The "Jailbreak" video uploaded yesterday was killer and so is this. Love Gary Moore's solo! Please post everything in your vaults from this Thin Lizzy performance! Thanks!
This was Thin Lizzy at the top of their game... Brian Robertson wasn't able to appear for the show as many fans know he had hurt his hand badly during a fight in a pub so here we get treated to one of Ireland's best guitar players the great Gary Moore.... he is sadly missed...
So cool seeing Gary up there playing Greenie with them. That Les Paul has some serious history. Started with Peter Green in early Fleetwood Mac, then Gary played it until he passed and now it's owned and played by Kirk Hammett.
@@nickschultz3259 yes it is. Greeny was Gary's main guitar from the time he bought it until 2006, when it was sold. Then he used Stripe mainly until he passed. It's easy to see that the neck and bridge V/T controls don't match on that guitar. Plus you can see the finish worn away under the bridge p/u. Greeny.
My older brother took me to see Queen but I knew Thin Lizzy was opening but never saw them live and they blew him and me away! He was just stunned after the show.
What I love about this band is even with the excellent and hard sound of the band, the lead singers voice comes through. It stays center front of the total sound. That is hard to do and it just gives this band a unique sound.
Great guitarists, a thumping rythm section and a truly charismatic singing frontman with fantastic songs made this band. Glad we have a record of how unique they were.❤
I remember when I was 19 riding around in my white 1976 ford f100 blasting thin lizzy as loud as I could. I'm 62 and still blast this great music. LOVE THIS BAND! 😢

My favourite band. Love it. They also played Dancing in the moonlight and bad reputation on another visit to the midnight special. That would be a superb upload. Yours hopefully
