Sammy is without equal in body of work, and longevity as a balls out hard rock and roll vocalist and front man. He's no slouch on guitar either. As a guitar player I've been a fan of Joe's since his first album and caught every album and tour I could. This group brought in a rhythm section that (I think) took away any pre-orchastrated, by the numbers comfort zone, putting Joe in the raw zone of elite musical carnage. First of all... Mike Anthony just SLAMS in this format and you throw a hitter like Chad Smith meeting that energy and talent swing for swing... Joe murdered it, Sammy nailed the coffin shut and the rhythm section buried it 12 feet under. This performance should have won EVERY MUSIC AWARD the year it came out. Its such a shame that elite musicanship combined with raw BLOW THE ROOF OFF talent is no longer valued by the industry birthed by that same formula.

4 crazy dudes, all over 50 years old, all legends of their generations, and playing together like they never left their prime. I saw Van Halen in Feburary of last year kicking off their lastest tour, and even though they are still a tight group, Chickenfoot blows them away in every field! Love these dudes
The answer is simple: Music isn't about anything but the commercial(s)... Besides, if you controlled EVERYTHING you wouldn't want powerful stuff like this getting through to younger generations or you might just lose that control... Lady Gaga is much safer LOL
These guys, this song on that stage is the best ever - this is rock n roll at its best - wish I was there to have seen that show. So hope I get to see the Foot play live one day with this exact lineup.

He spent years getting screwed in the ass by Eddie Van Halen. Everything after 1982 severely limited his ability. All the early VH swings like it does because Mike is incredibly tight. He pulls the song along and gives it bounce.
