Considering remakes are popular and we (me included) want a skylanders game. They may remake the first game. Maybe keeping it like the original, but adding cut content. (And maybe the ability to use our newer skylanders on the og game remake)

I think it would be a bad move for toys for bob to make a new skylanders game without the toys because the game is mostly known for the toys to life gimmick so I think a lot of fans would be upset if they got rid of the toys to life option.
exactly. maybe a hybrid option, where you can buy them digitally or physical, but not just digital.
@@lumigotdatshadow Yeah the hybrid option would work but having the physical toys option is a must for skylanders since it was mostly centered around being a "Portal Master" by sending our Physical Skylanders to Skylands.

You just bought back so many memories I remember being in elementary school playing skylanders after school with friends and going to GameStop and buying used skylanders, times were so good back then
The skylanders should function like amibos, maybe a few new skylanders, and produce old ones again.
That genre of games being purely toys to life is dead so they probably would do something different than toys to life
Amibos was and is just a rip off of Skylanders it just survived longer due to it being done by Nintendo same with Disney infinity

I’m thinking of my skylander movie idea the skylanders are having a festival until kaos come mind control skylanders to help him taking over all of skylands luckily Spyro stealth elf eruptor pop fizz jet vac and cynder escape with captain Flynn and his ship spyro discover a new team of skylanders who can join forces to stop kaos its up Spyro and friends on a quest to find the new team of skylanders defeat kaos free the other skylanders from mind control and save of skylands before it’s too late

fr. Spyro is fun i guess, but god damn he gets annoying after a while
i dont think toys for bob understands how much money they would make if they made a new skylanders game. almost all old players for nostalgia and a ton of new kids experiencing it for the first time.

I wish I could agree, but at the same time making a new Skylanders game could be a total gamble, getting a game for nostalgia happens a lot but I’m sure no one would wanna get a game for nostalgia and then get a bunch of other Skylanders too, because if it’s just for nostalgia then the players are probably old enough to know they don’t need these things. BUT if they mange to get there target audience if they released a new game (there audience being new players, which could be very difficult) this could be a brand new beginning for Skylanders AKA new games, new figures, new mobile spin offs etc.
Toys for bob properly miss skylanders because they have made a 10th anniversary on giants and spyro's adventures
It would be great to see these games come back in a refreshed format. These games were such part of my childhood. I’ve even been looking for the Japanese wiiu SSA (no luck on that though but I did find a 3ds copy)
I think they’ll make Spyro 4 first and I believe that’s what keep your horns on was referring to but a girl can dream ☺️

Honestly I miss Skylanders Lost Islands. It was like Clash of Clans & Smurfs Village but still had enough to differentiate itself from the 2. It had all the characters from the first 4 games, Skylanders & side characters included, & you could use a Bluetooth portal or a character code to bring your toys into the game. It was a great deal of fun & an absolute shame it was only around for 5 years. I hope they bring it back someday or make a game similar to it.

If skylanders come back it will be a massive shoutout to skylander RUclipsr and retro stores since people would want to search for figures and other games as well as an advantage to any old RUclipsrs

