Still sounds beautiful in 2024!
And after all these years neither of
you has aged one bit! Amazing!
About 14 years ago RUclips offered your Canarios to me. In the first weeks I looped it for hours on end as alternating between multitasking on various matters of data analysis and glued to watching and listening to the two of you perform this piece of mischievous magic of seamlessly weaving themes of Bach in and out of Canarios. I come back to this every now and again. Absolutely delightful!
Oh so wonderful. 14 years ago - and I’ve only just heard this. Another marvel from you two. God bless you!
Still magnificent 1 year later.
Helps with my dry eyes problem!
Absolutely love this arrangement which blends the Sanz theme with the prelude to the 6th Bach cello suite. Brilliant!
My favourite piece by Luteduo. Many thanks.
Beautiful performance 👏 ❤
I love the bits of Bach slotted in
My son is studying classical guitar at a conservatoire in England and has just started theorbo lessons. Unfortunately I’ve not heard him play it yet due to lockdown and not being able to visit him but I’m very much looking forward to doing so.
Thank you for this wonderful performance.
I've heard many renditions of Canarios on different instruments. I have to say that this is the best that I've heard to date. It's very inspiring. (Now if only I could find a baroque guitar and theorbo.)
Same here, but it's almost impossible to find or buy a baroque guitar or a theorbo
@@aguywithaguitar8476 I have seen baroque guitars for sale on eBay; theorbos are much harder to find.
I love the way the melodies of the two instruments just dance with each other. Amazing!
Bravo!
Anna’s finger work sometimes … Outrageously brilliant. As you both are.
I knew lute and baroque guitar have wider expression by seeing your movies. many thank you.
Glorious in every way ! A masterpiece. Thank you so much.
I listen to this sublime performance every few months; it brings tears to my eyes every time. The visceral mixture of joy and tristesse that radiates from the music reminds us of our mortality, but comforts us with a profound sense of shared experience with our fellow humans, across time and space. The delicacy and restraint of the performers adds a wonderful lustre to their artistry. Oh, how I love this piece.
I have now heard the Canarios in a way I could have never imagined. Amazing!
I admire the serene and cool force of Anna Kowalska. She is a calm soul.
Lovely!!.. I love the look on Anna's face when Anton starts strumming. Such a wonderfully expressive face.
What a refreshing change this is from the all-to-common "beat you to the finish line" versions of Sanz' classic, wherein the (usually male) guitarist plays at a tempo too rapid for actual dance-ability, variations in timbre, dynamics, or rubato. Duet arrangements of Canarios are fairly rare. This one captures the lively spirit of the original, but with a lighter, more playful expression than usually heard. Anna's rasqueado demonstrates great touch and is a joy both to watch and hear.
Such an amazing arrangement. The way you just draw up closer and closer to that strummed refrain, building the tension more and more until finally resolving it. So joyous. Brings tears to my eyes. Perfect pairing of Bach and Sanz.
Man, Anton is rockin it on those bass notes here!
The music is beautiful.
Anna is gorgeous.
Yezzz
Brilliant!
Beautiful and powerful - love the duo on this piece.
Bravo! Bravo! Beautiful. Thank you!!
Really beautiful sound, thank you for the performances and for sharing the video.
What an amazing performance
After hearing the beats....i cannot ever play bach 6 the same now 🎉🤯
Lovely and dance inspiring
delightful!
greatings from Berlin - S.
What a joyous piece! Never getting tired of watching and listening to this video. Probably my most favorite among numerous outstanding videos Luteduo provides. Young Anna Kowalska's beautiful smile is unforgettable. In this vide Anton also plays as much as Anna. I love their congruous performance. Apparently both enjoy playing this Canarios. It was a performance of the century in Bialystok, Poland, on October 26, 2009. Wow, it has a real historic value! I visited Warsaw last summer and will visit there again this summer. Poland is a beautiful and culturally-rich country. Luteduo's music represents the best of the bests. Bravo! and Dzienkuje bardzo!
