Looked like an awesome time. Nothing like combining fishing, camping, and friends/family. I will be primitive camping in the 10,000 islands end of December. I am already losing sleep I am so excited in anticipation.

Glad y'all had a good trip down. The speck spot at 30min mark was the CCA Louisiana Floating Island Project. Recycled plastic mats planted with native grasses and anchored out to create a barrier and more fish habitat. ccalouisiana.com/new1/conservation/floating-islands/

That cafe at the very end is where I got my fishing license for the IFA championship tournament. Grand Isle has got to be one of the best fishery in the whole US. Can’t wait to go back. Fished the pass at the end of Grand Isle and got into some monster bulls. Anywhere from 32” to 45” with big bellies. Y’all sure did sleigh them those couple of days.

It's funny how things move around the country. In the brackish rivers of North Carolina people have been throwing large gold beetle spins for puppy drum and bass for decades. Now Strike King calls it a Redfish Magic and it is popular down your way. I wonder what lures you use down there that we don;t know about up here yet.

Nice catches! Did you say 60° or 16°? If you have access to power for a heating pad, you can use a heating blanket. 60° I would still be in short pants. We use the heating blanket camping when it gets down to near freezing here in N Cakilacky...Thanks for sharing your adventure with us.
