I live in Canada and everything is super-expensive here. I bought this for $118 CAD (plus tax lol). To me, even though I paid an 'arm and a leg' for this whiskey, it's absolutely the best! I'm not exaggerating, this is the best Irish whiskey I've ever tried. Loving every little sip. I have to savor it too, as it's in very short supply where I am. Amazing Irish whiskey. I feel like a king drinking this, haha.
    Great review, keep it up!

I just got the standard bottle and I love that I'm getting a moderate mix of bourbon and scotch characteristics. I found the boldness of bourbon oak mixed with the dry fruitiness of sherry scotch. I found a hint of maltiness on the nose and a hint of sweet bread or cereal on the palate as well. It just became one of my favorites.

I was looking for you on the live stream last night looked like everyone was there but you hahaha! I also wanted to thank you. I tried green spot and liked it. But the kicker was I bought a bottle of Connemara and I love it! I think I like the peat. Which is a big step for me😂 thank you so much Bill! I look forward to all your videos. Also you and the family take care during this difficult time. Thanks again!!!

Excellent whiskey had it today. I would say it is the best I have ever had. Packs such a powerful punch but is subtle. The heat coming back up is akin to an Irish poitin (illegal Irish drink/moonshine)
My next big buy will be the 21.

Enjoying my very first Redbreast whiskey. Oddly, I thought I'd start with the cask strength first. It appears to offer more of a well-rounded punch than my favorite Yellow Spot for Irish Whisky's . Very fruity, minus the floral notes I find in Y.S. Especially as a tad bit of water opens up the nose in with a long and lingering finish I haven't experienced in other Irish Whiskey's. Great succinct and sport on analysis. Thank you

Bill, thanks for the review. Just received my first bottle and it was from on-line order. Was surprised to see the box was dark, almost black given it is always in the red box on the shelf like the standard 12 year. But it is the B2 / 19 bottling at 55.8% ABV. Since I enjoy the 12 year so much, looking forward to this CS. Cheers!!

I'm not a big fan of Irish whiskey, but I like Redbreast, especially the Cask Strength. It's excellent. My bottle has "12 Years" on it, so we probably have different years (mine is also 56.2%, not 55.8%). I'm glad I don't taste banana, which is one of my least favorite tastes in whiskeys.
