As a Thai person, I would like to say thank you very much for making this video now. It was a dark week in the hearts of all Thai people. It's as if you helped heal some of the dull feelings in my heart. Makes us feel the love that there are still people who continue to support our country. In addition to the sadness from the loss that comes from violence. and the fear that Thailand's reputation may deteriorate in the eyes of tourists. This video of yours truly brings enormous comfort. it was sad to see the news reports of the shooting incident. Condolences and best wishes to those that lost loved ones, or who were injured.
@@neverthelessiamsaved Personally, I am worried that Thailand's tourism image will be damaged. And I think all Thai people are worried about this. And the important thing in this incident is the issue of gun violence. Because in the past 3 years there have been 3 mass shootings. And this is the first time that the gunman is a 14-year-old child. In my opinion, we have to balance economic progress and western culture with maintaining appropriate Thai culture. Over the past 10-20 years, the society of modern teenagers has changed a lot from the traditional ways. The movement for civil rights has grown exponentially, along with teenagers becoming more interested in politics and participating. that is a good thing But the coin has two sides. Some of them have become more violent as well. There is also aggression and harshness towards older people. In which traditional Thai and Asian cultures honor and respect each other more. I'm not saying the old idea was better. I'm not a conservative. But managing the social world of traditional culture and the free Western world must be more balanced. What cannot be denied is that Thailand is not good enough in dealing with and dealing with this problem. Including neglect to enforce gun laws and parents' care for children. I believe that all Thai people still welcome tourists or foreigners as before. But it probably depends more on foreign tourists whether they will still believe in my country or not. Please give us some time to process our feelings of sadness and shock before we can move on. Finally, we can only express our condolences to all the lost people and tourists who were affected both physically and mentally.😢🇹🇭☮️
I'm sorry for the past week, so sad and my heart breaks for these things to be happening in the culture and country I love soo much. My heart is with you all 🙏🙏
It’s unfortunate that the shooting happened, but I hear that the 14 year old was receiving routine psychiatric care? How was he able to get a hold of a gun in the first place? Was the gun legally owned?
My first time in Thailand was January 2023 I booked it for a month ended up staying for another month because I didn’t want to leave bkk. I was training Muay Thai everyday made great friends in class and outside class every day was never a dull moment locals showed me around area locals handout at, majority of the time I was the only foreigner at these areas and they welcomed me with open arms. I love Thailand and the people were amazing to me I thank you so much I’m forever grateful 🙏❤️

I'm an American who moved to Thailand 14 years ago (I live in Chiang Mai). While I am a long time resident in CM, I enjoy visiting BKK. The shooting at the Paragon, my favorite mall was a shock. There is no where on Earth I want to make my home other than Thailand.
I'm Canadian and my Thai wife and I are finally moving permanently to Thailand in November. Almost 14 years in the making and it's finally happening. Thanks for the inspiration.
I have been to Thailand about 15 times and everytime it's the same. Planning the next trip back to Thailand. Next year I am planning on 3 months, and thinking about Thailand every day. I always get the Thailand Blues when I leave. I can't wait to get back to the best country on the planet Thailand
"I'm never leaving Thailand" I consider myself very fortunate. A year before my retirement I had other plans for my retirement. However, a friend talked me into taking a three-week Thailand holiday--not my first trip to SE Asia, but my first trip to Thailand. I came back to the US and started divesting myself of physical property over the course of a year. I retired in July of 2011, and I relocated to Thailand in October of the same year (I wanted to get in one last Burningman festival). I've been living here ever since. I plan to stay in Thailand until I'm the main feature at that big BBQ party at the local Wat.
As a person that is recently suffering from PTSD (Post Thailand Suffering Disorder) and working really hard to “retire” like You soon in Thailand 🇹🇭 I appreciate this video and your channel in general. Thanks to your channel my friends and I made the decision of traveling to that beautiful country this year for 2 months and it changed our lives forever. I cannot go back to thinking I’ll retire in America. Never after this year. Kapunkaaaaap 🙏

We had our best times in the land of smiles for almost 6 years in different parts of Thailand and had fun discovering so many hidden places in Korat, Chonburi and also Bangkok..no matter wherever we go Thailand always feels like home and hits different and is our forever favorite country to visit❤ Thanks Khun Chris!
Just got back from a 5 day stay in Pattaya Thailand. Loved the location and the people. I'm looking to retire there in a few years from the US and thought I'd like to see the country first. Thanks to your channel I was well informed on Thailand before getting there. Thanks for all the good Thai videos and information you put out on your channel. Those BKK sweats, they do feel amazing! I am only alive when I feel those drops running down my back. I also agree with what you say about spontaneity. Having grown up in Finland but never quite feeling like I belonged, once I had spent time in Thailand, Argentina, Mexico and later on elsewhere it has become loud and clear that there is no going back after fifteen years. Life is here and now, every day. Also, a birthday twin here! I hope you had a fun day over in our beloved Thailand!

I spent my 25th birthday on the firing ranges, about 2 months into the 12 month Officer Training for the British Army, and so began a 9 year career working with some of the best men and women I could have ever have met. Interesting times, some good and some bad, but such is life. Exemplo Ducemus.

Nice to see you again. I've been busy but it was nice to have a hit of Thailand. I miss it so much. Brought back a nice memory of a Superbowl Sunday when at 10 am we decided to have a Superbowl party. No time to shop. Just threw together some food and told everyone to bring beer. It was a great party. And our place was no Moonstone. I'd show up there in a heartbeat.
Thailand is my dream home since i was 20, im 34 right now and i promised myself that when i get 40 i will be in my real paradise Thailand.

I just got home from my second trip this year for the Full Moon party (stayed in one of the Bottle Beach bungalos and took their taxi). Im going back again for 30 days after Thanksgiving. half will be in Bangkok and then back to Railay.

We will be in Thailand in May/June so I was youtubing to learn where to go, where to stay, what to do, etc. I think your channel should; 1) Tell inspirational stories of Thai people 2)some culture/history info 3) Travel plan ideas. Your videos are GREAT!!! You break a lot of information down into a short amount of time AND you're positive, energetic and hilarious.
