Hopefully the Plaintiff gets on her feet soon. Two households sharing 1 car is crazy. And I’m pretty sure the nephew is gonna have a million and 1 excuses why he can’t take her where she needs to go smh
I think the daughter needs to have some accountability too! I mean come on, no financial stability, bad credit, social security income, borrowing money, etc. and before people say don’t judge … just think, this is a woman who takes two hours to get ready and missed the bank to pay a bill. No wonder she has bad credit. She’s irresponsible.
She probably thought about that when it was solely her name on the title. My first car when I was 18 was in my mother's name because it was cheaper for insurance; she just had me listed as a driver on her policy. It also meant she'd threaten to call and report it stolen if I didn't do what she wanted when she wanted it, if I got mouthy she'd take my keys and leave me stranded with no way to get to work until she felt like I was stressed enough to 'learn my lesson'

Mom is soooo very wrong. She's a simple being and sadly the daughter loses out on a relationship with her mother. I hope the nephew is there for her when she's elderly and needing help to wash, eat and get around. I'm almost certain he won't be.
This is so unfortunate and also relatable. How many times have we all had misunderstandings with family members, but chose to cut each other off instead of just apologizing and moving forward? I really liked that the judge was trying to get them back on good terms, but seems as though the mom is stuck in her ways even though she knows she was wrong. I hope they mend their relationship in the future. ❤️
Its called a non owners policy. Its for ppl who have a DL but no car. It covers them if they cause an accident & won't go against the car owners insurance.
That question at the end said it all. That old woman knew exactly what she was doing and she’s pissed off that her daughter advocated for herself and won. She was good as long as she could manipulate and control her. But now that her daughter is free and she’s stuck with all the financial responsibilities, she’s pissed. Why can’t the grandson and pseudo granddaughter in-law pay for the car? They are the chosen ones, right?
I'm a firm believer that no one, again no one should take you for granted, take advantage of you or disrespect you. That goes for spouses, children, parents and whoever. Mother is so wrong. Courtney go to heck and figure it out.
Well we all know that car is going to get repossessed pretty soon. Grandma and her grandson don't have 2 nickles to rub together. It's better for the daughter that she's out of this nightmare.
Does anyone actually believe that the grandson isn’t driving that car?? Because we all know he is. The mom is a foolish old woman. And seriously one car between 4 grown adults lol. Get your lives in order.
Come on Judge, talking like poor old mom doesn't understand anything like she's a babe in the woods. Mom knows and understands everything she just didn't care. She wanted what she wanted and that was it.

How sad some people can and they are fine with it!! Wow!
I wouldn’t be surprised if the sorry grandson pressured her to do what she did! Especially since he lives in the house with her. And, we all know that car isn’t sitting. The son and his girl are driving it. At least the daughter doesn’t have to be worried about being held liable if they crash it.
Ok so the daughter is relieved of responsibility for the car now, grandma, who will never drive this car, owns it & now has to pay the full payments? This is going to be a hot mess w/ the grandson.
@@tangoandali6112 rhetorical question I assume. That is besides the point. The daughter could have purchased the vehicle on her own. But instead dragged her mother into it because she needed her and then has a sense of entitlement. If she doesn’t pay who will they pin it on? It won’t be the one paying the car payment and insurance. It will be both of them!
I'm a first time mom and my daughter is only 4 months old but I know I will NEVER choose anyone or anything over her. This is sad. What a worthless mom
Its not just “anyone”. Its her grandson. She has two daughters. If you had two daughters and they was in a squabble, or your daughters child and your daughter put you in the middle of a squabble you would most definitely have to choose. Who needs more protection? Daughter one or daughter two?
The daughter should have gotten a cheaper car in her OWN name. A $500 month car note is expensive. I think the mother is upset that they did not move in together in January.
Everybody doesn't realize that the mother is very old and doesn't understand the shared politics of owning a car or the responsibilities behind it! I get it! Her mother was easily taken advantage of by her lowlife nephew. The daughter also has issues of going thru a divorce and being financially unstable!! This whole case is sad 😔
So are you saying old people are just stupid or naive? So people like her can hold jobs, raise kids, run businesses, have bank accounts, buy and cook food, dress and wash themselves but once they get "old" they just forget everything and all common sense and world experience they had goes out the window. She is not suffering from dementia, she knows everything she just didn't care. She wanted something her way everything else aside.
