I have a beautiful artificial flower wreath on my front door that I purchased from Etsy, it was around $250. I've noticed it's already started to fade and so I'm going to try to touch it up and brighten up the colors by painting them! Thank you so much for this excellent tutorial. I have so many faded silk flower arrangements and was ready to trash them for new ones. Thanks so much for this great idea! I also ordered one of those paint can sprayers attachments to try out. 😊

I'm colouring flowers, this a good tutorial, Thank you. Just a little share, when I mix acrylic paint I use a small cappuccino whisk from Ikea, they are cheap and really handy. You will get bubbles which a few blasts with a heat gun will get rid of. 🌷

Thank you for this video. It was very helpful. I looked for the spray paint holder on search function on Home Depot’s site and they pulled up all of the pro ones- LOL. I always pass these faux flowers in the UK Pound Stores but after watching tutorials I realised you can buy these cheap faux flowers and glam them up very easily. I'm going to buy some bunches and order done spray paints. I think I will stick with spraying them as they dry alot quicker. Nice video they turned out real pretty but I would of added silver glitter to the grey that would really glam them up👏

I love that you did not paint all your flowers gray/silver and left some white. The white and gray combo looked high end and gave the overall look some added dimension. From my own experience playing around with spray paints, I find that spraying the centers with a lighter, non-metallic color and then spraying the edges with metallics give silk flowers very interesting depths of color.

I’ve seen on Lulu Saphire RUclips site... she sprayed painted two-three colors.. then sprayed glue.. sprinkled glitter on edges of flowers... was beautiful.

In the video about painting the silk flowers, at the end you said "stay tuned to see what I am going to do with these gray/black flowers in another video" but you have not posted what you ended up doing with the painted flowers. Maybe something to do with the hint of the grey chair shaped like a high heeled shoe maybe?

@@livewrightnow that’s okay I ended up finding one that works for acrylic painted flowers. It’s called Krylon UV-RESISTANT clear matte spray paint. It’s to seal acrylic paint and is also weather proof. They sell it at hobby lobby and Michael’s craft store. It comes in Matte or Gloss. Doesn’t have a strong scent either when dried. I did a few coats on my painted flowers and soaked them in water. No acrylic paint leaked from the flowers. So far it’s worked! Thank you for a beautiful video and for replying 🥰

@@livewrightnow no problem! The flowers I painted are for day of the dead and will be placed at my father’s headstone. Which was why I needed something to protect the flowers outdoors and for inclement weather. I was told this should protect the flowers from fading, but should periodically spray them every year to make them last longer. ♥️
About how long does it take these flowers to dry
I let them dry overnight
How do you get the spray paint smell out?
The smells goes away once it drys, tfw😊
