  • Satakunta’s industrial, export, energy and food sectors contribute to the economic prosperity of the entire country. Finland needs Satakunta; the productive region produces food to the rest of Finland 1.5 times the size of the population. Satakunta is also the major electricity producing region in Finland. 25.5% of all electricity in the entire country is produced in Satakunta. Future company investments in the region are estimated to amount to over 1.3 billion euros. The region has two major ports, the Port of Rauma and the Port of Pori, which are responsible for a significant proportion of Finnish exports.
    Satakunta is a region of positive structural change where growing companies are constantly looking for skilled workers. There is an increasing demand for automation and robotics engineers, metal workers as well as social and health workers. Highly trained specialists are also needed in various fields.
