@@duncananderson2113 I didn't noticed that. Yeah he is the stupidest villain in the whole franchise he just show up and become jealous of ben because he get attention & he doesn't.
Everyone knows that the worst enemy of Ben is Network. They managed to not only kill him slowly, but also reanimate to continue torturing. Now that's power
Unpopular opinion season 3 is my favorite alien force season but I do agree cartoon network is the real villain for canceling omniverse and making the 2016 reboot
In terms of Omniverse, my favorite villain has got to be Malware. His origin is unique from other Ben 10 villains, he's so much fun visually, is one of the only people who actually SCARES Ben, and Ben isn't actually his main target but he chooses to traumatize Ben anyway by killing Feedback right in front of him.
Malware is a fantastic character, he hates himself, and tries hard to be like others. He got tired of waiting and decided to go it alone, but when he realized that everything he does will not really cure him, he decided to try to make others think that he is superior to other mechamorfs, in a horrible way. However. He takes out his anger on Ben by taking away his favorite alien (for Ben the shape he always wants to be), because he has never been able to be like the others. He has a deep hatred for his father and tries in every way to eliminate him, even by allying himself with the most despicable people.
I do love the smack Ben gives Khyber in the Omniverse season 1 finale. Where Khyber brags that he is the best hunter in the universe, but it took him over 5 years to capture Ben. It took Vilgax 5 minutes to do that. And by this point Vilgax is just an annoyance and not the threatening villain he used to be. So Ben giving Vilgax some love is extremely funny.
I liked Khyber for his intelligence, like when he fought Rath and pulled the Hephestan Neuro Grip on him. That and I liked his moment when he kidnapped Ben for his little game, when Ben said "So if I live until sundown or something you'll let me go?" and Khyber was like "lol no, the hunt will end when you do"
I like how he truly showed off what he knows about hunting, if all the trophies in his ship aren’t a dead giveaway along with all the predator dna he got. He’s a pretty good villain.
His motivation is oddly refreshing too. He doesn’t want power, revenge or world domination, he’s just very passionate about his hobbies, bloody as they are.
@@brawmankerlexterminateurde860 he wasn’t that much of a Joke character until maybe when he met the slimebiote. Took him fairly seriously when he was working with psychobos and albedo
My headcanon for Vilgax's fear of Ma Vreedle was that she kicked his ass so badly when he was younger (like when he got the time bomb from Maltruant) that he became afraid of her.
Charmcaster should have been ultimate. Great and consistent character development, she battles with insanity which always makes her unpredictable as opposed to being that mustache-twirling villain troupe, and the only villain to ever successfully kill Ben, Gwen, and Kevin. If that alone doesn’t warrant ULTIMATE, I don’t know what does! Also Khyber should have been higher, not top tier but higher. He was intelligent, effective, and his motive was unique: he really, REALLY likes a good hunt.
@@zeratul____1228 While I don’t think Omniverse was the strongest writing for her, I do think it was a reasonable outcome. I’d rather her fall into insanity than just mope around and not be a threat anymore as UAF started to set up. Plus given the fact she has nothing now to work for, I’m sure villainy is the realistic next step, especially for the people who have always been against her, and her father “chose” them over her.
@@Henry-iz7iv or she takes it as a wake up call and after falling into a sort of depression she comes out of it with a new goal that isn't just villainy for the sake of it. She could have been an interesting anti hero.
@@zeratul____1228 Yeah that would have been cooler, but I’m okay with what we ultimately got. Unfortunately, Omniverse had a bit of a reputation for ruining characters, and at least she wasn’t like other characters… looking at Vilgax…
Rewatching the aggragore arc and I quite like him personally. Like I agree there's nothing deeper there with him as a character, but as a villain he is very effecent and threatening and I can respect that. Like he speaks very little but he lets his actions speak for him And the whole arc is very entertaining. I also like how he's entirely solo, no partners and no goons. He does everything by himself
Personally, I think the Tick should be on either Bad or Average tier simply due to how dangerous of a threat it was, and the fact that its defeat was the first time Ben and his family literally saved the world.
@@pjdianalan7934 force of nature villains are still cool. But..yeah at the very least he still could’ve had more animalistic reactions and behaviors and just sitting around and feeding.
absolutely love that you guys saw 776 as not being a villain. truthfully I consider him to be the best one in a vacuum, and I think your decision not to rank him was the best move. kudos.
19:56 A note about malware, I think he's pretty cool on bases that he is by technicality the only predator of Galvanic Mechamorphs Along with it starting off with him being just a corrupted Galvanic Mechamorph, he's a subspecies that starts and ends with him who's so goal is to just be a predator to a species he thought wasn't in any way on his level
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 he was going to leave in ultimate alien when he thought he was cured yet in omniverse he was somewhat freed and still got angry at ben
u guys are forgetting the reason he got turned into ben in the first place, hes envious of azmuth and wanted to prove himself smarter than him with a better omnitrix
@@schemar17 You haven’t watched Double or Nothing, right? Thing is, Albedo made a machine that can allow him to turn into aliens without the use of an Omnitrix, but because Ben interfered, Albedo can only transform into his aliens for a short time. Of course he’ll be mad, hence why he needed a stabilizer in Omniverse.