Not in a million years could I Sue my momma. I would have to eat that and chalk it up. i could Never Never sue my mom. ever. but then again I had a great awesome loving momma, no dysfunction or toxicity...
It's sad that the mom sent the police. Hindsight is 20/20. But I wonder if when the cops arrived the daughter could have or should have told the police that the mom doesn't have a license. And if the mom had someone else drive the care away, maybe she could have cancelled the insurance immediately that way no one could drive the car. This is so sad that a mother and daughter are fighting over money. I miss my mom. Today, July 6th, would have been my mom's 87th birthday.
I bet soon as that nephew/grandson heard grandma got a car with auntie he was like I want that too along with paying all my utilities and half the rent. He seems selfish not the daughter/auntie.
Definitely not the relationship I had with my mother. If my mom didn’t or couldn’t pay me back (I would never “loan” her money to begin with, I would just give her what she needs) I would NEVER sue my mother for anything!!!!
The relationship is not over over a car. It is over because both women have not learned to be fiscally responsible, and the mother is of a mind set that is incompatible with having a relationship. No one owes fidelity to a parent or family member whose behavior is detrimental to their well being. Sometimes, some people have to justifiably divorce themselves from family.
Why is a future (grand)daughter-in-law "FDIL" who obviously has serious entitlement issues like the mother 🤦why is that person & the grandson more important than mom's own daughter?? chances are the GSson and "FDIL" unemployed & with kids, cuz Grandma enables them (1/2 the rent & ALL the utilities???) but Grandma's SS supports all of them except the daughter! 🤦🤦 D had a legitimate agreement with her own mother but Mom totally ignores the laws regarding lawfully driving a car. Another wager easily won: "FDIL" has suspended DL, zero insurance and either her or GS crash the car soon after driving. Then all bets are off - cuz ZERO car at all. I'm not a gambler but those of us who watch these Court shows know the odds favor their bad choices, not the daughter. Very sad. Toxic mom, is correct, per other comments here 💔
Grandma gone be left holding the bag for a car she can't drive 😭 and the daughter is older and knows her mother is being taken advantage of and definitely not the time to write her off. I see the big deal but it's a reconcilable situation
This woman understands clearly what she was doing she wasn’t ignorant to insurance and how it works. Grandson was in her ear telling her that’s your car and she sided with him.
Mom's got everything she wanted now but I don't think she understands that also means all of the responsibility, whenever the third party crash it, get tickets or any number of things that could and probably will go wrong, she's going to be left holding the bag. The third parties sound conniving and manipulative, the daughter is better off staying away from them all.

Wow... this is what being stubborn and "stuck in your ways" looks like. Over a damn car. 🙄 Mom needs to learn how to forgive and move on. It's not worth being unmoveable over something that she was wrong about.
Well let it be over Ms. Patricia and see what your lousy grandson does for you when you need someone to feed and bathe you. He nor his baby mama will...absolutely ridiculous!
The son was the one probably telling his mother that he needed the car and that it was unfair . Her mother seems easily influenced . My mother and grandmother shared a car because my grandmother doesn’t like driving . But that eventually went south as well
This is such a great daughter.
I assume that’s a joke.
Sounds like "grandson" is taking advantage of his Grandma. It sounds like he is the problem...
But why does the mom have dark blinkers on...can't she see who's behaving responsibly...driver her as per word given, & paying insurance?
Yes, and his wife too. Their not even paying their fair portion of rent and utilities while living with her with their children smh!!
Never ever buy a car or house with anyone it will cause trouble just get your own.
The mother looks like she’s something else
What kind of mother would send police to her daughter when she is driving the mom & keeping her word? She favors the licenseless nephew more...well...she'll find out if he will drive her to where she wants to go!!
yeah, i was flabbergasted
Hopefully the Plaintiff gets on her feet soon. Two households sharing 1 car is crazy. And I’m pretty sure the nephew is gonna have a million and 1 excuses why he can’t take her where she needs to go smh
A Mother & Daughter bond should be more important than any amount of money, WOW work that out while there is time left, SMH
♥️ 💯
R U KIDDING ME THIS OLD WOMAN IS A DISGRACE TO GRANDMOTHERS EVERYWHERE
I think the daughter needs to have some accountability too! I mean come on, no financial stability, bad credit, social security income, borrowing money, etc. and before people say don’t judge … just think, this is a woman who takes two hours to get ready and missed the bank to pay a bill. No wonder she has bad credit. She’s irresponsible.
don't judge
@@lawjd96 😂😂
They both unstable living with others
She said she has MS.
