instead of using the money to buy a mechanic shop somewhere where they can actually get clients, he doubles down and buys the shop in the middle of nowhere where nobody actually needs repairs, only if he damages their cars
Greed makes people idiots.
@@artimuos903 His in-laws always taunted him which chipped at his self worth and masculinity. Buying the shop was his way of redemption.
there's a reason why his father in law disproved of him, he ain't the sharpest knife in the dull knife drawer.
As always if you get money without you sweating for it and getting it in halal way,you won't enjoy with that money or do useful things with it.
Smart business, since your the only shop you have no competition or option
Lesson here, watch your car !
The exact same thing happened to my uncle with a shop like this that was the only in the city, the problem was a $23 dollar delay but the mechanic “scammer” claimed it was the computer and he’d already sent it to get repaired but when my uncle said to stop the order the mechanic said he couldnt, then my uncle checked to see if the computer was still in the truck and funny thing it still was, it had not been moved
Idk how he figure out the scam because he later learned the scammer would remove the computer and paint them with black spray paint then place a sticker that read rebuilt on them fooling almost anyone needing repairs that it as the computer, he got his money back and installed the relay so in the en the truck was fixed but he almost got scammed and at $500 scams I can imagine how people would of felt to find out
Lesson, learn, watch your car, don’t just trust immediately
So the moral of the story is everyone is corrupt. A 6 year old giving that dude a beer was the only normal thing. Lol.
Poverty makes you do things you don't want to.
She did that for the free ride
Normal is subjective as a kid my parents never had vices so i was never allowed to hold a beer can even just to pass it was taboo in my family
Not me.
no the moral is that greed is like a drug, itll makes you sleep with old men and turn u into a hoe for nice clothes if you're dumb
I guess you could say they nailed it
i see what you did there:)))))))))))))))
LMFAO
Very punny.
Take my like and get out
😏
Its odd and very intriguing stories like this that both the Koreans and Japanese do so well Ive noticed. Such a simple concept but still keeps you wanting to know what happens next and not to mention just how many emotions and the changes each character went through just through such a basic concept.
That's why their country's movies are finally starting to get more attention
Great observation and very true
The difference between Western Media and Asian Media is that Asian media aims to teaching people proper values, whereas Western media is solely just for entertainment, and values and the such are typically tossed aside. An example of this is Chinese TikTok, which is filled with educational and informational content, rather than brain-numbing garbage.
Yea movies like these are not commercial blockbusters. So they rarely get funding.
That's because white democrats are too busy tokenizing and white washing existing characters because they're too racist and creatively bankrupt to make something worth seeing. Course this is when they're not molesting children.
I like how instead of trying to find better jobs that could sustain them in the long run they rather buy expensive things that might bring them temporary joy.
Sad that your comment isn't getting enough likes, because that is the real moral of the story. We chase temporary pleasures that bring us more suffering rather than long term value.
That's life for many
Not so far fetched, when you are poor money comes and goes and if you finally have money you spend it on quick dopamine fixes before its gone again. Its not easy to break that habit.
@@weltvonalex yes it is, people are just stupid
Sounds like the middle class mindset to me ...haha
Just to clarify for anyone confused, the end of this video is inaccurate. He didn't rent the big truck to bend the nails down for good or whatever, I'm pretty sure the video creator just glossed over the reality of the ending, which is that Jae-gu killed himself, driving the truck into the repair shop. You can see him drift out of his lane at the end.
i enjoy these movie recaps - but whoever made this literally could not have put less effort into making the video. thanks
That is pretty darn bad if what you said is accurate which I could see as being exactly true to like you said, he's driving the truck straight towards his shop. That the recap here gets this wrong completely changes the complexion of the ending.
Did you actually watch this movie, by chance? Does he end up dying at the end or were you just basing he does by what you seen in the recap here?
@@mbuckley3828 I haven't watched it personally but I scrolled through the comments to find someone who did. Just passing the message along since it's clear a lot of people are confused by the narrator.
Yeah ending seemed to be cut weirdly short. Figured it was something like that
Thank you for the explanation.
Um the dude has a repair shop and can't figure out how to get a nail out or cut it off? Poor guy really is a screw up.
I see what you did there
LMAO
Hey give the guy a break, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed.
@@scribeofsolace hah
Don’t expect everyone to nail it on the first try.
This is actually a true story that happens a lot in egypt as well, unethical people will put nails on the road next to their tire shop to make money
Yah it was popular in the US at one point too, but know it can cost businesses their license on top of heavy fines and jail time.
I haven't heard anything good about Egypt.
@@sumanmalick528 well pyramids?! also egypt is no longer in its prime it used to be like it was one of the richest empire in the world at the time. Its just bad politics that ruined or other superpowers like iran which used to be quite normal like a normal day in the uk but then the government got in ruins bc of america and some other county after this some dumbass ruler who first was chill ruined the country in which turn some other guy took over it so iran turned into a very strict islamic country which derevollutionised them. Also this is not the only example, there are many more. If humanity thought as humanity everyone would have a great life.
Egyptians are one of the biggest scamsters on earth.
So says you, Suman Malick. I haven't heard anything good about your people too.
Even his wife got nailed 😢
Lol
Once a howe,balways a hoe
Lol
ziiiiing!
Talk about nailing jesus to the cross
this actually happened irl
you will often find alot of rusty nails around the roads of auto shops or car wheel sellers
The ending actually implies he crashed the truck into the shop.
One of the tamest get rich quick scheme movies.
Low status AND sterile seed???? Dude got the short end of the stick at birth.
I'm glad there are people in the world somewhere who are still putting moral lessons in movies.
The so called mechanic didn't have a hammer to bend the nails???
its not that there where too many
This is so common, and it's so sad. People who genuinely want to run a proper business have to use shady or downright illegal practices just so they can survive. I don't condone it at all but.....damn if I don't understand why someone would do this...
I do not have sympathy. If you have to damage other people's stuff or practice other immoral behaviors then you do not deserve to run a business and should sell all the business assets.
Part of running a business is knowing how to do it well.
Purposeful sabotage for profit is called being a con artist.