Magnifique duo jouant ce morceau connu de Gaspard Sanz..Musique enjouée et tellement belle.Encore bravo
Amazing.
This is so fantastic! Great arrangement, and beautifully played by both of you. Sorry to be so late in discovering this, or the two of you, I'm now listening to a lot of your stuff, wonderful!
Se le van a uno los piés. Gaspar Sanz era un compositor espléndido y popular.
Wonderful Spanish Baroque music ...
No two performances of theirs are ever the same making each one a unique and infinitely rewarding experience. Bravo !!.
Dear friends, your version is lovely! Congratulations!
One of my favorite videos in RUclips. Every while, I come back to it -and I always feel joy & gratitude !
Wow! What a brilliant arrangement, superb playing and a wonderful combination of instruments.

PERFECTO..ENHORABUENA POR EL TRABAJO Y POR INTERPRETAR A UN COMPOSITOR ESPAÑOL...GRACIAS DESDE ESPAÑA
This never gets old. 🙂
Simply beautiful. And so artistically expanded upon.
I am thankful I can listen to this.
Always delightful to watch and listen. Luteduo--the best!
One of the most beautiful duets featuring these two instruments I've ever heard. Thank you!! These seem a perfectly matched pair in more ways than one!
Excellent
Even an average quality recordings are very enjoyable. Must be a special talent for this - theorbo not outcrying or giving a weird metallic tone,
It was designed before over-wound guitar strings, so to get lower bass notes the strings had to be longer.
That's a theorbo, which is like a baroque harp guitar. It has 6 regular strings on the fret board and 8 harp strings played open. The harp strings add deeper bass, so they're much longer so they can reach the really low notes below the fretted strings.
on of my favorite pieces ,,played florals by you ... Thanks !
Wonderful arrangement. Good job, guys!
Great performance! Bravo! In addition to the guitar I have a shortened transcription of this for ukulele that I love playing.
Fabuleux ! Quel merveilleux cadeau nous font ces artistes superbes. Luth et guitare sont frère et soeur ! enchanteurs.
Superbe performance Merci !!!!
Wonderful! Thank you!
fantastic sound from a couple of strange looking instruments
Nothing strange about those instruments. A baroque guitar and a theorbo. Quite common instruments in Baroque music performance..
Captivating! A great new experience in enjoyment.
What a lovely performance! Sanz never met Bach, but the mix of their music is very funny here :)
Phenomenal! I doubt that that the majority of people that view this grasp the total focus and commitment it takes to perform in this way. I'm speechless! WOW!
I have no words to describe... This version is just, superb! It makes me want to live in the XVII century and dance all the time!
Looks like a baroque guitar and a chitaronne (Chitarra teorbato or theorbe) to me. De Visée played both these vuitar instruments of course...not too wild a speculation to hear them played together, they were used in baroque operas by Monteverdi, Purcell and Lully, amongst others. They make a fantastically full sound together, don't they just!
Love the composition! Great performance! Kudos!
Anna your music is beautiful and the gentleman accompanying you is as well,,thank you so much for recording this
Merci de vos musiques merveilleuses.🤗
Músicos habilidosos e perfeitos para este tipo de musica Renascentistas, maravilhosamente executados como poucos no cenário musical mundial.
Skilled musicians and perfect for this type of Renaissance music, wonderfully performed like few in the world music scene.Congratulations\wow/

I'm with you, John. Sensational aren't they?
Moi aussi, vive la Pologne!!!
They blend in Bach so delightfully
+Ashok Joshi what do you mean by bach>
This piece is a mixture of the Canarios by Gaspar Sanz and parts of a Bach lute suite.
am falling in love... hahaha
i know.. i know.
What a wonderful arrangement. Plus interweaving elements of the Bach 6th cello suite really added a nice touch Bravo!
Exalted fun!
Utterly fantastic - practically unbelievable.
