware is helpful, and this would also make the pilots be able to use more of the TIE advantages

These longer profiles videos are great! I can't wait for the next ones! :-D (Maybe one about Project Wildfire, from "The Andromeda Strain"?)
Sweet now do the one from Legend of the Galactic Heroes
