Its funny how I hear people say they have never seen anything like this, when it is so natural to me. Then I remember how fortunate I have been to be able to travel so many places in not only this country, but around the world. What makes your video so great is not only the outstanding editing, beautiful shots, and great music, but the total sense of awe that you extend out to your viewers. The clips in this video just kept getting better and better, but the camp scenes were the best. The lighting was perfect, and I kept hearing the song Arora Borealis by CW McCall playing in my mind. Simply majestic.
I've been a fan of your videos for awhile now. You've inspired me to want to be an overlander! I just purchased my TRD Off road 4Runner. Now for all the other gear...
Awesome work as always!! Looks like a place I want to take my family to one day!!!! Leaving with a group of guys for the GA Traverse tomorrow, guess it will have to do for now!!!
Really like your vlogs and your enthusiasm. Would be fun for us non US citizens if you made a sequence with a google maps with your route. Keep up good work 👍🏻
wow your videos are amazing. i ran into your channel because i am having trouble with my 2001 Toyota 4runner :( with 250 thousand miles but it is still running like a champ. just a few things i need to fix. i been thinking about getting a new 4runner and yours is truly amazing and beautiful. subscribed with the first 2 videos i watched.
Two things that really stand out in this one. First having the whole family out with you guys. Not just guys in their rigs doing tough stuff. It's truly worth having the family see and experience the whole overland thing together. Second, it's just your two rigs. Not a full line of twenty rigs creeping along in a line that looks more like rush hour traffic than an outback adventure. Always hate going out with more than four or five at the very most at a time. Just too keep things personal and not crowded.
What an eye opener. Ive been looking at trailers but after this i might want to just make the truck over land worthy. I belive i would be missing out on some nice trails cause the trailer couldnt fit. Thank you
You keep killing it Jason! Amazing footage through the narrow parts of the trail. Also, love the choice of music in all your videos. 5:18 and 8:56 names of songs please and thank you!
The music on this episode was super on point. Your music is always awesome but I particularly loved these tracks. Somewhat entrancing to go along with the landscape. I love some good EDM that makes you lose yourself in the track. If you’re planning any trips up to the N GA mountains this summer, i’d love to tag along. My son is 3 now and I think he’s old enough to overnight with me in the woods (planning a test trial soon in the backyard). I haven’t been out camping/overlanding in years so I’m itching to get back out.
Loved the video. It is my goal to be able one day to take some trips like that. I am just getting started on outfitting my vehicle and love yours and lifestyle Overland’s rigs. I was like the second view of this. And had to watch it again from my work computer. So now I added up to 2 views for this Great channel. Cookies and steaks looked incredible. No need to rough it when you have a set up like that.
Did that run in Feb. The Drone footage is pretty sweet, needed more of it. Two RUclipsrs traveling together, it's a wonder you manage to get anywhere. You stopped at the pretty common turn around point.
Jason Koertge, Wow, good for you for not holding back with the trailer. It's not like it was brand new or anything, lol. Any chance you will make it back to Expo West, I would like to say hello.
Dang it Jason! I’ve binge watched all your videos over two weekends and I have a feeling you’re going to cause me to spend a lot of money. Pricing out tacomas now. Lol 😬👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the video Jason! Its a stress reliever to watch your adventures.. the surroundings looks so beautiful! Did you end up swinging by Joshua tree like you mentioned? Joshua tree is beautiful.. We took our rigs through the berdoo canyon trail last month and it looks very similar to Anza. Keep these vlogs going!
Planning a trip there with my fiancé and my brother and his wife do you think it’s a good idea to camp the night out there cuz we would be sleeping on the ground
You live in the east but are always having high adventure in the west. Do you ever contemplate moving out west? You already have the vehicle and gear for it.
Nice video! How many inches lift you have on your 4Runner, Jason, and what system did you go with? looking to do something on my 5th Gen, not sure what to go with. Will be doing similar overlanding.
Is there any way to fix the camera focus? The perimeter is being warped to focus into the dead center and is counter productive to showing nice places as such.
With a slot canyon the water can come from miles away... but good on you for taking precautions. Love the fact you involve your kids. it will bill memories for them for a life time!
Why does everyone with an offroad trailer have their safety chains like 2"s off the ground? I don't even run my road trailers like that because I don't want the chains to hit the ground. But off road? Why so low?
I don’t know what I think of the LP fire pit it’s either genius or over the top my 15 YO son says that’s Girl Scout camping at its finest. IDK I think I like.
Took me a minute to catch the right frame, but found the grill. It's a Stok Tourist. Looks awesome and has a variety of inserts (griddle, wok, pizza stone...)
That transition shot between rigs was AMAZING!!!!

