I would love to see Rimmy set up a 7 Days to Die multi-team server where the goal is to fight zombies and each other, which of course requires finding each other and doing some base building for supporting your team's fight. After 28 days (or four blood moons rather), the game ends and the scores are tallied up. Zombies slain are 1 point each; human deaths on your side are negative 10 points each (or something like that for balance -- I can't recall if 7DtD tracks casualties given to other teams.)
All the drunken miners I've encountered are more fond of pickups and shotguns than mortars, so your statement holds. I do know of a few incidents involving old dynamite, though... Can't say I've been to Coober Pedy, I live in New Mexico.