I just re watched the academy series and man I remember how much I loved playing Spyro’s adventure, giants, swap force, and trap team. I really pray to god that they will release this shit again, LFG
having new physical figures again would be nice but realistically yea digital would make more sense within the current market of gaming. it's nice to think about but until we get concrete information the idea remains open
If they went indie a Skylanders game would be the best way to solidify their standing imo. The idea of a digital toybox does sound pretty cool since it's pretty much the same thing, but perhaps they can find a way to upload the Skylanders you already have so you don't gotta pay for em + the different skins they already have. Idk how easy it'd be since they needed a big ahh portal, but maybe technology has come that far by now
I think it would be to have the SSA original remade to be an ancient/elder/classic gimmicklander that uses their figurines that you can either order in a special starter kit or just have laying around. All other skylanders are still usable as figurines but also just available as online purchases
I hope they will do any skylander game. Most probalby they gonna go digital for new Skylanders, maybe with option to buy phisical figure, but for more celector function. Also they could still use portals for people that already own some figures. That could be on of the best moves they can do.
Skylanders was so long ago and I miss it so much, but I actually believe that were getting a new one. I remenber going to store and buying skylanders and I want to do it again. If they don't sell figuers and portals etc, I won't be as happy but hope they are compatible with the figures and portals. Now this is just me and my thoughts, so don't think it's 100% were getting it.
I still have my trap team/regular portal and all my skylanders i hope they make a new one so i can use em again
I'd be down with a remake where the figures are just in the game. Like you could play the game almost like Lego games where you start with a set of characters and find the rest either through stages or in a in-game store. Heck I'd be down if they did the first 3 or 4 games. (Side Note: Superchargers and Imaginators weren't bad but they felt different and lacking compared to the other 4. I still could see the characters from those games be extra in-game purchase characters. The characters from those games where still cool. Ambush and Tri-Tip and Spitfire where my favorite from those games.)
1st and 2nd game remaster is all they need
I agree it will be better to make a remaster then later make a new skylanders game.
I could see a remake happening, I'd love to see an all digital version with unlockable characters scattered through the game, and compatibility with an optional physical portal that let's you unlock characters at any point with your old toys.
Bro please just give me skylanders again 😭 as a 2000s kid that shit was my childhood, I played every game in the franchise and since then I have never found a game that quite matches the charm and whimsicality i found throughout the skylands.
If the now indie Toys For Bob company announces a new Skylanders game, I do hope they find a way to make all the years of collecting worth the wait. They’d have to pull out a lot of stops in order to do so though.
I also hope they give us an explanation as to why Kaos did what he did in Skylanders Imaginators despite everything that happen in Superchargers.
I’d share my ideas, but I’m not sure if sharing them would be the wisest choice.
All you need to know for now is that my idea involves time travel. Also, after defeating Kaos, the special characters stripped Kaos of all of its powers and Skylands of all of the memories they made throughout Superchargers in an attempt to keep something similar from happening again.
It’s an annoying trope, but it’s the only way I can connect Superchargers and Imaginator in a way that makes sense. Plus, it’s for the greater good.
I hope that they keep using the toys, although they probably will have a digital way of buying them now that NFC cards have become so popular. Either way, I’m excited for the possibility! Regardless of if it’s a remaster or a Skylanders 7, I will not complain and I will 100% get it day one!

Imagine if they do a physical new skylanders game. The only thing they need to think about is switch 2 and how to use the skylanders on the switch consoles.
The joysticks on the switch have an nfc reader for amibos so realistically it wouldn’t be too hard

Skylanders 7 would be fucking gas i went through and played superchargers (its the only game i got rn) and honestly the combat is better then i remember
i would by the figurs as long as they look cool and stop with special skylanders (gigant and swap are okay but the rest nah), just normal ones and specials

At the end of the skylanders Giants 10th anniversary video 2022 they said something right around the corner 2 years from now it’s 2024 hopefully they finally announce a new skylanders game but it could be just the 10th anniversary of trap team we can still hope

Skylanders are magic because a toys to life game is brilliant and the toys are what make the game insane and it's brilliant that Microsoft and toys for bob are coming together and I hope the new game brings new skylanders and new story keep it up skylanders you won't be forgotten

The whole toys to life thing is very like 2015 at this point, I seriously can't imagine a kid who plays fortnite all day (not saying its a bad game just using it as an example) would want to play a game where you have to pay for the game, and all the toys as well.

I have a idea for the thing to be digital you get the toys and the portal but it comes with a code that gives you the game so all you need to do is plug the portal in then it’s game time

I think it is a skylanders game because of 1 thing, why mention skylanders? Over the years activision has tried to hide and bury skylanders, and so did toys for Bob, but going indie and instantly mentioning skylanders? Sounds a like a big deal for the skylanders community.