So to be fair to Enoch, he did have a very brief appearance in Ultimate Alien. When Old George rallied the Forever Knight factions to speak to the leaders, Enoch was there as the leader of his own faction. But that was literally like a few moments of screen time and no spoken lines and a slightly changed appearance to fit UA’s Style
Captain Nemisis had one good episode, that really made him out to be a real villain. Catching a falling star. Dude straight up kills a Doctor and manipulates Jennifer Nocturne into crime. Yeah omniverse kinda butchered this callous side to him but I really appreciate the story that he had in ultimate, it was surprisingly realistically evil, not rule the world just corrupt people around you sorta evil.
I've kind of mixed feelings about that episode like why the hell would Jennifer all of a sudden fall in love with nemesis? He literally tried to kill her before.
@@MrShadowSmith it either happens quickly or slowly. Slowly if their held captive long enough and begin having feelings for their captor. Or quickly right away.
The inktank Ben 10 Villains tier list: the only list where you can find a Newscaster ranked alongside a humanoid Rat, an Alien baby monster, 2 Wizards, and an Octopus-faced alien conqueror
Honestly you could say Animo stands the test of time in Ben 10 because he's essentially future proofed; he's a goofy baddie with a fun gimmick, which makes him extremely easy to apply to future iterations. In terms of consistent villains im 100% in agreement with Ash, I think Animo is easily the best one, mainly cuz to me it feels like he doesn't need all that much background to be engaging. I think an issue I have with a lot of Ben 10 villains is that they can feel pretty nebulous outside of being selfish and malicious..which is kind of why I don't like Vilgax that much. In Classic he definitely is effective with how simple he is, but I feel like considering his origin as an intergalactic warlord, there almost should be something more? Like he would be a perfect way to engineer conflict or learn more about the universe, but ultimately he's kind of just an isolated individual when compared to the rest of the universe. same could apply to Hex, but I think his redemption and even to an extent the variety of his schemes makes him more engaging to me. All in all, I'm positively thrilled to see this format back again; I loved it during the aliens video, and I love it here. I really hope you guys continue to do this more often cuz I feel like the chemistry between you two is so enjoyable to see in action. Hope all is and will continue to be well!
it makes his final appearance in Omniverse all the more bittersweet hearing him lament Max's retirement to the point I could see the 2 as buddies who like to talk or maybe even drink together (more the idea like drinking buddies, not really sure about actually drinking given both their conditions at the time)
I agree with you on the vilgax one ngl despite him being the most feared in the universe at the time I thought he would have like a whole empire behind his warlord name or having millions of planets full of people at his command instead of just flying around in some corny ship I mean it was there in alien force but that was just his home world
I am quite surprised, that you were so harsh with Captain Nemesis Yeah, in Omniverse he was nothing special, just a character for an "Avengers rip-off" gag, along side with Billy Billions and Kangaroo Commando. BUT... He was pretty decent in Ultimate alien. Heck, i can still remeber very distinctly the first episode with him. Sure, he is totally an Iron Man rip-off, but at the same time... he is a mirror reflection of Ben's personality. Just like him he wanted to be a hero and be seen as a hero, but he is very selfish and egoistic like Ben in his early days. He build an entire career on a single thought, that he is the hero. And another interesting idea about him is that Ben idealized him. And that is not a common for him. I really like, how Nemesis gets more and more frustrated with Ben and how he "steals his glory", that in the end he goes absolutely nuts. That moment, when Nemesis calls Ben and says "I got her" , and Ben immediately turns over and rides to him. And when he arrives, he doesn't even say his alien's name, and straight up goes Ultimate. You can guess, that this is the moment, where Nemesis crossed a line. Oh, sorry, i forgot, he is OVERLORD now. Ben fights him pretty brutally, if you ask me. And in the end Ben yells at him, until realising that fame and glory affects everyone, and Gwen and Kevin even call him out on that (and there was a subplot about it, but i can't really remember it fully, so yeah) And don't even let me start about that another episode with him and Jeniffer, come on. So, i believe, that he at the very least deserved "Average". Nothing special. He was also in the video game... yeah. But i have no other complaints... unlike the last time... So have a good day, and i hope you will get a little more apreciation for Captain Nemesis/OVERLORD (god, does anyone actually call him like that?) When you will get to him in UA breakdowns.
@@BumbleCrumble1072 Lex Luthor is the man who wants to be god/save the world in his own way. The best way to describe this is when he gets Superman’s powers, looses them and finally sees what Superman sees
The lack of Fistrick is disappointing. My favorite joke villain in all of Omniverse because there’s still a degree of menace even in Breakpoint, which is one of my favorite joke episodes of Omniverse.
I really appreciate the respect you guys gave towards Animo, and especially Malware. I know omniverse is controversial, but I’m sure even those who didn’t like it can agree that Malware was the one of the best things to come out of that series. Defiantly the best villain introduced in it.
Part of me wants to know how Attwaitya vs Ultimate Humungousaur could have gone without Aggregor interfering. Turtle boi about crapped his shell when he saw Ben go ultimate, then he gets hit by the missile barrage, and then he's all "Why don't you come over here and find out?" Such a waste.
I’m so glad that Malware got top-tier, he’s probably my favorite (if only because Corey Burton voices him and he’s my favorite voice actor, and I love his different looks, his powers, and how personal of an antagonist he is to both Ben and Azmuth). Vilgax, Charmcaster, Zs’Skayr, and Eon (the Omniverse version) would be the rest of my top 5 I think.
