My pre face-lift c320 hasn't got a dipstick. It measures the amount electronically. I'm in a similar boat to you where I have just obtained the car and giving it some TLC. I uave one annoying CEL fault code P0410 which is the Secondary Air injection System. I'm currently trying to locate the issue and I think the check valves have a carbon deposit build up so going to clean those hopefully will sort it out. Generally with that code it's that rather than thr pump not working
I do like the electronic measurement, but the dip stick I don’t mind either. What year is yours? Let me know if you were able to resolve the P0410 code.
@@HeyboysGarage mine is a 2002. It's only got 38000 miles on it. The previous owner was an old man who only drove it a few miles to the shops. Apart from that error code it's in mint condition and the engine is smooth with plenty of life ahead. Also no rust on this chassis. Amazing for a 20 year old car

About 7.5 quarts. Honestly just use the dip stick to check or the ECU if it don’t have a dipstick
