Also just to clarify, Caliban, Trin and Nyx being up for the next reworks is the reason I think Valk is more up to this title. Hope you guys enjoyed.
I hope she doesn't lose her invincibility... Unless her kit becomes insanely fun
She's kinda in a position where vauban was in before his rework. Strong, but boring? Kinda like that. Her 4 is good but has crap range compared to similar others and the rest of her kit dosen't help out as much.
Personally i think oberon should get a rework or buff, caliban is good if you build him right, same with oberon but oberon is in a much worse spot imo
@@Confused_Slime Yes, Oberon is, and the key thing I find, is it is due to how radiation works, which he relies on to be effective more than others.
The fact it triggers, then does not makes him tough in many situations.
That sets up the need to make his abilities last a really long time, have really big range and really high strength to compensate for that, and also take advantage of everything when it works.
Other frames that rely on elemental damage, like Hydroid, do not suffer this problem, because their element triggers, and keeps going.

He is just another frame that got gutted because they nerfed armor extremely. He just doesn’t have enough survivability even though he is a support frame, so he should be surviving easier than the glass cannon frames but he isn’t.
Its kinda weird that the public perception of valkyr is that shes weak in terms of damage. It happened multiple times already that i went through a mission with valkyr and had people asking me how thats possible even tho she always could deal tons of damage.
Problem is that stat wise, her claws are one of the fastest melees, while functionality wise, they're slower than Keratinos with spoiled strike. You need slide attacks to get any actual speed, even with max attack speed builds.

Another couple things to note:
Valkyrie claws get a 46X multiplier on the true damage from ground finishers, VS every other melee that does about 6x-16x iirc.
This synergizes reallllly well with Vazarins 2nd ability that allows to to vacuum in enemies and opens them to ground finishers.
Another thing, it’s not very useful, but her 3rd ability open enemies up to finishers currently, and is still Niche at best though.
One thing I miss from Old Hysteria, before the last melee rework, is that the old stance would allow you to hold Melee for a drop kick that could force any enemy to the ground and open them up to ground finishers instantly.
For her kit rework, some simple changes could be moving the slow from her 2 to her 2nd ability, and the stun from 3rd to her 2nd.
(These changes alone could help her kit a LOT, as her 3 is recastable and 2 is made usually to not want to recast)
Also yes to being able to group enemies with maybe a held version of her 1, and parkour still with non held version.

It would be cool if activating Paralysis reapplied Warcry's slow to new groups of enemies. As it is currently the slow is normally completely forgotten about.

I love valkyr she’s one of my favourite endurance frames for long survival or exterminate missions. I even use her in elite deep and netracells and she holds up quite well with her melee playstyle
btw, hysteria benefits from gladiator set bonus equipped in your melee (not talons) so you can easily hit red crits without wrathful advance and gain a shit ton of dmg (like nourish and go full strength because of energy multi)

Nourish offers you very little because of the poor status chance. Better off running Mystic Bond and Ophanim Eyes honestly as energy economy is trivial on her these days.
@@tomj819 you can reach a good status chance, but still for the base dmg it is really good (also now status gives dmg multiplier vs factions) + energy multiplier so that you can have hysteria forever with -effi. Ophanim eyes don't do anything on her because of the armor cap + she has so much dmg that she 1 shots anything without armor strip, and slow does nothing cause you're invincible

3 is really good you just need to mod around it. It stuns acolytes. One of the most underated cc in the game as with the augment and can pull in a group of enemies while knocking them down on the floor for a vazdirn tenno tree group finisher i can show you a build since it is a difficult case.
The reason finishers are important is because while the max finisher dmg a weapon can be is at 20x base finisher dmg on gauntlets talons have 55x finisher damage.

You missed out on arcane Battery giving her +1000 energy wen war cry is up pairing that with nurish an boom no energy problems
I really like Valkyrie's first ability! I think it's fun. Sometimes the ability isn't the most powerful or useful, but it's still a lot of fun! There are more maps with a lot of verticality, and in those cases, it's really good.

