Usually Donnie using his martial arts would move at the last second but someone on Tyson's level in a script fight made him have to move before Tyson threw a fist.

@@youme9015 i agree with u sir that traditional martial arts works but i think modern martial arts is basically just refind versions of all martial arts. It's a better version where u remove all the useless features of privious form. So practicing traditional martial art like wing chun in modern time is like using a keypad phone in 2023. However there are some exceptions because I think muaythai , karate , and snada and even wu shu are really good .

Generally,boxers have not enough speed with their body movements, they have ability to give only high strong impulse with their strong hands.Not only Mike but also Mohammad Ali etc.Specially martial arts ethics work against speedness.When you reach at extreme,then you can clearly see that style can be adopted by everyone ,but right decision at instantaneous moment & perfect guessing response with speedy moves are really hard.

Coming from a person that actually does martial arts, I can say that if this fight was in real life Mike Tyson would curve stomp Ip man. Reason One: Wing Chung is one of the worst martial arts. No offense to people that do Wing Chung or Ip Man I got nothing against ya’ll, but Wing Chung is straight up dog water. Wing Chung would only work if the person you are fighting does wing Chung as well. There are just too many flaws in Wing Chung which is why it is regarded in the martial arts community as one of the worst martial arts. For example, there is a boxer that fought a high ranking Wing Chung guy that studied under the disciple of Ip man or whatever and the boxer dominated the fight AND HE WAS ONLY USING ONE HAND. Reason Two: Mike Tyson is much bigger and stronger then Ip man. Long story short, Mike Tyson could just beat Ip Man in One Punch and Ip Man couldn’t even get near him.
