If you are watching this thinking about purchasing for your new Cybertruck you should seriously consider waiting. I have her to see any pictures or videos of successful results or heard from anyone who had successful results. It steaks, it runs, it drips... Even in ideal environmental conditions. Then when you inevitably aren't happy it's nearly impossible to get off.
Question: I’ve seen acouple of your video but I haven’t seen anything about it’s temperatures resistance after cure. Lots of cars have shiny parts, stainless, chrome, aluminum under the hood and even on our engines. Would it resist 200-300 degrees? What about in the thousands of degrees for stainless exhaust system?
ProtectaClear has been used on highly polished chrome engines and other very hot car parts for years. It is normally stable up to about 550 degrees Fahrenheit . It will gas off (disappear) at approximately 660 degrees Fahrenheit. Normally engines are not a problem as most do not get over 550 degrees F. Thank you for your inquiry.
For those in California we recommend Acetone for removal of the coating. It evaporates faster than Xylene so you will need to reapply more frequently, but it will remove the coating in the same fashion as described in the video.
Sorry I ever heard of this stuff. Hassle to apply, hassle to remove when it doesn't look right. Tried applicator, tried brushing. Either streaks from not enough or drips from too much. Used UndrDog Pro...so much easier. Kit includes too much coating and crazy markup for everything else.
We appreciate your feedback and sorry to hear about your experience. While it may not be the perfect solution for everyone, we've had many customers achieve great results with it. We're glad you found a solution that works for you. Our goal is to offer high-quality options and support for all our customers' needs.
Couldn't agree me. If people are watching this thinking about supporting it to their new Cybertruck, I would recommend you don't unless you don't. I would love to hear from "amateurs" to see if anyone has had success.
Was this in response to State of Charges video? I accidentally ordered normal everbrite so I'll be returning that. But then I ordered this version. I'm very hesitant to do this after his video.
No, we put this up before he posted his video. He did the application SO wrong! Didn't follow the instructions, didn't watch our videos obviously. I wish he would have tried to reach out to us but it seems like he purposely messed it up. But you can watch this and decide for yourself if it is the product for you.
@@ProtectMetal having detailed cars semi professionally for decades, I do think he was in the "here's how it's done" camp. Not sure it was on purpose. Ceramic coats are also my thing and I felt he did what I would have. Using an expensive product that didfers so much from the "norm" is a challenge, but I'll give it a go after watching your videos twice. Don't over think it right? 😀
Out of speck detailing you tube channel got very bad results , same as Cybertruck forum . I’ve never seen high quality pictures of this product on a CT.
Out of Spec admitted that they applied it incorrectly, we will be filming a video with them next weekend to show what proper application yields. We have many happy customers who have beautiful outcomes and pictures, some of which have been shared on the forums.

What alternative to Xylene do you recommend? It seems that Xylene is not available for purchase in California.