True, but then her last version did kind of trash her. Ultimate, not counting the unexplained motives and semi-fake crazy and the fact that her greatest feats are offscreen.
I think my favorite qualities of Vilgax would be his original series version mostly, but also having traits from his Ultimate/Alien Force version. Having a soft spot for his people to the point he is begrudgingly willing to work with his adversaries for their sake is nice in my eyes. Kinda like Frieza from DB, but if it he actually cared about something.
If you can hate the villain for their actions and not their personality/design, they are a good villain in my opinion. Classic Vilgax is a good villain for being so intimidating because you know he did some bad shit from onlyhearing a few lines from him and all the bad shit he did/tried to do and not cuz of his design cuz that changed many times and not even his Personality cuz that changed almost as much as many turns you need to win a chess game. Just i cant even explain well how much i love vilgax for being THE villain of classic ben.
Feel like Khyber was mostly carried by a solid concept (a hunter of all of Ben's aliens) & the Nemetrix, but he is the reason why Kevin gets an alien dog & is one of the consistent (serious) villains to Ben to deal with for several major villain group in Omniverse. The only real problem is that his character (writing wise) is to reliant on other characters for him to get involved, & we never see him evolve beyond his initial gimmick of a hunter of aliens. Well aside from the Pixie Dust scene. That was some weird stuff.
I mean, does he need to evolve past his hunter gimmick? It’s a villain motivation that has fairly unique in the setting and doesn’t become nonsensical. Breaking from that could be more of a character betrayal than anything else, like what they did to vilgax. It is true that khyber tends to be playing second fiddle to other baddies, but I don’t take him as a big bad setting effecting foe anyway.
@@GreaterGrievobeast55 That's True, they could have ruined him if he showed up to much. Plus by pairing him up with several of the main villains of the Omniverse Seasons, it does make him seem more dangerous. Its just... he feels a bit to much was copied from the dynamic Kravin has with Spider Man.
I'm surprised Billy Billions and Kangaroo Commando weren't on this list. I personally liked Captain Nemesis solely because of the scene where he says "Call me...OVERLORD!" and Ben replies "How about I call you a good therapist?" But I also find it really interesting how he manipulates the actress girl to get him out of prison and on the run, and his turn to villainy shows the dark side of heroism, and how easily someone who is only a hero for glory can turn. I feel like he had more potential as a foil for Ben that way, and I feel like he hits a bit as a too real villain in UAF (who got made more comical in OV, but I really like the Brainstorm vs Vengers fight, and how the Vengers were an obvious spoof of super-hero team-ups in other media).
One of the few things I like about Eon being an alt Ben is the juxtaposition. Prime Ben relies on Paradox & views on as a great ally but sadly only shows up when it’s very serious. Eon on the other hand despises Paradox & like you said has a rivalry with him. It’s also not a coincide that whenever he would show up Paradox would show up soon after. Kinda like a more serious version of Albedo & Ben.
I like that they didn't even have to discuss why Kevin's the best. But I feel I need to just explain why I love him. And the reason is because he's a kid. He's an evil kid, he's someone with power who decided "fuck the world, I woke up and chose violence". There's so many cases of great power and great responsibility in t.v. that watching a kid realize that he was born for the role of villain is so entertaining. Every time I watch him antagonize Ben it feels so good that when he appeared in Omniverse as a kid again it made me smile because they argue like two fucking brats all the time before going at it. And that's the reason I also like the reboot. I live for these two kids kicking eachother in the face while calling eachother names.
That is actually a pretty perfect explanation! He’s a sort of character that explains himself at least motive wise. A good reflection of how spoiled ben would be without a family to keep him honest, with a sort of look out for yourself strike back at the world mentality. Not in a sort of calcuated revenge sort of way, but from kevins first episodes, you can tell his upbringing was rough and he doesn’t have a direct point to pin it on so he just lashes out. Its all pretty close to perfect. Honestly a shame we never got to see his amalgam form again in the OG series once he was in the null void.
As a child I actually didn't like Animo because I thought he was a loser so when I saw him become D'void and take over the Null Void, I thought that was the coolest shit ever. To me he got a crazy glow-up. As an adult I've gained an appreciation for his classic goofiness but I still like both iterations.
Honestly I love both him and him as D'void only cause I like to imagine D'void was his mid life crisis and he just went "Oh well back to mutating frogs" once he lost

There are a lot missing like Gorvan , Thunderpig , Liam , Bubble helmet , Tummy head , Subdora , Exoskull , Fistrick , Kangaroo Commander , Billy Billions , Master Kundo and a few more
Was thinking of commenting this! I love Fistrick, Kundo, and Fistina (missed her in the last but it’s all good) and even Liam and Bubble helmet are good at being goofy. Honestly though, Omniverse villains just need their own tier list with how all over the place they are.
