Oldest Sportspal canoe I've worked on. part 1

This refurbishment has many items in it and requires a 2 peice. This part includes the keel installation, and a full gunnel replacement. Part 2 will be soon as this one is a tight timeline. #canoe #sportspal

I have my grandfathers old square stern SportsPal in the backyard. It needs new wood on the transom and the floatation foam/fenders replaced, the interior foam is in pretty good shape since it's usually keel up on some sawhorses. The keel and gunnels are in good shape, and it does hold water (in if I leave it right side up). He got it in the late 1970's if I remember right, or possibly the early 80's.
