You are wrong on the rankings. For some reason you have the checkbox ticked that says the boks are not playing at home. Tick it and you will see the boks gain 0 ranking points regardless of how far they beat Argentina this weekend.
Manie Libbok is gonna have a great game...he will pull the strings. A massive backlash will await the Pumas in Nelspruit...the Boks have never lost there...last time they played there the gave the All Blacks a a hiding in 2022. Boks to win comfortably by 15+
The Argentines have been the better developing team overall during the span of this competition and given the big picture NZ maybe the one that took the biggest strides backwards in game quality and attitude. The Boks should take this one but expect sweat and blood to be paid for that privilege.
@@Wildkard Given the Springboks' journey since 2018, yes what you say is correct, it's remarkable how things have evolved, although they have historically remained a consistent Tier 1 team internationally. Argentina, on the other hand, has not shared the same status. They've transformed from a team once regarded as merely 'warm-up' opponents before major tournaments into a formidable force that now commands serious respect on the global stage.

The way i understand it is the home team gets 3 points added to its score and if the difference between team's score is greater than 10 the higher ranked team cannot gain any points regardless of the score. So SA can't regain 1st place because SA's ranking score (plus 3 for home game) is more than 10 points above Argies.
Argentina to roll the boks and upset the apple cart contra to what everyone is saying, they are hungry for their first championship trophy, Vamos Argentina, for the win! from an ABs supporter
Come on, hands on the ground isnt illegal. Not supporting your body weight is. Hands on the ground is generally an indicator of that, but not always. And i applaud Ben O'Keefe for his competence in understanding that and making the correct decision. He truly is a marvellous Kiwi. The best, in fact 😂🇿🇦🇿🇦🍻
And Ben O'Keeffe wasn't going to be biased? South Africa proved to be superior but it was a shameful game for the New Zealander. They played with the feet in all the rucks and were never awarded a penalty, many passes forward, the red card, etc.
@Wildkard even if there is a red card, Wildkard, i think the Boks can not wait to go in this game as they're out to proof a point. Remember what happened at Twickenham to the ABs.
Anyone thinking this match will be close, fantasize about a fairytale ending for the Argentines. Argentina barely scrapped through a win against a disconnected Springbok B-team in their own backyard. They will be facing a Bok-team at full strength in South Africa. They could not contain the Boks forward prowess and was helped in the second half by the ref who when all the Bok big names were substituted decided to give parity when there was none. If the Boks only play on the level they played against the All Blacks the score against this Argentinian side (who does not have setplay) should be 20 plus. Contepomi made crucial changes to a winning side failing to heed to the old saying, "if it aint broke dont fix it". Boks by 20!
@@Wildkard The Argies don't have the personel to go toe to toe with the "A" team Boks just like the All Blacks demonstrated the same point. They are having a good time but they certainly have not demonstrated that they ought to be considered a proper contender for the crown. Their coach realized that he needs to be competitive on Saturday and opted to try what the All Blacks believed would work, playing the Boks off their feet. His decision will prove to be a mistake. The Boks won't be beaten by the same tricks which worked in Argentina.
You're right in the fact that the Boks have the upper hand. But I think you are forgetting a few major things here, fam: - The traveling schedule for this test is BRUTAL and just like the Boks had to rest some guys for the return leg, the Argentinians rested some guys too. You simply cannot play the two fixtures one week apart while traveling, with the same team. - All it takes is one yellow card, one ill-timed injury, or one lucky bounce of the ball to upset the apple cart. - Don't ever -EVER - underestimate a side that was able to beat the All Blacks in New Zealand.