@@josiahdensby2053 For me personally F#$% Billy Billions,in a series with villains as awesome as Vilgax,Animo and Albedo we have this spoiled little brat. When I did a ranking of fictional villains from each franchise I like he was F. I enjoyed a Majority of Omniverse Villains but Billy had no right being in thr show. I HATE HIM
Did you guys forget the “Catch a Falling Star” episode? Captain Nemesis has to be higher on that list for the episode that showed the most realistic and messed up depiction of a villain in the entire franchise
I'm not gonna lie going only off ultimate alien he was in the darkest episode of the series I would put him in excellent but omniverse messed him up to me so he goes to average for me
personal list: 1. *Albedo* is pretty much my favorite twist on the evil twin character! He’s his own person that just happens to still have a opposite personality of ben, instead of just made that way. He had a lot of influence on the series by adding that ultimatrix feature (which I think he uses really well) and he both a cool threat but has enough developed character that you can feel sorry for him even if most of the stuff that happens to him is his fault. 2: *Malware* a cool perversion of one of bens aliens and a really awesome design! truamatizing ben by killing feedback was really scary and I think his dymamic as azmuths failed creation is engaging. My favorite of the Big boss villains I think. 3: *Z’skayr* being a traitorous alien of the watch is really cool! The fact he was once a tyrant within the anur system is also neat! Of all the villains that have been in every one of the old series I think he’s been the most consistently cool! HONARARY: *The Highbreed* as a whole faction are the best antagonist of the series in my opinion! Like a creepier version of the daleks but with a better message of the consequences of purity. Each one that appeared was cool, and the fact that they didn’t have a main leader to stop and fix everything felt a bit more realistic. After vid: HELL YEAH ALBEDO GOT AN ULTIMATE SPOT! OH THANK GOODNESS YOU DON’T LIKE AGGREGOR EITHER! I thought I was the only one that man is so bland it hurts! His motives, hid design. He’s just a walking plot convenience and it just gets so repetitive. I think you made the right call with vilgax if you take all his versions into account, og series was definetly the best but alien force weighs him down just a touch. Dagon, was basically the villain that introduced to eldritch horror. And even though he isn’t that scary I think he makes for a pretty interesting menace and cool battle. I wish he looked more like a dragon though! I think the werewolf and mummy deserve and average spot. They are just monsters, but there very well don monster and sometimes the show needs that sort of villain.
@@srstriker6420 interesting scenario! Though a little hard to imagine as even devil hulk had his own sense of justice. Ghost freak doesn’t seem to have a good bone in his intangible body. If he ever did get stuck in the watch again maybe he could teach ben a thing or two about politics pfft!
Honestly I am thankful that you guys put ghostfreak in ultimate coz he scared the living shit out of me when I was little during the classic series and it's even one of those villains that kept showing up during every series so it definitely got some extra points for the nostalgia or...in my case childhood fear.
Literally the only reason Nemesis deserves to be higher than terrible is because of that one episode were they decided to go full dark. But then they do a hard reboot of him in Omniverse and completely remove any potential character.
I really wanna see a ranking for side characters, and I can absolutely agree with the list, just wish vilgax was higher but hey, Enjoyed it none the less!
I feel forever king could have been such a good villain in the os series had we got more of him as the man in the shadows. Like imagine after amino got beaten by ditto, forever knight paid his bail or something exchange that he helps him.
22:59 The Ragnarok episode was pretty good when you think about Kevin's character arc. How it helped contextualize Kevin's decision to join Ben's team and protect the Earth. Allowing Kevin a moment to be a hero on his own terms by refusing to save Ragnarok. The way Ragnarok easily handles Ben, Gwen, and Kevin every time they fight. That episode was a part of the buildup for the end of Alien Force for a good reason. _It'd be a real shame if there was some sort of story arc that completely undermines and invalidates the entire thing._ 25:28 The problem with Servantis is that he is tied to the Rooters Arc, and the more you think about that arc, the less sense it makes; which for a story that is trying to undo confusing retcons, is pretty terrible. Okay, so he wiped Kevin's mind of being used to make the Amalgam Kids and gave Max false memories to get him to keep an eye on Kevin in case he tried to do this scheme again. Few questions: -Why did he need to make Kevin and Max think the former was a part of an alien species? If you just had Devin Levin be a mutant, nothing changes about the story. -How do you explain the picture of Devin that Kevin's Mom has? -If Servantis planted it, why did he also make the frame the key to Ragnarok's ship which would absorb the sun's energy, thus dooming the planet. -Speaking of, how does Ragnarok fit into all this? It's said on the wiki that he's a member of the Rooters, but why would Servantis work with someone who's threatening the Earth and possibly the universe? He completely goes against Servantis's motivation. -If Servantis was so scared of Ben using the Omnitrix, why didn't he just steal it when Ben took it off for five years? It's implied he knew about it, hence why he hadn't attacked Ben sooner. -How many people's memory did Servantis need to alter? What would happen if Kevin's Mother talked to her family about her, 'late husband,' or if Max can't find Devin's files or talked with another Plumber about him? -If he faked the files, how come no other Plumber noticed they were fake? -Where did Alan get his Plumber badge if his father was never a Plumber? -What about Aggregor? It's stated on the wiki that the original idea was for Aggregor to be a clone of Kevin, but the show never addresses this. Furthermore, he talks about Osmosian laws. Why would Servantis make him think he's a part of a fake species? If he abandoned the idea when Ben took off the Omnitrix, why didn't he just kill Aggregor? -If Osmossians are fake, why do Azmuth, Paradox, and even the Weapon Masters treat them like they're real? Huh, wow, exactly 10 plotholes. That's impressive.
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 blaming them every time theirs a plot inconsistency does not fix botched parts of the story. It just makes me hate celestapiens more for messing things up!
