I can’t believe as big of a Van Halen fan as I have been that I never dove into this band that deep. This music is so pure, Sammy’s vocals flawless, MA backing vocals perfect! Chad on the drums making it groovy, and satch coming in with that first solo and just KILLING IT! I can’t like this enough! IMO this is music at its best, this shit blows away what we hear on the radio today
I'll tell ya', it's really great to see Sammy and Michael back in a band together again...and to see Joe in a real rock band is fantastic. They sound amazing together ... stick together guy's, you will make history !

Yeah, it's impossible to pick out Satch's vocals but you can tell somebody else is in there and that's prolly the sound they're after. He's just there to blend. At any rate, I think it works well. This is the BEST combo of musicians together in a long time. Great tunes, love listening, watching them play. Hard to believe Sammy is 64 and is still rockin his ass off! Say what you will or want, we would all take his life at that age. Sells 80% of his tequila company for $80 million. What he touches turns to gold! And he seems to be healthy and happy! Rock on Sammy, keep this band going strong!

I agree, watching Joe 'sing' is amusing but more than that, I dig how they are all having a great time, especially Mike after putting up with Eddie's garbage for so long, he deserves it. Hmmm, and Sammy, in his mid 60's really delivers. Hell, all of them do. Joe's tone? His amps are modified as are his pedals but the sound guys dial it all in.
It would be cool if Chad Smith would team up with Eddie VH. He's such a power house of a drummer and Eddie's ingenuity in terms of rhythm guitar playing and Flea on the bass and David Coverdale as a singer, what a dream
On my taste Mike is by far best bass player / backup vocalist there ever was. He Chad and Sammy keep this together Satch souds out of his world and pretty much everyone who has skills even a little could play his part. Mike rocks and this song is great :)

@MrTomRocha I'm not sure how you could not know the rest of the band. It's an all-star band. Van Halen minus the Van Halen brothers and the beat of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and of coarse Satch.
@aeromorello17 It's funny, but Joe actually does provide backup vocals in this show. He just sings so softly that you'd never know he was singing underneath how strong Sammy and Mikey sing.
Te real heir to hendrix (in my opinion) was stevie ray, but when he died, joe became my favorite guitar player. BTW sammie's not a bad guitarist himself.

@dockaiser Eddie definitely was one of the most influential and innovating guitar players of guitar history. It's a real shame that he hasn't done anything since Van Halen III. Another potential reason Sammy would give Joe the nod (even though I feel he does deserve it, I think he's the heir to Hendrix) is that Sammy might still be a bit perturbed with him about how he treated Mikey and acted in the studio. You seem like a cool guy and I can respect your opinion. Shall we agree to disagree?

Now they are eating humble pie and DLR may be coming back. Too late..they killed a good band with their egos and Eddie can't even suck up to Micheal Jackson anymore because he's dead too.
