    Much love to you two! I'm moving into my father's house he left to me as he passed on at 98. Left me a pretty nice house and 2 really cool German cars. I'm 72 right now and my wife of 47 years can not live with me because she has Alzheimer's. It makes it kinda hard, it's just me and Deuce the Labrador Retriever. Mr Whitlock you keep doing everything you do,it is just a delight to hear you talk about your heritage and past musical history, as well as the great new things that you are involved in today. I get such a kick out of hearing you, you make my day many, many times over!

    I have the urge to speak out and say how much I love your voice Bobby. I'm 69 this year and I started playing music in 1965. The first time I heard your voice was when you were with D&B. Then came the Layla album. Without you that album would not have the kick it does. In other words you make it what it is. You were all amazing on that project but your soulful vocal work and writing are beyond reproach. You've brought tears to my eyes hearing some of your vocal performances.

    In a world where everyone is looking for a quick buck it’s refreshing to see Bobby creating art for art’s sake. Bobby isn’t defined by how much money he makes from his work. His art is free of ego and is a reflection of his spirit. This applies to his music as well. Bobby focuses on creating first and lets the money follow up instead of having money as the primary goal. That is how a real artist behaves.

    • @SlowBluesInc
      @SlowBluesInc Год назад

      I don't think the point of the question was in increasing profits or snatching a quick buck, but rather for those who would love to own a piece of his art, but simply can’t afford the original. In any case, I can still completely understand and respect why he doesn't do that.

    Bobby is STILL right about All Things Must Pass. A friend played it at an event in his production room. He said it sounded like piss through a drainage grate. Never heard that phrase before, but I dig it.

    Here's a question for you. I saw Blind Faith in Honolulu....their last stop on their only tour. Can't remember if the opening act was D&B or a local group. Can't find any info on the Internet about it. Maybe you can help. Great concert! Ric Grech, Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker were outstanding of course but was really impressed with Steve Winwood. Wrote, arranged & sang most of the songs. On the extended dual guitar solo on "Had to Cry Today " he held his own with Clapton.

    Great to see and hear a new video! I have been binge watching your videos-my husband is older than me so I’m learning more about the music and musicians that have inspired him over the years. Jumping back to music-I was really hoping you would share a little something about Billy Preston! Also, do you believe he actually wrote, “My Sweet Lord” or other Beatle hits?! Also, I read somewhere that the Edwin Hawkins singers sang back up on this song-am I remembering accurately? I never hear anything about them, but I know they were in Europe from the Scandinavian clips. Your paintings are wonderful! Have you ever ventured to the great music store in Lansing , MI? I know, lots of questions!!!

    The inner voice on your art is definitely the Spirit - pardon me for injecting that powerful name into your space - but, you will sell paintings for awhile as a professional artist/artiste and then at some point you will probably sell prints as well. That is the way artists work. In my home we have several prints, and several original paintings; however, it is years after the original has been sold before a print is then made. Obviously the print is made prior to sale, but no print is sold until the artist or the artist’s carriers decide the prints can now be sold - because the original is owned by one person. I understand the question and I understand your heart’s position. Merely focus on what God gives you. And as CoCo said, “thank you.“🎸👨🏼‍⚕️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇺🇸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    Seems like lithograph or print would be up to the owner like you said Bobby , for instance the owner of H&R Bloch Henry Bloch here in K.C had a modest home but had art collection worth enough to buy an island to say the least that security became a risk so he had prints professionally made to display in his home then he let Nelson Atkins museum display the
    originals .
    On another note I’m watching Elvis that’s the way it is with James burton playing guitar one of my fav players , he falls into place with duck Dunn ,Bobby Whitlock as my all time fav cool cats ! Kinda havin flashbacks of visiting Beale street in my 20s man that place was sketchy after dark .
    Anyways thanks CoCo & Bobby im having a perfect morning and youguys are a big part of it , thanks again

I know he and Eric wanted to sing the vocals like Sam and Dave, but their harmonies blend so well, I cant tell if Eric is singing lead with Bobby on baritone and then Bobby overdubbing a tenor vocal, or it's purely a two part harmony.