Vilgax and Ziskar scared the actual crap out of me as a little kid in the original, but Ziskar was the one that my fear was reignited for when he came back in the later series
The damn "It Was Me Kevin" part made me laugh 🤣 I wasn't even expecting him to do that little meme, but I kinda agree with this list, the ones in damn Ultimate really are kinda terrifying and also pretty strong 😅
My personal headcanon for aligning both versions of Eon is that he was stuck in a time loop, where at the start he was a Chronian, and everything about that backstory was true. But he gets caught in a loop because when he succeeds in taking Ben's body, he eventually wears it down again, and instead of looking for a new solution he just steps into the place of his past self, since he knows that plan works and he can get a new body out of it. But the result is that with each new loop, we get an Eon who is a little more Ben. So in one timeline the loop is broken when Ben breaks free of his control (like we see in the movie) but in another timeline the loop goes on for so long that we eventually get a being that is a hybrid of the two, aka the Eon we meet in UAF who sees himself as a version of Ben 10.
Overall, this was another really fun ranking video. I think the only one I'd really disagree with was Elena Validus. I really like her as a villain. In terms of female Ben 10 villains, she's not up there with Charmcaster or Attea, and her being a villain sorta comes out of nowhere, but I remember really being shocked by the twist in The Perfect Girlfriend, so I'd put her in Excellent.
I never liked attea. She seems like a not so intimidating version of milleous. Also, how tf can she go toe to toe with ben's top tier hand to hand fighters??? Guess bullfrag is his true most powerful alien.
the character motivations of villains like, ma vreedil, volcanus, and albedo in the theater episode always fascinate me. Just them doing their own thing, not even necessarily being evil all the time
I’m conflicted design wise! Personally the upside down head is really iconic for me, but the hood does look cool I have to admit. Personality wise I think he works excellently! Theres always a sense of control of calmness to him, even when in dangerous situations that actually stands out more than his rageful bouts in the OG. the part where he stops his minions from attacking charm caster just to be amused by her rant was great, him ragdolling lord transyl also cool!
I know this is such a hot take but I love warlord vilgax from alien force, they fleshed him out with the ghost freak episode and he was still intimidating and powerful like in the classic series (he literally one shots humgousaur). I think he deserves more love.
I think he could've been done better. He makes too many quips and if it was explained that he became less angry after winning so much and less arrogant than his younger classic self, it'd make sense. But he should still be evil. The pieces were there and the design was iconic. He'd be the kind of guy to say "Fine. I'll grant you a merciful death." Then again the one quip I love from him is "Mercy? Never heard of it." Other than that, his quips are cheesy and bad
I really wish they had Aggregor show up in Omniverse, like sure he dies or something or whatever he was just a big bad, but like it was cut out that he was created by the rooters, which you, however you go with retcons, could have been very interesting to at least witness a flashback, or give some further backstory than “power make me powerful”
26:55 I love the idea. A lot of times in media when it comes to aliens certain species look the same minus sex, hair, and occasionally body types. So Kolar being a blue just because that's what he looks like is a cool idea in my opinion
Darkstar is the best for me. The guy is diabolical through and through, and has a power capable of taking out anyone he faces. (Anyone that isn’t magic anyway) Vilgax shined in the classic series, was a force to be reckoned with. But he didn’t do much after that
my thoughts on Ma Vreedle and why Vilgax fears her: Her reach: She has countless children and who knows how many galaxies she might have in her reach so angering her would make anything more difficult
I'm surprised you placed Malware on Ultimate, just because he's a cool villain and the one that made Ben remove the omnitrix. Also the Ma Vreedle Ex theory that kuro made, really cracked me up.
the only thing i’d change would be to put vilgax in ultimate. this is my opinion but he’s like THE bad guy of the whole series, just about. aside from that, i completely agree with your ranking
Vilgax coming showing up out of nowhere in the middle of an episode, boasting about his new plan to destroy Ben, seeing Ma Vreedle there, and just immediately packing up and leaving was a hilarious joke. Unfortunately, the Omniverse writers didn't seem to be able to tell when a joke causes more harm than good. If it was funny they just chucked it in there. I think the best thing to do with that particular scene, is just not worry about the implications. After all, the writers obviously didn't.
Honestly, I believe charmcaster is the best villain, if for nothing else but consistency. Except for the episode after the aggregor arc, she never feels out of character
I used to love Aggregor, but after rewatching Ultimate, he started to get annoying to me, because of how much he won merely thanks to ''the plot needs him to win''. Forget the Omnitrix or Ascalon, the ultimate weapon in the universe is his spear, there wasn't a single character that thing couldn't beat, and he almost killed Ben with it. I kinda wish instead of ''spear beam I win'' they focused more on the powers he stole from across the galaxy, like they did in his Escape from Aggregor (Maybe show that his ship has even more prisoners whom he uses as quick power ups depending on his current objectives). And after becoming Ultimate Aggregor, while it made more sense for him to win, him being absolutely unbeatable didn't, and most times it was explained with him using powers of the Andromeda aliens that we never saw before or again from either those five or Ben's forms (Galapegus' invulnerability to magic, Bivalvan's tough shell withstanding ridiculously strong attacks). So he felt less like a compelling villain and more like everyone was fighting the script itself, because the endgoal needed to be ''he couldn't be beaten so Kevin absorbed energy to stop him''.
