You can copy your overlays in SE and just take out anything that you don't want and add it as a new sources. So lets say you want to be able to turn off your cam with the overlay box around it. Well you would copy your overlay name it cam or whatever then add it to sources and group it with your cam. Now you can move your cam anywhere with the cam box only. You can also copy your alert box to other overlay to save the time from editing them if you want them in other scenes
which app do you use to edit videos? also please make a video of free editing softwares without watermarks! loved this video btw. definitely would recommend watching this

When I put my camera in it goes behind my overlay
As explained in the video, you have to drag it on top of the overlay in the source list. The order is the same as on screen

How do you fix the OL being too big when you put it in OBS?
Right click -- Transform -- fit to screen
but also your base canvas size might be wrong. Importing a 1080P overlay in your 1080p canvas should be too big
