I had strong opinions as a teenager about the sort of human being Morrissey was, even when numerous people were fawning over him, sickeningly. History has proven my intuition to be right. Watching this has just raised my opinion of the late Mr. Wilson still further, and cemented exactly what I thought of Morrissey all those years ago. Trust your intuition about people. 😀
@@2112jonr yes, I guess this would be the case too 😁, but the main factor was Marr. Not even his current success level as a solo artist wouldn't be possible if he wasn't part of The Smiths. I would say he is still producing Smiths material by replicating Marr's melodies but it lacks Marr's quality, freshness and energy.

Morrissey has never come close to recording an album as good as Viva Hate so Vini Reilly must have a lot more to do with it than is publicly admitted.
He's recorded BETTER albums than Viva Hate. But... VH has the last remnants of the Smiths sound with him through Stephen Street.