I do enjoy agreggor conceptually, but man, the fights with him were pretty stupid aside from "escape from agreggor" and the humungosaur fight. Ben becoming an electric alien KNOWING the guy was chasing an electric alien was just so dumb. And then Ben just gets stomped when fighting him in the forge of creation, but then Kevin casually stomps him? It made no sense. The ultimate fight between him and Kevin should've also been much better.
If you like non-linear storytelling. I'd absolutely recommend "Memento"! One of Christopher Nolan's first films where it's a murder mystery literally told backwards1
@@Shinobi_Master Pretty sure "wiping someone out of existence" counts as killing them. Assuming there's some kind of afterlife in the Ben 10 Universe, which I'm not 100% sure was ever confirmed, wiping them from existence is basically killing them even harder than just killing them the regular way.
@@HunterStiles651 not so sure about that, cause with death, you're physical body is dead, but you still exist as a soul (as well as your physical body still existing, but as a lifeless corpse, unless it's completely destroyed) and if I remember correctly, the episode where charmcaster kills them shows their souls getting sucked into the machine. but with existence erasure, not even your soul exists anymore. I think that's the difference.
I can agree with the sentiment about vilgax versus Aggregor for me I preferred Vilgax but I think that’s because Vilgax had the aesthetic as well as he was introduced early enough in the series to where he felt like a threat he was bigger than Ben he looked fairly alien but still human enough to strike fear in you As well as he got a lot of shit done showing that he could affect the world around him I think that made him pretty good meanwhile the other guy just didn’t have all that
I think I also helps to think about how active each where. Both of them hunt down mcguffins, but where aggregor just seems to hop into the plot out of no where to snatch the infinity map or an andromeda alien, Vilgax goes after ben and the watch the moment he’s physically able in the og series. It also feels more personal which ben and vilgax where aggregor can’t even be bothered by the cast half the time.
Great video as always😎 Btw I had an idea! What if you guys did a tier list for all returning characters? Not every single character right, cause that’d be boring, but people like Gwen, Max, Kevin(as a friend), Rook, Magister Pataliday, Kai, Blukic and Driba, etc. I think It’d be cool to see your guys’ opinions on everyone.🙌🏻
In my personal headcanon, the Vilgax we see run away from Ma Vreedle was actually Psyphon. Like he was just pretending to be Vilgax and was wearing one of those masks from alien force that change your appearance. My idea was that he tried to take earth on behalf of Vilgax to try and win his favor, but then got scared away by Ma Vreedle.
Let's face it Vilgax got a nerd every single arc he was in after the original Ben ten. If you took omniverse Vilgax and put him in the original show he would get dominated so easily.
I'm so damn glad Darkstar got Ultimate. He's definitely my favourite villain in the entire franchise. Love him so much. and his debut episode is my favourite in Alien Force, his theme is incredible, his power is awesome, his design, especially as Michael, is really cool. Such a damn good character
Awesome! You guys are now ranking the villains. Cool! I hope in one of your future videos you’ll interview voice actors from Ben 10 like Steve Blum, Richard McGonagle, Richard Horvitz, Yuri Lowenthal, and perhaps Jim Ward (while he can still remember things maybe you can interview him in the home he’s staying in).
As someone who grew up with classic ben ten and watching the other 3 shows basically for the first time has been a journey I wish I hadn't stopped watching ben ten when I did but otherwise I'm also kinda glad because I think experiencing the other 3 shows for the first time almost is really cool. I think if I had kept up with Ben ten and watched like every episode growing up of the 4 shows I think the nostalgia test would have been hard to judge them by but as far as the classic series goes it does hold up very nicely its not perfect but it paved the way for the franchise and I'm happy about that.
Honestly I agree with putting Vilgax as Excellent. I remember watching classic as a kid and seeing him as a real threat to the Tennyson’s but then as the series when on and the lack luster character development he got and the stupid anti-climactic way he was defeated in UA really made him a joke for me, and not even because Ben got better at using the omnitrix…he just felt so much worse than when he was introduced. I do appreciate though how even with the power given to him by Dagon he was still strong enough to be Vilgax with Vilgax motives and characteristics rather than just a slave of Dagon’s whim.
Afraid I have to disagree with the point of Hope's redemption arc. They destroyed it after she chose to stay behind in Ledgerdomain... Yeah, she is a "top tier" "villain" but the rest of everything I partly disagree with. They made her "crazy" for other (speculated yet kind of obvious) reasons.
I'd say that these villains were put in fair tiers. 👍 Also, where's that one villain that Rath threatened to jump down his throat and knit his intestines into a sweater? This "villain" was named Jarett, the king of the Pantophage. Which tier would he be placed in?
My greatest problem with Addwaitya is not necessarily with him but the whole species of Terraspin it is so goddamn inconsistent: a) They are immune to magic as said in the first encounter b) Ben could have used this advantage multiple times but he did not, like when he said he has the "perfect alien against magic" and used Humungosaur... c) The master magician is part of this species, which sounds paradoxical to me
See, I was so fascinated by that last point at first because I figured that's why he was able to become the ruler of Legerdemain, since none of the inhabitants would be a threat to him. It kinda just made sense to me that spells cast by himself on himself would still work, just due to the fact he'd be manipulating his own mana.
