Bruce Lee's nunchaku against Ip Man's duster definitely will be legendary
I can say that it is one of the best things that I've seen about martial arts since the 90's . The person who dedicated time creating this scene is really a person who can be called an artist by showing the art in the martial art in an age that just aggressiveness takes place.

Enjoyed this very much. Many older folks seasoned in WC and JKD are aware of an incident that happened between Bruce Lee and Ipman. Bruce visited Ipman from America and very enthusiastic in showing Ipman his evolving system implying that Ipman had too many limitations. During chi aso he attempted a surprise move and was kicked across the room by Ipman. A surprised Bruce asked “What was that?” to which IpMan replied “I did not teach you everything”. What many folks don’t remember or know was that Bruce came to America without learning the complete system of WC. He only learned about one third. He nevertheless was a Genius when it came to researching and developing a system/Philosophy that works very well for him and encourage his students to do the same giving them only a matrix to work from. I personally have been enriched by his and Ipman’s philosophy and examples....now it’s past my bedtime....any disgruntled replies to my comments will most likely be ignored by my having a senior moment...😎.... buenas noches muchachos...
RabboniInDaBronx Ip man must have been very flexible to kick Bruce across the room I studied Wing Chen for many years and practiced Chi sao in tradition wing Chun don’t they practice this in ma Bau or the goat riders stance. I am amazed that from that position Ip Man could generate that much power. Interesting
Anthony Brogan Good point. It’s what I have heard from seasoned practitioners. My understanding is that Bruce was concerned this would be made public. IpMan wasn’t interested in building his practice on public relations. Whether this is a small urban legend seasoned practitioners or factual, if factual I would’ve loved to have seen it. I guess the point JKD and wing Chun instructors shared this with was to indicate that although all martial arts have limitations, to imply this on the basis that you have full knowledge of an art without actually having it can be somewhat arrogant and foolish. Nevertheless, I continue to admire both their legacies.

Bruce Lee vs his Teacher IP Man. Never. Even if Ip Man had been alive when Bruce Lee became famous, Bruce would never have fought his master. That would have been absolutely disrespectful. A fight between Donnie Yen, however, could very well have happened if Bruce Lee hadn't died so early. The fight would have been very interesting. Because Donnie Yen's idol is Bruce Lee as far as I know
I agree with what you say and have made a similar comment myself. However, Bruce Lee and Donnie Yen would never fight, Bruce is 25 years older, he'd be 81 now if he'd still be alive, Donnie is still 57.
Wow. I never paid attention to it. But it's logical. Jackie Chan and Donnie shot together twice and in Bruce Lee's films Jackie was still young. But if Bruce and Donnie had been around the same age, I think it would have either ended up pretty tied or Bruce would have narrowly won.

Lee has challenged his Master 3 times and he never won. But Lee is one of the Greatest Martial Artist in History, apart from Ip Man.

Bruce Lee's martial art is starting of MMA
The animation was great but the thing is Bruce wouldn't use weapon hand to hand combat unless his opponent use it first.
That was the best thing I’ve ever seen,
But it was also specially shot so that Donnie Yen wins as Ip Man. Bruce Lee was much faster than shown in the video.
People mistaken that Wing Chun master only good in hand movement. In fact Ip man was still pretty fast at age of 50. And able to beat the young Wong Shun Leong easily. According to Ip man students, his kick is very powerful. I believe Bruce is no where near Ip man level if compete at the same age.
Bruce Lee is better than ip man. The real ip man only studied wing chun. Bruce created his own martial arts because he said wing chun was too limited and didn’t really work that well in a fight. Ip man smoked and didn’t take care of his body, while Bruce trained 9+ hours a day EVERY day for 7 years. Bruce combined bodybuilding with speed training and invented protein shakes. He has world records that have still not been broken today because of his outstanding ability and was near to superhuman. He was stronger, faster and more intelligent than ip man. The ip man you watched in the movies is called Donnie yen. Even Donnie yen said that Bruce Lee would end him very quickly. He said Bruce was his idol and he even learnt Bruce’s martial arts...so you were saying ?

@@melonmusk3976 well he is right tbh a wing chun master has said that when learning wing chun it's not about the physical acrobatics, it's about keeping your body healthy and in good shape. It's not the best martial art to use in a fight and bruce was just built different, bruce was so fast that even the camera cannot catch his punches! And strength all I gotta say is the guy can push him self up with 1 finger and also did the 1 inch punch to a world karate champion at the time who couldn't even handle it.

The ip man movies are mostly fiction. The producers themselves said that they didn’t want to film a documentary, but a compelling movie series. Even though ip man in real life was Bruce’s sifu, we don’t know how good of a fighter he actually was since he doesn’t exactly have any formally documented fights