No chance they end up nerfing her. In fact I think they will never change her at all , she seems like one of those warframes that DE considers ok because of the Helminth system.

I do a slam build for hysteria. Not the best dps, but i like one tapping enemies pre-primed. With netracells, is fine, but with cavia assasination missions in steelpath, have to switch to spin to win.
Ive been enjoying the 3 augment a lot, I just think that the pull should be in the base kit and the slow/strength based duration boost should be the augment. But at base her 3 is kinda uninteresting

This should be top comment, it completely counters the premise of this video to 3 good ability and 1 bad one, which definitely needs a rework

I've ever since Gloom was a thing, I've always wanted her 3rd to be a gloom like ability, with it paralyzing enemies in a radius around her when she gets a melee kill and giving her some shields when she kills an enemy. Make it cost shields over time instead of energy to balance it out too
I put 5 purple tauforge shards on my Valkyr for the crits
Valkyr would benefit a lot from a boost in status chance. Crit is for the cute numbers.
Maybe could make the 1 as the doom shotgun meathook, it get you the enemy and open it to an 3xecution

I think Valkyr's first ability is alright. I'd only change it so that holding the ability activates a finisher instead of lau ching them.
However, her 3 is unacceptable. You gave a stun to a frame that will insta-kill anything in that same radius.
Instead of prime flow I use Arcane Battery and and an armour increase mod. It means when warcry is active I have a pool of 1000 energy. So Running out is never a worry.

She's my Queen to my King Excalibur. She is a beast, but she does need a new one and 3.. lol
I main Trinity and I'm nervous. (she was even my first prime) Especially after Jade shadows, I replaced her #1 with Jades subsume... that stacks with link+augment so everything is stripped, slowed and dying around her lmfao.

Yeah I don't know man, Valkyr mains absolutely love her Immortal Build. Caliban however has a good kit but can and should be better. It does feel like his 1st is probably the most lackluster ability but he's more than capable at doing hard content easily. I would recommend watching Professor Dysto's video on him. By far the two highest on my list is definitely Trinity and Nyx. Nyx feels useless because in a meta of constant AOE clearing having AOE CC is not that useful. And Trinity, c'mon all of her old super broken builds were all basically removed with her changes within the past years.

What about making the paralysis augment baseline? Skill seems to be a pretty good grouping skill with the augment. Doubly so if they also mase it not cost shields to cast. Question then is what would they give to it as an augment.

There is just no synergy here alot of armor with ability that increases armor yet invulnerable in her 4 the damage colletion and energy drain gimic needs to go maybe give her 90% DR with status immunity better than complete invulnerability would make rage usefull to upkeep the energy drain even if its above the likes of excal
Maybe the 3rd could be a 9 lives thing like dagath extra live in place of her lost infinite which i know is geat but seems out of place
Hey Guapee, I recently built Voruna and I was wondering how you would make our beloved Wolf Mommy work, as I can’t find a build anywhere.
Depends on how you want to build her. For a build around her 4 the new augment is really good. They also changed it so that her 3 gives you health globes on kills caused by 2 and 4, so you can run equilibrium to stay full on energy. You build her for strength (precision intensify is great here) with some range and duration, press 1 and 3 when needed. Press 2 on an enemy and follow up with 4. After a while you will reach the 10x damage multiplier and hit enemies for 5 million damage insta killing most enemies with a single slash proc.
While i dont use it on my valkyr cos i would have to build range on my duration/strenght valkyr, her augment for paralsis is a pretty dope CC skill that can set up finishers really well.
Also warcry argument is a lie, just tap the button again.

Valkyr need reworks on her first and 3rd ability. Maybe like some grouping on first ability and an armor strip on 3rd. Also they can change how hysteria moveset so we can do more than slide attk
3rd it really good with augment as it knocks down enemies and sucks in for group finishers with a stun not based on duration but powerstrength. most weapons have from 10x to max 20x finisher damage, valkyr talons have 55x amd high crit.
1st ability is fun not everything is damage meta and several community games are based on ripline you can pull someone into extraction. And if a butcher pull me with a hook I can get proper revenge and yoink him back.