Eon in 5YL is excellent in my opinion. Because everything about him is still technically the same but you’ve improved him so so much. Speaks to your writing ability man. Props
I only have one word: Fistrick One of the better joke villains from omniverse, and he's not here but the goddam DNAliens and the Big Tick and the road crew are here.
The only things I would disagree with is I would put Ragnarok and Conduit in at least Average because to me Ragnarok's history with Kevin and his father held my interest and I'm glad he was only in one episode since that was all he needed. I would put Edwards up as well since I think he and the forever knights are basically equal. I'd also put Darkstar in excellent because he felt too repetitive, like he was doing the same thing in every episode.
@@megabladechronicles962 The rooters arc is in a weird spot. On its own it is a great arc, but it tried to retcon Kevins entire backstory and failed because of Ragnarok. I feel like they could've had it both ways. Kevins birth father could still be Delvin but get rid of the whole " Osmosians are aliens" bit from UAF. Just give a reason as to why he [Kevin] ran away from home as a kid (combination of his step dad and his abilities maybe) and it would've been fine imo.

His origin is unique from other Ben 10 villains, he's so much fun visually, is one of the only people who actually SCARES Ben, and Ben isn't actually his main target but he chooses to traumatize Ben anyway by killing Feedback right in front of him.
also he seems very original villain, cuz charmcaster, vilgax feel like wanda and thanos to me.
I think Vilgax is more Darkseid than Thanos, but Malware is a good villain and he's the reason why I hate him because of him killing Feedback

So Ben giving Vilgax some love is extremely funny.
true
It technically took vilgax what? Centuries to get ben? Considering the incident with George Washington.
Technically that incident made him want to go after the Omnitrix not Ben himself
An annoyance...
Until the Malgax episode.
Agreed when it comes to Malgax that was a terrifying

Not that dark star isn’t cool, but I’d think charm caster deserves ultimate more than him.

@@zeratul____1228 While I don’t think Omniverse was the strongest writing for her, I do think it was a reasonable outcome. I mean, J Jonah Jameson is along the level of iconic as the Sinister Six.

Amazing run down dude. I agree completely
What do you think about Ghostfreak, Dr Victor, Forever Knights and the Negative 10?
it makes his final appearance in Omniverse all the more bittersweet hearing him lament Max's retirement to the point I could see the 2 as buddies who like to talk or maybe even drink together (more the idea like drinking buddies, not really sure about actually drinking given both their conditions at the time)
@@Xeno-The-Wanderer or that he has developed some respect to the Tennysons
I agree with you on the vilgax one ngl despite him being the most feared in the universe at the time I thought he would have like a whole empire behind his warlord name or having millions of planets full of people at his command instead of just flying around in some corny ship I mean it was there in alien force but that was just his home world
I am quite surprised, that you were so harsh with Captain Nemesis
Yeah, in Omniverse he was nothing special, just a character for an "Avengers rip-off" gag, along side with Billy Billions and Kangaroo Commando.
And in the end Ben yells at him, until realising that fame and glory affects everyone, and Gwen and Kevin even call him out on that (and there was a subplot about it, but i can't really remember it fully, so yeah)
And don't even let me start about that another episode with him and Jeniffer, come on.

Agreed classic vilgax is classic
Bens always needed master control or some sort of quick change feature to fight him.
I live for these two kids kicking eachother in the face while calling eachother names.
exactly how I feel about Kevin
That is actually a pretty perfect explanation! He’s a sort of character that explains himself at least motive wise. A good reflection of how spoiled ben would be without a family to keep him honest, with a sort of look out for yourself strike back at the world mentality. Not in a sort of calcuated revenge sort of way, but from kevins first episodes, you can tell his upbringing was rough and he doesn’t have a direct point to pin it on so he just lashes out. Its all pretty close to perfect. Honestly a shame we never got to see his amalgam form again in the OG series once he was in the null void.

After vid:
HELL YEAH ALBEDO GOT AN ULTIMATE SPOT!
Actually I would see Ghostfreak and Ben could’ve had a symbiotic relationship like Bruce Banner and the Devil Hulk from the immortal hulk comics

I’d like to think she hurt vilgax before he was the big threat that he is now , and who knows maybe that’s what pushed him to be an unstoppable force
I feel forever king could have been such a good villain in the os series had we got more of him as the man in the shadows. Like imagine after amino got beaten by ditto, forever knight paid his bail or something exchange that he helps him.

Yeah the alternate reality created by Gwen's time travelling
22:59 The Ragnarok episode was pretty good when you think about Kevin's character arc. How it helped contextualize Kevin's decision to join Ben's team and protect the Earth. Allowing Kevin a moment to be a hero on his own terms by refusing to save Ragnarok. The way Ragnarok easily handles Ben, Gwen, and Kevin every time they fight. That episode was a part of the buildup for the end of Alien Force for a good reason.
_It'd be a real shame if there was some sort of story arc that completely undermines and invalidates the entire thing._
25:28 The problem with Servantis is that he is tied to the Rooters Arc, and the more you think about that arc, the less sense it makes; which for a story that is trying to undo confusing retcons, is pretty terrible. Okay, so he wiped Kevin's mind of being used to make the Amalgam Kids and gave Max false memories to get him to keep an eye on Kevin in case he tried to do this scheme again. Few questions:
-Why did he need to make Kevin and Max think the former was a part of an alien species?