A hammer would be much safer than driving a semi over nails 😂
yeah, bolt cutters and a hammer.
no , he crash truck in own shop
The problem of the couple is that they do not have the guts to be heartless. IF they willing to put nails in the road to scam people to have a better life, they should have the guts to feel not guilty if someone get hurt. Furthermore, the wife should find a way to blackmail Mun back rather than letting him blackmailing her and her husband
"guts to not feel guilty" ?
Guts is not an action, it's a sentiment, it's a natural response that any normally functioning human has. It's like slapping a person for no reason and telling them to have the "guts to not feel angry".
Also, blackmailing only works if you have something big on the other person. They clearly couldn't find anything.
So you're saying all the criminals out there using physical violence and even murdering people for chump change have guts for doing what they do if they show no remorse?
That’s not guts,it’s psychopathy. Anyone who intentionally causes others harm for their own benefit is a crazy person. They are just normal people who didn’t intend for people to get hurt, they just wanted to pop a few tires, not cause accidents injuring or possibly killing people
In other other words, when do bad, commit to the charade?
@@dumbleking5172 yes
When I saw that ending I though it would continue and say his truck crashed.
The nails scam on the road is actually happened a lot in a third world countries.

*too
If you put the nails in the road then you can get them out… lol this movie is silly in certain aspects.
Meh. I mean he didn't, but it could have been done as something like a rivet, that keeps it from being pulled out
@@austinblake55 but the next thing that any normal person would have thought of is to get a hammer and bend it onto the road.
Dude this was such an insane ride of an adventure the amount of plot is hella intense
Why didn’t they use their money to but a mechanic shop somewhere that would actually get clients?😂
I mean… they would have to do that for years to get any type of money to open a shop, much less licensing
The plot must go on.
I took it as the movie showing them being so comfortable with their scamming that they didn’t even think to start over somewhere better. Just stay in this life scamming people to make money. And also he wanted to prove to his father in law that he could it HIS shop. You know ? Or maybe I’m dumb and sleep deprived lol
“To calm her down he gave her some money”
This is actually a common practice in Malaysia.. Heard stories of Nails on wooden blocks covered with leaves.
On top of that, the stores will cheat them further saying there are other issues with the car.
Which state?
The camera shot at 1:21 is kinda smart. Using a mirror to get both actors in the same frame is a nice touch.
Wow. I hadn’t even noticed it. Good eye!

I guess poverty and it's consequences are the same, whatever country it is. Here in the Philippines , I've read and watched so many real, true stories like that.
What a punctured life they are living.
I see what you did there buddy 😅
You hit the nail it in the head,,
You nailed it..... Lol
Taking the screwed nails of the pavement by hand is incredibly smart
The scene of them fighting on a pile of money is a great visualisation of the moral of this story.
Bro, scammers literally jump on your car so they can reap the insurance money.
I keep seeing that, especially in China 😂

No, since they don't do that.

She was blackmailed
@@safiyam.3938 I know but even when being blackmailed you have a choice she chose to get fucced repeatedly so 🤷🏿♂️
@@safiyam.3938 lol that’s a trash ass excuse to cheat on someone, all she did was make the situation worse it’s not like bro not gonna tell anyway, and in reality his word isn’t enough evidence neither was the nail and the real reason she slept with him was to continue living a luxury lifestyle he clearly said he would quit before the person went to the police. Sad part is this is exactly what happens to men who live normal lifestyles and when a guy who is living a lifestyle that’s a bit better and has luxury in it such as taking her shopping and what not as well as personality differences or status, and often times then not it’s a terrible outcome because those men tend to not be good fathers, or husbands.
I wouldn't strictly define it as cheating if she was coerced into doing it. Similarly to how we don't blame victims of sexual assault. She clearly did not want to, and normally wouldn't have done it (she even stays with her husband despite her family's hatred of him, that's loyalty), but felt as if she had to in order to protect her and her husband. Personally I didn't like either of them for being so arrogant and lazy, but it was a sad situation for her that SHE put herself into. Whatever the reason was, valid blackmail or not, being coerced or pressured into sexual activity is never a consensual thing. She chose the easy way to make money and got burned deeply in the process. That's on her, yes, but let's not act like she wanted to or should be shamed for doing so, when the real shame should be on her and her husband's get rich quick schemes. Thanks for reading.

Wouldn't it be suspicious when pretty much every single car that runs along that road ends up with a flat tire because the nails don't come out?
When you get your money through underhanded means it won’t last & the things purchased with the money will only bring hardship.
I have to admit koreans have good stories
Movie is interesting and funny story I once lived somewhere that the local tire shop was busted for dropping nails on the road in town to cause flat tires. A extremely high number of people were getting flat tires and either a local or the police scouted the stretch of road and busted the tire shop putting out nails.
It’s amazing they made a whole ass movie about a mundane crime.