Perfect cliff hanger for the next episode. When you took the tip off that grill my jaw DROPPED. STEAKS!
Haha. They were soo good. haha
Simply amazing and I’m so glad you guys eating something NOT out of the CAN 👍
I hope everyone appreciates the effort it takes get some of the shots Jason is getting.. nicely done Jason.. ton of back tracking.
Looks like you guys are having a great trip so far. Really digging your editing style. Music for this episode was perfect. Great movie!!
I've been a fan of your videos for awhile now. You've inspired me to want to be an overlander! I just purchased my TRD Off road 4Runner. Now for all the other gear...
Probably the best blog so far. I really enjoyed the second half of the video.
Why thank you very much!
Lost for words on how amazing that looked!! Seriously, all you needed was Overland and I would have had the full house!!
Love the trail, thank you for taking us with you.
Looks like a great trip definitely don't think I the old ford making through there, lol.
Jason
Oh man, watch the next one! It gets a little crazy!
What a stunning place. No words.
5:28 Awesome edit man. I loved it, so perfect!
This is amazing! Jason you are the inspiration man! Keep it up!
Your editing and music selection is so on point, keep up the great work!
Awesome work as always!! Looks like a place I want to take my family to one day!!!! Leaving with a group of guys for the GA Traverse tomorrow, guess it will have to do for now!!!
Awesome to see your progress and confidence grow!
Perfect way to start the weekend. Thanks Jason
That was great, can’t wait for the one!
I’m finally joining the TB herd on the Death Valley Trip, super stoked wish you were coming along.
Really like your vlogs and your enthusiasm. Would be fun for us non US citizens if you made a sequence with a google maps with your route. Keep up good work 👍🏻
Man that editing at 5:30 is Gold!!! Way impressed!! Keep it up.

Jason, I was just writing my daily blog post about longing for a return to the western US when you latest notification appeared. Thanks! :-)
Haha. Nice!
Wow, another great video my man. Car seat thing was funny. Nice driving parts. Also liked the dinner shots. Made you feel like you were there.
Thank you! The steak part seriously made me so hungry when I was editing it. haha
What an eye opener. Ive been looking at trailers but after this i might want to just make the truck over land worthy. I belive i would be missing out on some nice trails cause the trailer couldnt fit. Thank you

Love it man! Whenever you come back you need to reach out and let me know!
Will do man!!! I'll be at expo west as well!

I freaking love your editing!!! Loving these videos!!!
That edit at 5:30 was fire
One of your best brother. Well done.

Am am buying a ZR2 in the next month and starting my own overland adventure. Your videos and entertaining and inspiring. Goodjob
We need to get a campaign going to get Jason to install a snorkel.
Those drone shots were really cool!
Bought a 2018 3Inch ,lift well on my way hopefully I'll try it out this summer going west I'm in Tennessee.
Your editing skills are getting a lot better with each video!
Thank you very much sir!
If you loved that canyon, you will love Titus Canyon in Death Valley.
Need to go there!!
Need to go there!!
Amazing video editing skills!
Now this is a vlog! 🙌
Some real solid editing there at the 5:30 mark!
Haha. Thanks!! Sometimes things like that just work out!
I caught that as well. That was awesome.
Did that run in Feb. The Drone footage is pretty sweet, needed more of it. Two RUclipsrs traveling together, it's a wonder you manage to get anywhere. You stopped at the pretty common turn around point.
Haha. Well. We didn’t turn around there!!
Lol 😬👍🏻👍🏻
Hahahaha. I get it!!
So true! Great videos Jason! I got my tacoma and it was worth it!