And what does any of that have to do with this situation?
the mother re-possessed the car from the daughter by calling the police and getting them involved...just wow
@@thatvalensteingirl I totally get that it was just her name on the title and she has a right to do that my concern was that her daughter used that car to take the repossessor places that she needed to go and yet mom wasn't considerate enough to let the car remain with the daughter and wanted to give it to someone who wasn't in all likelihood going to be nearly as helpful as the daughter was to the mother
@@lawjd96 Oh absolutely, but it always comes down to a power play.
Her daughter said no, so she just took it back and felt justified in doing so. Regardless of what has happened or what they'd planned, her grandson was in her ear and her daughter was across town; he had more influence.
Why did it take her more than 2.5 hours just to pay the car note? That shady. The mom is shady but girl didn’t your note is due get out of bed and don’t take 2 hours to get ready.
The mother doesn't understand that loaning the car to the grandson, with no license is a great liability for her daughter as a co -oner. Hopefully they can mend their relationship, to what it used to be...
Now the old lady has to pay utilities, half the rent and a car note
Thats what Im saying! She will have to pay that car note from now on by herself! OH DEAR!
Mom is soooo very wrong. She's a simple being and sadly the daughter loses out on a relationship with her mother. I hope the nephew is there for her when she's elderly and needing help to wash, eat and get around. I'm almost certain he won't be.
Hard to believe the mother would take away a car from the daughter to give to anyone!
Very sad that a mother daughter relationship is ruined over a car dispute
I'm pretty sure it's never been that great.
Mom doesn't strike me as someone that ever apologizes.
When somebody is a piece of garbage the best thing to do is to get away from them.
This is sad. This pain runs deep.
I wish the daughter good health and GOD speed!. Old mama need to pray more for change.
How's the grandsons fiancé have car insurance but no car?
You can't. Unless you sell your car and keep making payments on it
Its called a non owners policy.
Sounds like the whole family needs to get their life in order.
JM was uncharacteristically nice to the defendant. Although she really didn’t deserve it. I think she wasn’t as oblivious as she pretended to be.
It’s not over a car. It’s over the mother choosing the grandson over her
Does anyone actually believe that the grandson isn’t driving that car?? Because we all know he is. The mom is a foolish old woman. And seriously one car between 4 grown adults lol. Get your lives in order.
Come on Judge, talking like poor old mom doesn't understand anything like she's a babe in the woods. Mom knows and understands everything she just didn't care. She wanted what she wanted and that was it.
💯 Exactly
The mom said her grandson had a rental for 2 weeks & she wanted him to save his $. How did a non licensed person rent a car?
I feel bad for the plaintiff... That grandmother isn't doing that grandson or his family a bit of good either... Coddling the wrong people and being totally disrespectful, spiteful and hurtful to the other... Yikes!
I bet that grandson not gonna pay that car note when it’s due!!!!
Why would you do that type of business with your mom while she living with someone else that’s stupiid it’s self. Then let you tell it she’s living with a shady low down person.
Damn they seem to have a lot of bad luck going on, just use public transportation
Good thing the car was completely in mom's name so that the daughter can disconnect from it cleanly.
Disowning your child over MONEY! 💰 What the hell is this world 🌎 coming to. Smh😒 very sad 😞
Wow! How sad they both say their relationship is over! I’m sorry, I cannot understand at all how people could be so petty. Cars, houses, money, etc., can all be easily replaced! Your mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, etc., cannot!! There is no way in heck I would put anything before my relationship with a close loved one!! No way in he-!
Sounds like everyone is taking advantage of the mother.
That's what I got from this🤔
Who's paying the car payment and insurance
@@tangoandali6112 rhetorical question I assume. That is besides the point. The daughter could have purchased the vehicle on her own. But instead dragged her mother into it because she needed her and then has a sense of entitlement. If she doesn’t pay who will they pin it on? It won’t be the one paying the car payment and insurance. It will be both of them!
This is horrible. I hope they make amends..... before it's to late
2 hrs to get dressed....girl get yourself together and make it to the bank!
