I'm a late millennial, I've been gaming since I was like 4 or 5. My parents had a computer it was windows 95. I remember playing sim ant and sim city. My mom would build cities and let me destroy them. That was just the start. We played Mario on her Nintendo system and eventually got a ps2 and an xbox 360. I've always been gaming.

    "Gen X is often forgotten"

Although I am gen z, I feel like I really resonated with gen x (probably just because of my parents being gen x) And in my early childhood before Covid and my parents' divorce I got to go hiking and live right next to the wilderness for most of my summers. I did get into gaming since age 6 with StarCraft2 on my computer as my dad and older brother were really into it. I'm not sure if it was before I got into SC2 but I also played Nintendo games like Mario galaxy and Mario kart, as well as some games on my shared tablet like PVZ and MSM.

Wish i could have grown up in that time period

It really fascinates me to hear about life from the pov of someone older than me. Im fully in gen Z, im barely getting into college. But I do resonate with some of what is said, I wasn't that much cuddled as a kid, bulliying was very much a thing in schools back in the 2010's and I got to play outside a lot. What im interested about in this video is how life was witheout all the technology of the 2010's. Because I've never lived in a world witheout computers and video-games, witheout the internet, social-media and youtube. Heck, even HD is a thing I've known all my life, it just feels crazy to think even my parents didnt have those, just how recent it is feels weird.

i was going to say i feel like i was born later than i should have been right before you said some of the older millennials can be grouped in with GenX haha i was raised in a very GenX style house, or i guess outside of the house. good video JayDee, ive said it before and ill say it again, i really enjoy hearing your perspective on things

Hello, I’m a gen z 19 year old college student ! First, I’d like to say that I like your voice. It’s easy to listen to and calming. But, I would like to tell you we are more similar than you think. I had many of the same experiences and I along with the people around me thought the tide pod thing was stupid too. Don’t let the outrageous news about one tiny portion of a population skew your reality. A holier than thou mindset between generations has been happening since the beginning of recorded history. I see it happening between my generation and my younger brother’s. It will likely continue, but it really shouldn’t. I think it’s cool we might enjoy the same games, I hope my future children and I will play together and relate to each other one day. We’re all just kids growing up. Hope you keep having fun playing games and making content!

As a Gen Z i can absolutely agree to all the negative things you said about us. My generation is really weird and I hope gen alpha will grow up to be a good generation again.

"Younger millennials didn't get to experience the more difficult things. "Sorry my guy, but what are you on about. As a young millennial I was raised by boomers. I went through multiple financial crisises, a pandemic and growing up catering extremely critical boomer customers. Never gaining any approval or love by anyone. Then also being cussed out by gen z as well. Most young millennials don't own a house and nobody likes us. Due to the never ending cancel culture and gender wars we're unable to marry and thus also never purchase a house together either. Nothing has ever worked out smoothly, unless you knew somebody. All my older millennial cousins had it FAR better when there were still jobs and better paying jobs and they got absolutely babied by gen x and boomers. The young millennial was always the "Child, you know nothing." And it's funny you're saying that, because it's proving my point. And the older generations were so selfish to the point that now we don't have jobs or houses anymore. Who has had it worse? You or me?
