“Fearless will know fear” This line hits harder than it should. The concept of Ragnarok is terrifying when you really think about it. All these powerful gods and entities knowing their demise is to come and they can’t do anything about it.
That IS exactly what i Said in my commentary!! Ragnarök is something that cannot be stopped and that IS why they are so scared of It, It is beyond their Control , not to mentions that Aesirs brought Ragnarök to themselves, by conquering the realms and trying to exterminar the giants.
The irony of this inevitable fate is that it is self-inflicted by the nature of the involved party. The Norns specifically said that there was never truly a prophecy, never truly a predetermined fate. Yet, it was every characters obsession with preventing the prophecy yet made no effort on what count the most to change it. Which is becoming better, becoming a different entity compared to the one mentioned in the prophecy. It was Kratos commitment to be better and to guide his son to not make the mistakes he had made that replaced Loki from the prophecy with Atreus. Making Ragnarok play out differently from what was foretold.
Man after listening to the song and then Reading the lyric i realized what the theme is ALL about, is not Just about Odin and Thor but is ALL about the Aesirs greatest fear of all: Ragnarök. The mention of Surtr's sword, the lyric saying the mightiest Will fall and fearless Will know fear, is ALL about Ragnarök, the punishiment of the Aesirs for their years of slaughtering and conquering the nine realms and now they Will suffers the consequences of theses actions, ALL because they trusted somente that only cared about himself. The realms Will have justice while Asgard suffers from the actions of one god, the manipulative, selfish and obssevive All-Father... Odin.
When I first tried to understand the lyrics with google translate the first line I accidentally translated to Icelandic instead of old Norse and it translated to “sleep soundly for ragnarok is near” so now I picture a warrior sharpening his sword and preparing for their final night of rest before ragnarok
I wish Surtr/Ragnarok had the same feeling as the concept arts, him walking across the fields of Asgard and cutting through the fabric of reality with his sword.
Concept art are often better than the game because they tend to be more ambitious? Since you know They don’t have to animate or model engineer a piece of drawing lol
@@anselmopat4985 So that's why From Software is superior. Both their artwork and actual games are ambitious while now what Santa Monica Studios put into the real game is mediocre
So we just gonna ignore the beautiful settings of Svartalheim, Vanaheim, Alfheim, Jotunheim, Yggdrasil, and the Spark of the World? Or the development of Freya, Kratos, Brok, Sindri, Atreus, Mimir, and Thor? How about the enjoyable side characters like Freyr, Thrud, Angraboda, Lunda, and Durlin? Ragnarok definitely has its flaws don't get me wrong, but it's environment and setting is beyond beautiful. And the story is phenomenal in many places. While in some yes leaves a lot to be desired.

That “Ragnarökin Nær” at the end is spine chilling..
This theme makes you know that it's about the king of Gods, it feel ancient and powerful

Yes, the music has a totally different vibe than the game, it's basically what happened with the movie Justice League.
N O S H I T
Epico
The artwork and the soundtrack - God of War: Ragnarok
The in game settings, story and environment - god of war: Ragged - Nah - Mediocre
Your life is incredibly sad if all you can do is be a GOWR critic lmao
