I brought 7 foot MH and I am thinking of getting another one 7 foot M. I like the action of my rods. I am using for shad and striper around Sacramento river.
I picked up the the ultralite for trout fishing and put a pflueger 20 on it and it is balanced nicely, I also picked up the royal legend 7ft medium rod for 53.00 on amazon deals the other day.
Kigai11 the Speed Demon Pro Rods are in another class - EASILY $200+ dollar rods. The bass rods are TOUGH but still have a 30T blank! I actually think the bass rods may be my go-to. BUT...of course...I'll be doing a comparison soon!

I recently had a 4ft paddlefish snag himself on a drop shot worm while fishing a spillway for small mouth. Was on a Lew's 6'6" Medium rod and the american hero baitcaster reel with 12lb p-line fluroclear. That also was a fun fight to land the fish. Was able to get it untangled and unhooked to release back into the river.
Super awesome fight, Bro, especially considering the way that it was hooked. And, yes, as far as I see it, it did count. The way it was hooked the fish had a decided advantage because it had use of it's powerful tail which made it even harder for you to land it. From the video, I can also see that KastKing rods will hold up to a strong fish even in an ultralight power.
oakland002 well I don't think these ultralights were meant for that lol. This one held up so I can attest to the strength but these are really for smaller species. Hope that helps man!

william kadisch I'm excited too. Freshwater drum is a bottom feeder type fish too. They are pretty aggressive on crankbaits out there some days and very strong.

I caught one on a 5' ultralight with 6lb test one time about the same size. It read 14 on one of those shitty South Bend scales. That took about 45 minutes. I had to use my finger on the spool as drag. It almost stripped me several times. I did hook mine legit though. It was pecking at my bobber and I raised it up where the worm covered hook was in front of him. Sucked it right in.
@@fishingnoob2216 I picked up an abu Garcia vigilante from Walmart for $25 I believe. It has worked thus far. I'm using braid to a leader so that helps with sensitivity.