Well idk about 3rd augment bcs no one use it as far as i seen, but still no one really use her 1st and 3rd ability that is why it need a rework. Same. Her Ripline is the reason I prefer her to other melee frames.
Wrathful Advance is unnecessary diminishing returns if you run Gladiator set on your melee. Much better off running Ophanim Eyes with Diriga and Mystic Bond as its cast will always be free, and the damage boost is much bigger on the enemies where you need the damage. Her 1 is also really useful for not falling off the map and losing an Ability Strength snapshot from Madurai, Grimoire, Growing Power and Power Drain on the 2 and 4.
Only thing she needs is a stance rework as Hysteria is pretty boring to use. Her abilities are fine as they are and allow a decent range of viable ways to build her. There was a time she fell behind but the last year has seen a dozen stealth buffs to her that make her absolutely cracked, particularly in the game's top tier difficulty modes...
I consider myself a Valkyr main. She is amazing ofc her 2 and 4 are great but her 1 is why prefer her over other melee frames.
I run nourish or roar depending on content.
I really hope they don't ruin my valkyr build, she makes level cap so easy. Go rework an awful frame like revenant or something instead. All we need is for rip line to say, grab 5 enemies bunch them up in front of you (not launch them behind you) and make her 3rd an armour strip.
I like nyx a lot. She is very lean like ember but taller.

I’m confused. I helminth’d warcry on my ash prime and i swear it seemed like the buff only applied to allies at not myself. Is that only the case for the helminth version?

Ripline needs more range and to retain more momentum, her 3 needs to be good to be worth the synergy with her 4

Valkitty definitely needs a rework. imo her functional abilities are just as problematic as her useless ones.
Ripline. Has two problems: 1. its single target and throws enemies over your back 2. pulling yourself is janky as hell similar to Zephyr. If it was instead a tap/hold ability - and if it hit all enemies in a cone rather than needing to be aimed - it would already be a lot more useful. Make it more controllable and even with parkour 2.0 you‘d be good.
Warcry. This ability needs its augment. Some abilities are just bad without their augment, but Warcry is downright unusable because of its short duration. The buffs are also not very high; plus they‘re additive to mods. It needs the augment innately and a way to reapply the slow at the very least. I don‘t even use it on my Hysteria build because of how bad it is - and lets not forget that most of its benefits don‘t do anything during Hysteria!
Paralysis. Doesn‘t the augment for this ability actually make it worse? They could move the slow from Warcry to Paralysis, or make it properly open enemies to finishers instead of the nonsense it has currently going both alone and with its augment.
Hysteria. This ability is just soooo poorly designed. It makes you invulnerable - and gives you lifesteal, while you already have high armor. It‘s energy drain is ludicrous - no, „its doable with an endgame setup“ is no excuse. Abilities should work out of the box. Imagine if instead of storing damage, it drained health instead of energy. Or if the stored damage would be applied with a slight delay, instead of when the ability ends. In this hypothetical, you would actually be encouraged to keep fighting and use the lifesteal in order to refill your constantly draining health - or kill enemies to prevent their stored damage from killing you in the other example.
And don‘t get my started on how asinine it is that only her slide attack is any good, or how awful her augments are with one of them straight up not working.
Alright valk main here, personal thoughts.
1. ripline is cool but needs an update allowing you to move while casting, pull you towards enemies, and some other effect.
2. warcry while not an awful ability is also not that meaningful with all the sources of attack speed in the game such as arcane strike, melee mods, or other abilities. its augment of all that should be baked into the ability is the worst offender in the game.
3. is worthless just remove it for literally anything else.
4. the only good thing about hysteria is the slide attack and i dont think many people really enjoy slide spam since the maiming strike days, yeah she is invulnerable but it restricts you to her awful claws (with exception to slide spam) you can do better by playing any other tank frame with warcry put on them.
personally i would love to see a full rework to make her like a proper berserker frame with some kind of rage meter, the only issue is this may feel too similar to baruuk.
