Honesty is the best policy around here mate. Everyone can read through someone who’s been paid to say nice things about a product. No payments around here 😁. Got my 9-5 for that unfortunately haha. More off road riding coming soon as well. Just waiting for my trousers to turn up to fully enjoy going off road 🤙
Great bit of tech, carpuride has a brkt to mount it to the original satnav holder so it powers up and off with the ignition. Satin screen protector and not loads of Bluetooth devices and away you go
Hello, I bought this device recently however, the problem is voice guidance from navigation apps e.g. Sygic is not transmitted to my helmet head set. I connected using both methods but non worked. I contacted manufacture also, they could not solve the problem. My question to you: is voice guidance transmitted to your head set. Please advise.
If i connexct this via bluetooth, can i plug my phone into the 3m slot on my stereo on the bike so that the audio (gps nav, and music) comes through my bike speakers and not this device? Essentially i just want to use this screen and a bigger phone screen while stjll being able to have music come out of my 6x9's .
You have to connect your phone and headset through the unit via the unit Bluetooth.. take your headset off your phone..that's the way I connected it and I have no problems at all..on first turn on,it connects within 30 seconds every time .
Hello Matt, could we access the Vehicle stats via the BMW connected app on this device. Just like how we can get MS Teams, Whatsapp etc, does the connected app gets displayed on Android Auto on this device?
As a pure Apple car play unit. Ignoring chigees extra bits. It’s a tough one, I’d go for the Carpuride for the fact I can remove it from the bike. But I would go for the 5inch version of the Carpuride over this 7inch. 🤙
It was indeed mate, probably didn't help with the amount of other tech my phone was connecting too as well. Chigee is easier, but it does have its own faults though. Video coming soon :)
@@DSR1YT Podofo do a similar unit to the Chigee, ok it's not got the blind detector, but it's nearly £300 cheaper, o can't understand what makes chigge SO expensive, it's not ground breaking technology 😉
No it’s not mate, maybe cause they’ve brought all the tech together for you they think they can charge so much. It’s a good bit of kit, but it’s not faultless and is heavy on the wallet.
Someone else said a satin screen protector as well. Why don’t they just come with it? We know it’s going to get reflections due to its position and angle 📐 🤙
OMG I absolutely love tech but you defo have too much going on there 🤣🤓 FYI if you have the latest firmware things work much better as you phone is paired with the Sena. As opposed to the old skool method of using the Carpuride as a Bluetooth hub. You'll also get problem if your phone is paired with the BMW TFT as the phone doesn't know where to send the audio output. Here's what Carpuride told me, I guess it's the closest we will get to 'realse notes'
I don’t connect my phone to the tft so that’s one less thing going on 😁. For clarification I had Go pro, Sena, CHIGEE, Carpuride Vantrue dashcam All connecting or at least trying to connect to my phone 🤣. Like I said. Most people won’t have this much kit going on. Luckily it will all be coming off soon once all the filming and comparisons have been done 😁🤙

Yeah I have seen their bmw bracket. I’ve taken my bracket off as I don’t use their satnav. Cleans up the look of it as well. 🤙

Has anyone tried using the BMW TFT as the main center for connection (Phone to BMW, Cardo/sena to BMW and Carpuride to BMW) how does it work then?

A 'matte' screen protector should minimise the reflections.
