    I saw the boat go out yesterday then was suprised when it returned five minutes later as I came off the beach the fishermen had just fetched the tractor out to pull it in ,obviously that failed just glad it wasn’t full of fishermen . Well done r n l l just shows that they are there to protect us at all times Thankyou lads xxx

      They do a weekly exercise to test the boats and keep our volunteers in check. These people are not paid and the seas hold no mercy.. digny diver rescures or not.. we respect our precious RLNI and all they stand for. God save 🙏 🇬🇧

    What a special treat for us and what brave people those ten human beings are! I think of a lifeboat size as in the lifeboat at the old station at Lytham by the windmill. This craft is ideal for the purpose.
    This film ought to be shown to all people who doubt how powerful even knee deep seawater can be just a few yards from the beach. In the depths of winter the high winds could probably blow a person into the sea even when walking on the sand. Best keeping well away from the edge of waves landing, the danger cannot be calculated by landlubbers!
    Thank you so much Visit Fylde Coast especially as the film was shot in your very hard earned break.

      @Eryk Freethinker...Just watched the video of RNLI Sugar.Truly Amazing Volunteers who literally put their own lives on the line each and every time that they go down that ramp into an ocean that could possibly be calm one minute and quite easily change!XX

      @@kristinejames9812 Glad you made it here from my link Mein Leibling! What you write is absolutey true, Guiding Star of My Heavens! They are just as brave as the four civilians including Willian Shatner [Captain Kirk] and the other three who are now astronauts. Any of the Seven Seas can be as dangerous as going to outer space and has been since the first ever seafarers plucked up the courage to risk losing sight of land and sail into the unknown. Our lifeboat service should have more government support at this time when Covid 19 may have made crewing a lifeboat difficult - no social distancing there, even 20 feet from the beach.
      Salutations my Proud, Brave Beauty XXX🤗🐙💐

    Marvellous how they are trained in all weathers to go out I am presuming it was a training expedition 😊

    I was in that exact spot Sunday cycling past all the men with fishing rods who you never think catch anything only to see one reel in a large stingray. Most unusual.

    Was it a rescue or a training exercise? If the tide was going out it could be that the boat under water was too heavy for the RNLI to to pull back onto shore in one go. xx

      I think it was a real job, although I couldn’t say for certain

    I would be surprised if 10 fully kitted out rescuers were sent to resolve a minimal craft issue that could be hauled in by one person.
    Clearly, a training exercise, - you don't even throw 10 personnel on a true rescue...
    ....you certainly would not 'waste' that amount of rescue force on such a non-life threatening incident.

      You are wrong. Until RNLI and Coastguard resue team get to the scene, they only have the 999 call details to go on.

    • @Wishyoufly
      @Wishyoufly 3 года назад +2

      It was real, you must not have seen many call outs, there are loads of crew that turn out - RNLI, coastguard, police…. no one knows the scale of the incident until they arrive

      And I hope you aren't stupid enough to put yourself in this position. I doubt it, but do not knock these amazing people who risk their lives to save idiots who are stupid. These workers are volunteers so show some respect.
