    Pretty roses. I made paper flowers in February that I spray painted metallic silver KRYLON brand and the smell lingered on . It might be because of the cold affecting the drying process . I am in Atlanta, Ga and we too have had some really cold weather lately .

      I don't notice it unless I get really close. Unfortunately paint will never smell like roses😀

    Hi there, how are the textures of the flowers after being sprayed? I tried to hand paint my orchids with acrylic gold metalic paint as well as gold fabric metalic spray paint and it turned the flower almost paper like which is not good. It looks nice, but it also can't feel like paper because I am making these into hair flower clips and I don't want people saying it feels like paper or feels hard. I want want texture to stay soft.. Any tips of keeping the fabric of the flower soft when using metalic paint? I even tried mixing the metalic gold paint with water but the color did not look rich enough. Thanks

    Hey Sarah ! Love this idea :) Did you find the paint left residue on your skin after touching them (once paint had dried) and did the smell go away eventually? I am thinking about making this as a gift for someone. Thanks

    • @Everydaystarlet
      @Everydaystarlet  5 лет назад

      I didn't find there was residue, but the smell never really goes away

    • @melissaosman3780

      Do you think if you used some regular paint and glitter mixed with a brush it could possibly smell less? Only thing is it probably won't be as glam.

    I have a jacket with a golden zipper, can I use this tutorial to turn it Silver?

    • @Everydaystarlet
      @Everydaystarlet  4 года назад

      I'm not sure how the paint will work on a zipper. Zippers get a lot of wear and you would have to be very careful not to get the paint on the jacket itself... plus I'm not sure if the paint is washable. I don't think this tutorial would be helpful for your specific DIY

    Hey, love your video, I sprayed some flowers about a week ago but they’re really drying out and slightly crippling like raisins, does it matter what spray you use? 😋

    • @Everydaystarlet
      @Everydaystarlet  6 лет назад +1

      Did you use fake roses? I don't know how well real roses would work with this method

    How long did it take for the smell to disperse? I’m thinking of doing this for my boyfriend, but I don’t want to stink up his house hahaha

    • @Everydaystarlet
      @Everydaystarlet  2 года назад

      The flowers themselves will smell like paint for a while but not enough to smell up a room. I would spray them and keep them in a well ventilated area for a week or so to be sure

    Can we follow this procedure for real roses?

    • @Everydaystarlet
      @Everydaystarlet  3 года назад +1

      I’m not sure, I haven’t tried with real rose, but unless they are specially treated real roses won’t last very long painted

    To keep the roses from touching while hanging.. maybe a drop or two of hot glue on the hanger to space them out may help
