I wish I was born later to expensive a lively Splash Mountain. I was born in 2009, so maybe 2013 was my first time. It feels like I missed out 😢 I used to close my eyes when I saw the vultures when you went up the mountain lol

You might’ve been a little young to remember, but 2013 was actually when they did a massive overhaul of the attraction that got it very close to this condition and in some ways better at least when it came to the lighting quality in certain scenes such as the Laughing Place. I’d suggest watching the videos going over Splash Mountain’s maintenance history on this channel if you haven’t already. Obviously, they let the attraction rot again near the end and that’s the strongest memory of it that will stick with some people unfortunately.

i definitely think the additional fur on brer foxs tail is a improvement to his tail at disneyland his tail looks like a monkey at disneyland

i do not care how broken the ride is splash mountain at walt disney world will always be my splash mountain even though i personally prefer tokyo because of the darker slippin falls drop and with a couple additional animatronics not in the florida version

@@TheSplashMountainChannel thats a bummer. Havent been to WDW in about 5 years, just rode the Disneyland version in March. It was a still a great time, rode it 3 times, but it is definitely not as lively as it once was. Hoping to get to WDW to ride their version one more time before closure.

The Brer Rabbit animatronic got replaced in the beginning because it had water damage they replaced with a cheaper bot like the one from Disneyland

No. But there are a lot of differences. Now, he just has static plastic eyes, added fur, and limited movement. It almost does look like a completely different animatronic, though.
