It's a very good video regarding Indian Railways turntable! I'm very inspired!!! Very soon I must make a turntable for my model railroad layout!!!! Thanks for this video...... It'll solve lots of problem regarding my primary diagram of turntable! Thanks a lot.....

Wow! I saw on very old pictures when people pushed locomotive on turntable. But I even couldn't imagine that somewhere in the world are still doing it.
Sinceramente,já tinha visto esse manobrador, mas nunca imaginei que isso era feito no braço,fiquei admirado em saber como pode duas pessoas empurrar uma máquina estupidamente pesada.👏👏👏👏

I have seen such turning with steam engines in 1964 in India. It was a regular practice, when large stretch of railway lines were of single track. 😀
In 1964 it was normal in some parts of Europe, but now it isn't regular.
So this is real! Before this I only saw it in a video games and thought this is fiction.
Marvelous engineering, two people rotated a platform with a diesel engine on it!
I remembered my childhood days when I used to see and like this railway and turning.
Great. This is the first time I am watching this turntable.
Turntables are on its duty since the golden time of steam era. Few of them are still working.
I love Turntables !!!! Very Rare in India!
2 persons only turn the train wooo superb
So whole class students can play in this table.... Mmm super
Belíssimo flagrante da mudança de direção da locomotiva 🚂 muito bacana parabéns like super garantido 👏💯

what😅 that loco turn table is turned by the two men really they deserve the world record....

Why the need to turn it around? As this is a Road-Switcher type of locomotive...it can operate either direction well.
It's hard to drive with the long hood forwards

It's is true? Only two men rotation the rail engine with manually power ? Or
With electrical power ?
Yes. It is operated manually by two men
I have seen this system in Visakhapatnam, in 1977 to 80. But it electric operates.

One of many many Inventions that came out during the Victorian Era.... those days are long gone for Britain , or are they ???

Whether same kind of turn table is used for coal engine? And also this locomotive can run in both directions. Why tum table is required?
It was used more in coal times ..in this case it depends on facility operations and time..turning gives good visibility..
Locomotif classic
Why are they still using manual turntables? This concept belongs to a bygone era. If not anything else, the turntables must be powered electrically.