That's impressive.
damn
Yeah and what would Servantis try to gain out of Ragnarok?
One answer: Celestialsapiens. They just prioritized the retconning of his backstory greater than the preservation of the Omniverse from cosmic beings.
Just blame the damn celestial sapiens
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 blaming them every time theirs a plot inconsistency does not fix botched parts of the story. It just makes me hate celestapiens more for messing things up!
Vilgax and Ziskar scared the actual crap out of me as a little kid in the original, but Ziskar was the one that my fear was reignited for when he came back in the later series
Kevin 11 was such an awesome villain, that is, of course, until he became a good guy in Alien Force.
Then his status elevated to one of the best characters in the entire franchise.
I see this as an absolute win.

My head cannon as well
Fun fact: Inspector 13 is actually based on Professor Chang from Teen Titans 2003, because of the design.

I wish they did more with her
I never liked attea.
Just them doing their own thing, not even necessarily being evil all the time
Same here
Tbh, ghostfreak's story and design is so unique and dope, he's my favorite villain🤷🏽♂️
Mine too
I prefer omniverse zs'skayr, it's a cool design.
Was that the explanation, or was he just retconed out?
I think the whole Rooters arc ruined both him and Kevin. Too many lore changes.
Id only to see him redesigned maybe, I just think he’s a really boring character so he wasn’t missed on my end.
@@nicholase82 yeah because was he supposed to be a clone of Kevin or something?
@@srstriker6420 He was supposed to be the same species from where Kevin gets his power to absorb things. But in Omnivserse Kevin was just a medahuman.
Charmcastr is gwens archenemy and even has a sympathic backstory.
(Anyone that isn’t magic anyway)
Vilgax shined in the classic series, was a force to be reckoned with. But he didn’t do much after that
He's handsome though.
my thoughts on Ma Vreedle and why Vilgax fears her:
Her reach: She has countless children and who knows how many galaxies she might have in her reach so angering her would make anything more difficult
I'm surprised you placed Malware on Ultimate, just because he's a cool villain and the one that made Ben remove the omnitrix. Also the Ma Vreedle Ex theory that kuro made, really cracked me up.
Captain Nemesis deserves a bump up for being the most realistic threat, at least in that one episode.
the only thing i’d change would be to put vilgax in ultimate. this is my opinion but he’s like THE bad guy of the whole series, just about. aside from that, i completely agree with your ranking
I just perceive as young vilgax got his ass whooped by ma vreedle
Creo que simplemente los escritores ya no sabían que hacer con vilgax así que lo volvieron una broma

4:00 You can see kuro's heartbreaking at this scene 😂😂😂😂
My favorite moment lol
Captain Nemesis has some awesome episodes like to catch a falling star. Honestly one of the most interesting vilains in UAF for me.
Ash’s Animo impression never fails to make me laugh. 🤣
If you like non-linear storytelling. I'd absolutely recommend "Memento"! One of Christopher Nolan's first films where it's a murder mystery literally told backwards1
In my opinion, villains like maltruant, Khyber, eon, and servantis I like as much whether or not been given more screen time or more development.
26:57 i am SO on board with this idea bc it implies the existence of purple tetramants
Black and white makes neutral gray. Does neutral gray people exist?
I'd put Charmcaster in Ultimate because she was the only one to actually kill the trio
That's dark like DANG she also brought em back
Cuz her dad
Vilgax also killed them with the Chronosapian Time Bomb (or wipe them out of existence, idk anymore, but if it's the latter, then you're right).
I love charmcaster her and hex are ultimate to me
@@HunterStiles651 not so sure about that, cause with death, you're physical body is dead, but you still exist as a soul (as well as your physical body still existing, but as a lifeless corpse, unless it's completely destroyed) and if I remember correctly, the episode where charmcaster kills them shows their souls getting sucked into the machine. but with existence erasure, not even your soul exists anymore.
Great video as always😎
Btw I had an idea!
I gotta give props to Kuro and Ash for not bringing up the Kevin retcon when they were talking about Servantis and judging him as his own thing.
"Oh yes, I'm, I'm fucking scary"
I don't know why, but I love that line.
If you took omniverse Vilgax and put him in the original show he would get dominated so easily.
he went from conquering and destroying planets to being afraid of a karen.
@@curtisleblanc5897 But in Omniverse Vilgax destroyed the multiverse!

Also, where's that one villain that Rath threatened to jump down his throat and knit his intestines into a sweater? This "villain" was named Jarett, the king of the Pantophage.
Which tier would he be placed in?
My greatest problem with Addwaitya is not necessarily with him but the whole species of Terraspin
it is so goddamn inconsistent:
a) They are immune to magic as said in the first encounter
b) Ben could have used this advantage multiple times but he did not, like when he said he has the "perfect alien against magic" and used Humungosaur...
c) The master magician is part of this species, which sounds paradoxical to me
See, I was so fascinated by that last point at first because I figured that's why he was able to become the ruler of Legerdemain, since none of the inhabitants would be a threat to him.
Props
I really wish they continued the Charmcaster redemption and make her into a kind of anti-hero or half villain character
NO
I’m actually intrigued to see you guys do a reboot tier list of some kind. Would be very interesting.
