Has the V6 given you any problems over the years, I have a chance to buy a 88 GT and with 110,000 miles on it it looks great he wants $4,700. Just don’t want to get something that I’m going to have issues with.
@@tomdiets5079 The only issue I had was a failed ignition module while it was still under warranty. Other than that, I have had zero issues with the engine itself. It fires up every single time that I turn the key. Of course, I take very good care of it. The distributor o-ring always leaks on these engines. I pulled the distributor and replaced it myself. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
Ive had mine for 5 years now. If its a manual trans check the clutch pedal to see if its magnetic or not. Mine bent and left me stranded, but other than that no issues, just really crappy paint.
It’s awesome that you know how to do all those things. I will love the Fieros I have an 87 GT with a 3800 supercharged V6. Saving my money to put new suspension in the front. I love the fact that you have the T tops very rare car, I wish there was a way we could chat about these cars. Just awesome seeing other people that have a passion for the Fieros.
The fastback design started on the ‘86 GT. of course less expensive than the ‘88 if you want to save and get the same look without the price of an ‘88. Obviously the last year of production is the most desirable in technology. The particular model you have is rare as well if you have plans to upgrade i’ll be more than happy to give my personal opinion having owned four my brother
Come to Florida I've seen twelve fastbacks for sale in my area alone. Some driving, some needing work. They are not as rare as you think. Junkyards full of parts taken off to build kit cars as well.
just found you Fieroboyyyyy!!!!!!! always wanted one , my first car was a firebird XS 1989 thats the california special, trans am body with the 2.8 stock hood t tops flowmaster
I have a black 88 GT that I bought new in November of 1987. Still looks great and runs like new. It’s still fun to drive after all these years.
cool. i just snagged up 86 gt fastback 3 months ago
