I do not suggest that we "join" the system, rather, how do we "compete" within it? We are in a system that will not see our collective rise above where it believes we should be. I do not wish to sound like a defeatist, but we can't even tolerate each other! I suppose I'm looking for a small bit of encouragement, and correction/enlightenment.

Sometimes, after watching you, I immediately want to stand up, applaud, hi-five the TV and whomever is watching with me... But, it's funny, because in that half a second, I realize I need to relax as my mind is still processing everything I just heard...
ie: my soul is hi-fiving, my brain is recalling Malcolm X saying "chickens coming home to roost" (you reap what you sew). Then the reality of: well, I live in THE criminal empire... The place that gave the world a PHD course on corruption, from criminal forms of capitalism to mind control... All of a sudden things get more interesting...lol
Continuing to process, I find myself having what can best be described as "white fear"(fear of reaping what you've sewn)and,I ain't white...
As a child of the "greatest country on earth."(the bully of the world), I find myself in constant prayer. Grateful there is a God and he has a plan.
You ain't lying Dr.Carr there's so much to read, research and understand, to understand. But, the more I read and research, the more I realize, you are a true treasure. If knowledge is power, you're a power grid. I could have never known what to read to find all this information, until you shined your light. Truly breath-taking and reassuring at the same time to what you represent Madame Prime Minister Mottley. ONE like you. Sending and summoning Positive Vibrational Energy your way. It is undeniable, immeasurably refreshing to hear a Leader articulate and express issues and policy. Like you expressed in your address at the Summit of the Americas (minus some ), It's time to join in the chorus and herald the needed change. So much trouble in the world and yet the world leaders leadership seems miles from realistic urgency. They blast off on space ships seeking to colonize outer space while they destroy this planet. A million miles from reality.
In referencing the formation of the United Nations, the Hopi speak of a time when the world will gather on the west coast of Turtle Island to form a union which might bring peace to the world. They have always attributed this to the League of Nations; they then speak about the 2nd attempt which would be made on the East Coast (the United States); if that fails, they do not describe a third attempt but mention that it will happen and that time the "circle will be complete". Today, listening to the opening speech, I received serious vibes of history holding its breath. The microcosm is meeting the macrocosm; "on the left coast of turtle island, an attempt at peace will be made". Troubles will be multiplied if it fails. Godspeed to the Prime Minister.

My family and neighbors grew food- when feasible-in Navy Housing! They'd (then) barter their "extras" with other neighbors. We did this BEFORE; we can do it AGAIN!

I watched the Jan. 6 commission hearing and really really appreciated the approach taken to center the attack on the capitol and it's purpose on Donald Trump. I liked the fact that it will become a permanent congressional record, that Rep. Thompson was very sober in his conversations, and that this first installment was well put together and very watchable. Let's temper our cynical assumptions and let the ancestors do what the ancestors gonna do.
it's not cynical, it's being a student of history. Unless Trump is arrested and/or prevented from ever holding office again, this was a waste of time.
