I had trouble with mine because I started in the “on” position like the manual said. It was better to start “off “ and then do the on/off thing three times in order to get it done quicker

My manual says to turn to ignition and press left and right turn signal at the same time. NOT just the left one to get to the pin set on odometer

You left out a couple important steps, Two Blue FRED, on RUclips gives the complete information to change it. I followed your directions like 10 times never worked. Looked around and found them did their directions once it worked. 21 Roadking

Couldn't get it to work on pan america. Different controls and Manuel says to attach a FOB # to the security system. The regular old key method was much easier.

It's an easy enough process to get you home but probably not how you want to start your bike every time. You will have to do this every time you want to start the motorcycle without the fob.

My 2024 Heritage won't let me enter my PIN number if I'm sitting on the bike ?

Hey there, if the bike is stood up without the fob present, that will likely activate the security system and lock out anyone trying to use the PIN for a short while. You will need to either stand beside it, or sit on the bike while it rests on the kickstand undisturbed.

Sorry to hear! What year and model of Sportster? The process is different for RevMax bikes and Evo's.

Once you set your PIN how do you start your bike just by using the pin ?

At the 3:23 mark in the video, you'll see the process for starting the motorcycle with the PIN. Once the lights come on, you're good to use the starter button like normal. Hope that helps!

@@mnnomad1870 You use the left turn signal to cycle through the numbers 1-9 and the right turn signal to go to the next place holder. When you've put in the last correct number, press the right turn signal again to unlock the motorcycle. The lights will turn on and it is ready to start.

@@TobaccoRoadHD Yeah I finally figured that out after several failed attempts and restarts. Sure made me happy when the lights came on the instrument panel and everything booted up! How long does it stay in PIN active mode? I know it was good until I took the key fob out with me. This must be key fob day I was having challenges in my Chevy truck couldn't get it to start from the house then I remembered I'm only allowed two remote starts before I have to go out and do it manually. That's something I really appreciate here in Minnesota during the Spring blizzards 🥶

@@mnnomad1870 Glad to hear! It's pretty much the same as having your ignition switch on at that point. It'll stay on until it runs out of juice or you cut it off.