No that's cheap
@@Channel-JJ Agree 100%
She isn't too old to understand. Stop making excuses for people
She’s not very old. She does understand that her grandson has no license and insurance.
Not in a million years could I Sue my momma. I would have to eat that and chalk it up. i could Never Never sue my mom. ever. but then again I had a great awesome loving momma, no dysfunction or toxicity...
That mother is pure evil.
No way I'm suing my mother!.....I have not even watched the episode yet.
I would have NO PROBLEM suing my mother if she wronged me. I'm not letting her fck me over just because she gave birth to me.
Same here just started watching
It's sad that the mom sent the police. Hindsight is 20/20. But I wonder if when the cops arrived the daughter could have or should have told the police that the mom doesn't have a license. And if the mom had someone else drive the care away, maybe she could have cancelled the insurance immediately that way no one could drive the car. This is so sad that a mother and daughter are fighting over money. I miss my mom. Today, July 6th, would have been my mom's 87th birthday.
@@HeyMsVal So sorry for you loss, there's no love like a mother's love. My heart goes out to you, lots of love and hugs to you ❤️
@@sheilae.9670 THANK YOU 😊
Neither of these women are fiscally responsible.
There are a lot of narcissistic parents out in the world. Once they get what they want from you they diss you and have no empathy of any wrong doing.
Sad. I hope daughter gets over this. Mom won’t be here forever.
WOW this is sooooooooo sad!😕
I bet soon as that nephew/grandson heard grandma got a car with auntie he was like I want that too along with paying all my utilities and half the rent. He seems selfish not the daughter/auntie.
This was not over a car. This was over betrayal over a garbage grandson.
Gentle mother
Oh that lady knows. She is far far from stupid. Old gets you out of alot obviously. She's OLD NOT DUMB
Definitely not the relationship I had with my mother. If my mom didn’t or couldn’t pay me back (I would never “loan” her money to begin with, I would just give her what she needs) I would NEVER sue my mother for anything!!!!
Right?
D had a legitimate agreement with her own mother but Mom totally ignores the laws regarding lawfully driving a car.
Very sad.
Toxic mom, is correct, per other comments here 💔
So what you're saying is mom is a gangsta granny and favors No License Larry (grandson) over Daughter. 😁
The defendant looks like Grandma from “Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood” lol
Grandma gone be left holding the bag for a car she can't drive 😭 and the daughter is older and knows her mother is being taken advantage of and definitely not the time to write her off. I see the big deal but it's a reconcilable situation
I feel bad that the relationship was so negatively affected by this disagreement.
Since the matter has been resolved they should go back to being mother and daughter. Hope they make up because if not they'll regret it later on.
Are people that dumb that they don't understand that you need a licence to drive AND insurance for additional drivers?...
I would go broke for my mom but my mom would never ask for anything...
Unreal!!!
SO MANY QUESTIONS! SAD! letting a car come between them! how was the nephew/grandson getting around before this car came in the picture?!THIS! is DEEPER! than a car issue! BOTH! of them seem to have financial issues, it’s just SAD! that the plaintiff couldn’t afford a car on her own, this is ANOTHER one of these situations where you have to love family from afar for your own sake & sanity. (Judge Karen Mills Francis)
So sad 😞
Golly. A car is going to break up your mother /daughter relationship? You are both too old to behave like teenagers. When does the maturity level kick in that allows you both to learn from mistakes and put it behind you? What happened to working through problems? Forgiveness? Don't be as cold as the world you live in. Think! 💡
Judge always goes soft on the elderly. Me personally them being old should make them more intelligent but hey 🙄 that momma know what she did and she was wrong period
The daughter of a real problem
IGNORANCE OF THE LAW IS NO EXCUSE. She said it so many times before. I DONT DRIVE, I HAVE NO LICENSE, BUT I DO KNOW ABOUT INSURANCE doesn't cover my ass or anyone else's if I ducked up with a car. I hate that older ppl get away with shit sometimes (and young ppl too!!)
Poor Judge J looks like she's ready to fall asleep. Mother and nephew are shady.
So, mama wanted to borrow the car so that her *”Granddaughter-in-law to-be”* could drive it? 😂
Certain themes repeat. Failed car financing agreements and failed financial arrangements involving sharing housing and cars, failures of party planners and wedding planners, failure to follow the law and having legal problems, liars, scammers, and being on disability
The mother sounds like mine 😂 throwing shade
