    Corrections:
    3:46 - The set up shown is a little off. There should be five Spacing Guild forces in Tuek's Sietch, and the Fremen should be in Sietch Tabr, not Habbanya Sietch. (thanks to multiple people for noting this)
    6:28 - On the first turn's Spice Blow, I forgot to mention that any drawn and ignored Shai-Hulud cards should be shuffled back into the deck.
    8:12 - The Bidding Phase can also end early if no one bids on a card, in which case all other treachery cards are discarded.
    9:00 - You have to be in the same location to pick up Spice, I accidentally said sector.
    14:53 - The Lasgun/Shield explosion can also be triggered if one player plays both cards. (Thanks to Irene for pointing this out)
    20:30 - While I correctly list the Fremen's starting locations, I accidentally placed some in Habbanya Sietch instead of Sietch Tabr. (Thanks to JadedAF for spotting this one)

    Hi! What number of treachery cards can be used in a battle plan? Special cards like Weather Control are discard after the are used? Thank you.

    • @RTFM
      @RTFM  2 года назад

      During battle, if you use a leader (or are playing a cheap hero instead), you can put down one weapon and one defense. If you don't have a leader or cheap hero, you can't play any cards in the battle plan.
      Special cards are discarded, except for Family Atomics, which is removed from the game.

    • @raulflechamayordomo4357
      @raulflechamayordomo4357 2 года назад +1

      @@RTFM Thank you!
      I thought that one player (player A) could play, for example, two weapons cards (a poison and a projectile) and a defense card (shield) and the other player (player B) could play a weapon card (projectile) and a defense card (shield). So the projectiles of both players was countered by shields but the poison of player A killed the leader of player B. I thought there was no limit to the number of treachery cards used in a battle plan.
      So to confirm, the maximum number of cards used in a battle plan will be always 2, (including worthless cards, which cannot be discarded, they can only be discarded using them in a battle plan) and 3 cards if a cheap leader is used.

    And second question - used locations and treachery cards go to the bottom of the existing piles or we wait till we use them all up and then shuffle and start a new location/trachery pile?

    • @RTFM
      @RTFM  10 месяцев назад +1

      The rulebook isn't super clear about passing during bidding, but my interpretation is that you can jump back in. You do make a discard pile for the location cards because you'll need it when you draw a worm, and I'm pretty sure you use a discard for treachery as well, though I couldn't find anything specific in the rules.

      Anyone (except the Fremen) can ship in forces pretty much anywhere during their turn on the shipment phase. They don't need to go where you already have forces. They can even be shipped into a location where there are already another player's forces.

    • @jmnemonic99
      @jmnemonic99 3 года назад +1

      But you can only do one shipment per turn.
      The obvious ploy is for the Emperor to ship forces into the unoccupied strongholds, winning in three turns if unopposed.
      Therefore, the emperor must be opposed before being allowed to do this, by having other factions either move from existing forces on the board or from their own reserves.

    It's unclear to me from the rule: can the Fremen choose to pay for shipment to a territory not the Great Flat (or within two territories of it), as if they were off-planet? If by doing so, does it not trigger the off-planet advisor rule of the BG as well?
    I think the most literal reading of RAW is that they cannot: the Guild can only ship (and receive payment from) factions that are off-planet; the Fremen are described as being on planet even if not on map; therefore the Fremen cannot pay the Guild for movement, and therefore the BG never get to attach an advisor.
    This would mean that the Fremen also cannot initiate an appearance in any sector other than their starting locations, the Great Flat, or territories two territories from it.
    Could the Fremen enter an alliance with the Guild and pay half price to have their forces shipped from reserve ("on Dune") instead of just from one territory to another? It would be admittedly unusual for the Fremen and the Guild to ally with each other, so maybe this is too obscure to need clarification.

    • @RTFM
      @RTFM  3 года назад +1

      You have it right. The Fremen have no off-planet reserves, so they can't choose to ship in anywhere other than locations near the Great Flat. An alliance with the Guild doesn't change this, however I believe you can still use the Guild's ability to ship your forces from one location to another on the map.

      "losing player loses all forces they had in the territory" regardless of the number dialed.
      If both players eg dialed 0 forces, no treachery cards or relevant traitor cards, and the leaders themselves were tied in strength, it would be a numerical tie and then the First Player would win (breaks ties).