carne asada
What’s that?
Me: Whaaaaat?!
I instantly started mousing for the RUclips logo when he said, "what's that?". Jeepers, that's strange.
One Man Trail
Watch your channel. I purchased the same ARB Elements fridge after watching your videos.
Love the edit at 5:31
Planning a trip there with my fiancé and my brother and his wife do you think it’s a good idea to camp the night out there cuz we would be sleeping on the ground
I'm just gonna ask.....what's the shirt brand. what does the 'C' with a slash stand for. cheers.
Criquet Shirts
Any chance you can retire and become full time overlander? You could upload videos 2-3 times a week! Can’t wait till next video thanks
Hey man i really love ur videos i have watched all your video edits are damn cool..add a tire rack on ur 4runner..
Jason, do you have any fused vertebra? I ask because you turn to look around like me.
Lawry's is the bomb!
So glad I subscribed! Looks amazing!
What music was used in this vid?
Some very obnoxious music.
Can you do a top 10 trails for east coast overlanders to visit on the west coast ?
Can you keep the volume of the music a little lower? I have to turn up and down my volume while I watch your videos. otherwise, really great!
I wouldn't camp under the cliffs if I were you. There are rock falls all the time out there. That's how that trail got blocked. be safe.
I hope you were kidding about Carne Asada. You gotta try Carne Asada Fries.
so pretty!
Hey Jason what grill are you using to cook them steaks ?
Ill second that. What grill?
Looks like it's a stok tourist grill
Jason,
What mounting system and camera are using when recording from the outside of the car?
Never mind read the description lol.
Is there any way to fix the camera focus? The perimeter is being warped to focus into the dead center and is counter productive to showing nice places as such.
Haha.
Jason Koertge just constructive criticism. I like your growing channel and I think the less sharp focus might give your scenery a better look
It’s a gh5 problem. Working on it!
Do you have neck issues? How does it affect your wheeling?
I’ve got to second that. Carne Asada - what’s that? What’s that!?! Mate, you look to be in your 40s. Where have you been all your life? On an island?
take care in camping at the low spot of a slot canyon. One big rain can be fatal...
Yep. We were aware and and checked weather.
With a slot canyon the water can come from miles away... but good on you for taking precautions. Love the fact you involve your kids. it will bill memories for them for a life time!
What kind of fire pit are you using
Will a 2 wheel drive front wheel drive SUV make the trip?
That steak tho 👀
What's that song at 5:30
Looks like so much fun! Do you know the name of that canyon you went up? We might go out there this weekend. Great video Jason
I believe it was Sandstone Canyon
Why does everyone with an offroad trailer have their safety chains like 2"s off the ground? I don't even run my road trailers like that because I don't want the chains to hit the ground. But off road? Why so low?

What kind of grill is that
When you see it you’ll be creeped out @15:57
What’ya seeing?
Jason Koertge looks like somebody is standing on the cliff watching you guys.
its a bush, just watch it a couple of times. At first it does look like a person but if you keep watching its a bush
Did you even need to select 4x4
Man I like Anza and everything, but when you get out here you need to hit me up, will do Utah stuff that, in my opinion, is way cooler!
Sign me up!!
All of Utah is great for wheeling. Lived there for 20 years. Southern Utah, Sand Hollow. My Sister lives like 2 miles from thy he reservoir.
Larry Briggs it’s an awesome place! I spend a lot of time in Southwest Utah.
Nice work! My favorite spot is Sandstone canyon.
What kinda fire pit is that?
Took me a minute to catch the right frame, but found the grill. It's a Stok Tourist. Looks awesome and has a variety of inserts (griddle, wok, pizza stone...)
Carseats. :/
Obnoxious music
